This is a time when there were thousands of jedi all over the galaxy - remember last episode when the local temple were surprised that Courascant would be interested in looking into their break-in (and attempted murder of a master)? To them, it'd be like four police officers threatening a community out beyond their jurisdiction - from a police force of thousands - and the local population hoping the larger force won't care if rogue officers don't come back. It was just a hope thrown out there that they might be able to be left alone.
@@aprilshighfantasysoul5891 Jedi aren't going to let Jedi go missing without investigation. They would have information on where the Jedi were going for their mission. They'd come to the planet.
They made a point of explaining the toxic plant, again, in the same episode that we see a pile of seemingly unmarred bodies that were gathering for a meeting. I feel like they were poisoned.
I didn't catch that Torbin was injured in that scene when Osha woke up. This reinforces my belief that things probably got out of hand when the Jedi went to pick up Osha.
I’m wondering if they saw the fire and rushed in to help, and the coven not knowing who started the fire assumed the Jedi were attacking them and Torbin being a padawan was probably nervous and jumpy and it all just went south from there.
@@homozaur yeah I agree. I bet the coven had no idea it was Mae who started the fire and assumed it was the Jedi doing. A fight broke out and Mae witnessed the whole thing.
@CantstopMe-bg9necrazy how one side acts like the show is the worst thing on earth and is all bad because of "woke" whatever, and the other side acts like there cant be any criticisms against the show without it being bigoted prejudice. its so hard to have any genuine conversation about this show and its pros and cons
My theory is when the jedi came to pick up oasha Mother Koril attacked the jedi who then killed all the whiches the sith will be demasked to be Koril she will reavel that she barely survived after sol killed "mama" and that is going to turn oasha to the dark side and she will have to fight sol they said this show was going to be from the perspective of the bad side and so far it's oashas story so I'm calling her turn to the dark because sol killed "mama" and lied about it
@@edwardmccoy490I like that theory but I don’t think Sol killed her, maybe one of the others did. And I don’t see Osha going to the dark side, the whole point of this story is one twin represents the light and the other represents the dark, to have both go dark would ruin the story
I think it's really telling of the Jedi way of seeing things that we see Sol, arguably the one who embodies the ideals of the Jedi the best in the show, say, "the Jedi saw how special I was." Despite his idealism and humility, Sol still sees himself, and by extension the Jedi, as something more than others
yhh also he says the jedi don’t take children but they still show up and give children an offer they can’t rlly refuse, which then kinda guilt trips the parents into letting them go, it’s still pretty shady imo, even if he genuinely does want the best for the kids and believes that there’s more of a choice than there actually is i wonder if he becomes teacher specifically after this incident
@@SentinalSlice The "told old" thing is something we hear from Jedi **80+ years after this.** It's possible they didn't used to have such strict rules.
Really interested to see where this mystery is going, Sol is probably my favourite character at the moment, and for a guy who learned English for the role, Lee Jung-jae doesn’t come across as wooden at all, he’s incredibly charismatic and I’m excited to see his progression over the series.
@@Tm-dn9ob I know. Regarding the door I think it's a fakeout, I think that generator thingy was sabotaged by the jedi, probably by the wookie, and that's what caused most of the fire.
I'd like to point out that the other episode titles were two words (Lost/Found and Revenge/Justice) while this one was just "Destiny." I think we definitely only have half the story
its intresting these guys teach about the power of complete attachment to one another sort of showing an opposing view to the perfect detachment and both come to unhealthy conclusion
Good call. The Jedi are portrayed negatively as we are from the POV of the witches, but the Jedi try to defuse the situation when they first meet, and even after Torbin is attacked. That's not to say something fishy may have went on after Mae started the fire and the blame is being passed to her, and thats why I also think we'll uncover more about what truly happened here.
Okay, as someone who doesn't watch this alt channel (blindwave main viewer). Do they usually go out of their way to be more positive for star wars specific stuff? Cause I definitely feel like theres some difference in energy here.
Anakin decided to pursue a relationship with Padme, despite the rules - for just such this reason. If there was a jedi textbook entry defining why the Jedi eschew attachments - it would be Anakin Skywalker.
For what reason now? Besides, the Jedi completely eschewing attachments, and more problematic, the emotions that lead to them, were exactly the reason for Anakin's downfall. If the Order wasn't so stuck in their dogmatic ways by the point of the prequels and had instead taught their members to embrace emotions, especially positive ones like love, while also teaching them healthy ways of dealing with the negative emotions that can come from those attachments - jealousy, greed, fear of loss, etc - Anakin would probably have been fine. But he had no one to turn to - or at least he felt like he couldn't - and was taught no other way of dealing with his issues other than "Well, just cut yourself off from your emotions and make sure you never have them again in the first place", basically.
I noticed that out of all the witches, she’s the only one with the yellow dark side eyes. Perhaps she’s not the Sith master, but she was definitely Fallen.
If you look in the background during the ascension ritual, there are two hooded figures standing on each side of Mother Aniseya. They look similar to the witch-guards, but they don't have the bows or any sort of weaponry. Also, you can't see their faces even under the hood -- its all black. They do not participate in the ritual, they do no chants and they don't wave their hands around. They're just watching. And when the Jedi arrive, they look around and then disappear -- they do not follow the rest of the witches. I feel like they could be the two Sith. Probably would explain how the twins came to be (some dark side experimenting with the Sith -- which would explain where Plagueis got it from). The witches could be in league with them. Once the Jedi learned of the immaculate conception, I feel they would be very reluctant to leave since they would believe one of the twins could be the chosen one from the prophecy.
@@JackMarcuson Then good. I don’t care if you preface it with cute buzzwords like “woke” or “DEI”, if your only comment is about how the color of someone’s skin makes them bad, you’re just racist.
Like it or not, Episode 9 is as much of a part of the canon as The Clone Wars, The Mandalorian, and everything else that we’ve received in this new continuity. I may not like it myself but it’s what we got and what we’re working with.
I think they are trying really hard to give Palatine's return context in the Rise of Skywalker. I've heard people mention that Mae and Osha were the dyad in the force that Palps was talking about that was unseen for generations, but there were some other lines that he said like "with your hatred you will take my life and you will ascend" so interesting that this ritual is called the Ascension. Also, I found it interesting how with the witches they start with the power of one, the power of two, and then the power of many. Palps starts with the power of many (all the sith live in him), and then he literally says the power of two restores the one true emperor to Kylo and Rey. When Master Indara recognizes Mae in the first episode she says "What are you doing here?" and Tommen says "I've been waiting for you Mae." Why were they not surprised that she was alive? I definitely think Mother Koril has something to do with all this. Maybe she summoned the sith who helped create the sisters to go after the Jedi. Tommen was possessed by the dark side (like Mae from the vision), he clearly had some recurring issues because somehow in the six years following that incident he become a master and then took the vow just to wake up 10 years later to kill himself..."we thought we were doing the right thing" cannot just be referring to them separating Osha and Mae. Lots of questions...
BRO!!!!! This entire episode brings me so much memories of the SWTOR trailer of force twins who are born into royalty, both are dark siders but the one in black is light sided whilst the one in white became corrupted with rage when the father pits them against each other in a competition on who gains the throne. WE need to see Mae's and the Jedi's perspective in the next episode, next, in order to put the whole story into fruition. Which of course I am looking forward to. Edit: Aaron's shirt is the best, I am all for it.

The exception of this channel is very telling about how incredibly bad the whole show is. I'm not even bothered by new movement ideologies, if it's done right no one complains (check Fallout with Lucy and Maximus). Some that call themselves as anti-woke will get anything they can work with to badmouth a show, they even tried to do so with Fallout at the start, but ultimately folded. This show though...how are we going to critique without doing any mentions to writing and overall quality? It's impossible to not compare to other SW movies and shows, and look at this one and feel that some elements could have been done much better. Negativity sells well. But too much positivity masquerades it too. It becomes hard to be in a productive discussion if our only option is to be "positive".
Such a shame that the guy who played Tommen now has played a second character who, in his last moments, is floating in air and then dies shortly after hitting the ground.
I just wanna say, I don't know why any actor would want to be a part of Star Wars when there's such a high chance a large part of the fandom will just attack them for being in something they deem unworthy. Literally has been happening since Phantom Menace with Jake Lloyd. I feel so bad seeing the backlash against not only the show but also the actors.
stop spreading the Lies the media made up about Jake Lloyd. Both Him and his Mother said it wasnt from bullies. so sick of people spreading this bullshit.
Fun fact literally every single actor who's been in star wars has been harassed and bullied by the internet, it's such a difficult job to be paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to to play pretend and have some people say mean things to you. Like Jesus christ can you people grow up.
So fans are just supposed to keep their mouths shut and not give any feedback? So the studios can continue to put out garbage and think it’s ok? Film/tv has been pure garbage for a half decade and nothing has changed
The fight between the twins during Mother Aniseya's lesson was because Osha kept playing with the fruit and was not paying attention and Mae kept hitting her to get her to pay attention so it was not out of nowhere.
I think they need to take in account details that they miss when they're looking down writing things. They miss certain looks or things in the background and nuances people would normally spot when they're watching not reacting and trying to write down info. New Rockstars points a lot of things out that normal reaction channels missed in this episode. Like none of these guys questioned that May appears out of nowhere and says that she would kill her sister to stop her from leaving.? No one realizes that they're on a planet with a bunch of mind controlling witches and jedi? I thought the child acting was fine. I'm not going to nitpick it like Rick because I know they're doing more acting that a lot of adults do.
@@ghostlee6434 I agree! But I also think the direction didn't do any favors on where to focus attention so perhaps they were all really focusing on Aniseya and only half paying attention to what the twins were doing.
it's funny because I saw that happening in the background and went "man that is just so SPOT ON sibling behaviour" and then... it spiraled way out of control

First thing I thought of is they are Singing Mountain Clan witches from Dathomir, you would see these force witches in the mountain on Dathomir in the old Star Wars MMO, Star Wars Galaxies
There are people saying that this chapter takes away Anakin's Specialness, but NO, Osha and Mae were made voluntarily by Someone through the force without a very broad purpose, Anakin was created by The Force itself, as an attempt to bring balance, In both there is no father, but in different ways, by different forces, with different potentials and for different purposes, Osha and Mae do not take away what is special from Anakin What made Anakin special is his actions and his potential, not how he was created.
One thing I try to point out is the difference of Anakin and the twins. He was all powerful without even trying. Mae has shown to have ability but not raw power, and Osha has barely any connection. Plus, we don’t even know if they were actually created from the force or by some outlawed method.
Could not agree more. Those people are just looking at the result itself and not the means. Anakin was literally conceived by the Force, no witchcraft or magick was involved by outside parties. And as you said, the circumstances for both are so vastly different, and far beyond a shared line of there being no father.
i mean, okay, sure, they were made .. which is different i agree ... but you realize how broken that is? the power to be able to create life with the force
@@cristobaltaiba5031nevermind, I just watched the scene where palpatine talks about plagueis and it was already stablished the ability to create life 😂😂
The only theory I can see that makes everyone's actions and character make sense: Indara is the bad Jedi and her padewan Torbin was following her commands in killing all the witches, enforcing a Jedi monopoly on the force. Sol doesnt know. The wookie is upset about the tragedy their interference caused, but doesn't know Indara and Torbin killed everyone. Sol taking in Osha was not Indara's idea. Osha was supposed to die with the others but after Sol saved her it was too suspicious to stop him him since that was their ostensible goal. Indara considers Osha an abomination and worked to make sure she would never be accepted as a Jedi knight.
We need to know more about this coven of witches. Mother Aniseya name in ancient Greek means "resurrection". Also, on the planet Tython the Jediiha would meditate on the two moons Ashla which representative the light side of the force and the Bogan which representative of the dark side of the force. Notice that this planet Brendok also has two moons one Red and other Blue. Both where in "conjunction" in the sky when the witches were doing their "Ascension Ceremony".
@chrisf5828 Good theory. We just need much more information and they never tell us everything we want to know one episode. Whatever answers we get, they give us several more questions!

I personally liked the episode, I don't think it destroyed the lore, just added a few to it, and even then, we still don't know everything, by FAR.
One of the greatest contributions from the Clone Wars/Rebels era is showing that the Jedi/Sith divide is just one perspective on the Force. Just like in real life a hundred pairs of eyes can look at the same universe and see a hundred different things.
@NoWay-us1is Blah blah blah. There's plenty of negativity hategasms elsewhere. A cursory search on youtube or social media will direct you to your preferred echo chamber.
That's not how it is nor how the Jedi and Sith are portrayed. The Jedi are meant to follow the will of the force, when they stray from it, that's how the order falls. The Sith use the force for their own benefit. There's no middle ground, there's no "gray jedi". The clone wars and the prequels in general are about how good institutions can be corrupted.
The only thing its good at showing is that there are perspectives but the main intention is always that what the jedi represents in terms of the light side being upheld, is the actual correct one while the dark side is supposed to be the cancer.
I love Sol in this ep. Watching a second time with the crew, while I believe he has honest and good intentions, i can completely believe how someone could watch him talk to Osha and just see a Jedi trying take a child in a negative light.
Sooooooo... Takeaways from this episode. Mae was a psychopath long before the Jedi appear in her life. Both the witches and the Jedi are fine with manipulating children, although with the Jedi there is at least the illusion of choice. Leaving a cult is *hard* , especially when they don't want you to. It really doesn't take much to push Mae to sororicide. The Jedi don't actually have a problem with an 8 year old joining them, or they wouldn't bother to come and test the girls and offer them spots (tbf, given the complaints a century later, it may be because of the experience with these two). Stone burns (who knew?). For some reason the witches had their entire complex wired for detonation? I guess its a handy last resort, though strangely short-sighted... I'm aware they're aiming for Rashomon here. I assume there will be at least one more like this to try and make sense of it. Just don't trust they'll be able to pull it off given the very odd handling of everything presented in this one. My housemate and I spent quite a while trying to work out why it left us cold (and only this one, we liked the first two), and it kept coming back to odd, weird, confusing, and strangely nonsensical. Telling stories from different points of view actually don't want these qualities, it makes them hard to understand. Here's hoping it was an aberration and the writing goes back to being a little clearer...
@bowdennthani732 nonsensical for an example is jedi not using there weapons when confronting enemies and lack of using the force to restrain said suspects and arresting the person using the force. You had one jedi master, one jedi knight and a padawan and a failed padawan against one girl and she escapes there custody by dirt cloud really in a convenient way also. The constant telling the audience what the character is thinking always. Like the dialog either explains what we already know and the need for characters to say nothing to back up their claims and beliefs. Nope pointless action scenes are constant thrown in these shows except andor and rogue one. Which are the closest to star wars shows we've had besides the clone wars etc. I know people want to enjoy a show I get that but like it gets to the point of just dangling keys in front of our faces and saying remember star wars. Also stones catche fire? And somehow kills everyone like really. And instead of the twins running away from the place and maybe staring at the destruction or something maybe even have some character development nope we are going to argue from right on a catwalk that is collapsing really.the jedi master mind you could have used the force like we have seen. Also how is it that a girl could kill a jedi freaking master with stupid parlor tricks are you kidding me. Also when they came to arrest her in episode 1. I'm like how did she travel all the way across the edge of the galaxy to kill a jedi master "last night" then somehow teleport back to her job as a mechanic. Make it make sense. Cmon man if you think that ohh they will explain. they won't. They make jedi weak and just stupid even though there supposedly powerful. It took the clone wars to kill jedi effectively and now it takes some girl with knifes against a lightsaber. Also you can die from a knife attack but not a lightsaber to the body. Really
This episode had some flaws (chant was cringe, “what have you done?” X3) but unlike BOBF and Kenobi at least this show has me engaged in the larger mystery (who is the master / what really happened on Brendok?) rather than being key jangling cameo slop. I like that we’re also seeing new scenarios like what happens if parents don’t want their kids to go with the Jedi. I’m withholding judgement until I see where the show lands with all this. It’s no Andor, but it’s too early to tell if it’s a flop imo. Star Wars has always had some cringe next to the good stuff, so we gotta see if the payoff is good
People yelling about how this somehow invalidates anakin: it doesn’t. Anakin was created by The Force itself as a response to Plagueis/Sideous trying to dominate with the dark side. A human using a technique we don’t even have the details for yet to create life is not the same as immaculate conception by the religious force of this universe. Also maybe this tale tells us why the Jedi refused to train a 9 year old in 100 years, I dunno that Osha being 8 breaks stuff yet. Only thing that Disney made that invalidates Anakin is the garbage fire that was “somehow palpatine returned / Rey skywalker”
Dude I’m obsessed with Star Wars idk what you’re on about 😂 I’ve watched all the shows but some recent ones have been solid (Bad Batch S2/3, Andor, Tales of the Jedi Dooku arc) and others have been kinda mid. So I’m just cautiously optimistic bc I’ve been burned by shows I was hyped for that ended up feeling kinda empty (Ahsoka, Kenobi). I really hope the Acolyte delivers a solid payoff!
Also to be clear: I’ve seen all the movies too not just the shows and read a fair number of books (including some legends). What gave you the impression that I hate Star Wars?
Glad other people are enjoying the show as much as I am. Really excited where the mystery goes from here. Obviously there’s more too it from what we saw, will be interesting to see Mae’s pov.
Thanks Guys! I am intriqued and this show sparks many discussions. I know there are some people who are just not enjoying it. But I am liking it all and eager to see how the show progresses and ee get more answers.
I'm pretty sure QIMIR is the Sith lord and the one orchestrating everything. He will learn the secret to creating life from Mae and he will teach everything he knows to Plagueis unless QIMIR actually is Plagueis. Either way, I'm pretty sure he's the Sith Lord.
My theory is that Sol is a Sith Lord in disguise. He made a pact with Mother Aniseya to create powerful twins. He led the Jedi to Bendack to recruit kids that normally would be too old. He caused Korli and the witches and Jedi to turn against one another. He knew Mae had started the fire. How? Because he used mind trick on Mae. He killed all the witches and blamed Mae. He then manipulated Osha so she trusts him (like Palp and Anakin), and controls Mae as her Master to kill Jedi in the present. Who deleted the fact that Osha had a sister from her file? The show started with “your eyes can deceive you.” Sol is not who he pretends to be.
Yet again, youtube comments are better stories than what lucasfilm is putting out. Disney would never turn the main char a "bad guy". I mean, they can't even have the "bad guys" be bad guys (see Reva). Everyone's gotta be good. I like your theory, I just can't imagine in a million years for the show to go down that route. Way too convoluted, good and out of the box for what they're putting out.
@@FiuzA2k I disagree that there’s no nuance in SW. To me, the Jedi are evil kidnapping monks, who killed with impunity and even abandoned their own kids when Palpatine took over. In Clone Wars, we saw the Separatists’ perspective about the so called “good” Jedi. So no, the good guys are shown to be evil too. Here, I just noticed Sol lied about how he met Osha. He told his Padawan he was stationed on Brendack. He wasn’t, he convinced other Jedi to go to this empty planet to retrieve 8 yo kids already attached to their family. Why wasn’t he interested in Mae at all when she seems more powerful with the Force? How could Indara think that separating 8 year-old twins would be a good thing and that they should train Osha with the Force at all?
@@kungolaf4499 I do think a Sith was involved in the creation of two powerful Force using twins - otherwise all witches would have done it and it wouldn’t take Plagues and Palpatine decades to figure it out. Who is Mae’s Master? Why kill a Jedi that hasn’t spoken in 10 years or a Wookie that’s turned into a hermit? That seems a useless plan for a Sith. That’s why I think it’s someone who is trying to hide the truth, and Sol seems the obvious character. But it’s only a theory. I also like the fact that it could be Mother Koril who killed everyone to control the twins.
@@Secretsongs20 I think you misunderstood -- I was talking about shows approach post Mandalorian (the 1st live action) came out. I wasn't very clear but that's what I meant by "Disney". Fair. I enjoyed the episode but I can see why some people wouldn't. Mostly I am curious what the "real story" is; it doesn't seem like the fire Mae started could have killed everyone, but whether it was the Jedi as a monolith or someone specific pitting the Jedi against the Witches, I don't know.
Wild theory here: What if that tree is the source of their birth and where they are reborn, and why the Jedi should never find out about their origin? Would explain how Mae survived that fall. They're drawn to the tree, the mother pulled magick from it, and got her partner pregnant. Wonder if Mae just woke up there after being reborn from it?
I’m still trying to figure out all the threads saying the force will change forever. This is all prospective from a random cult so how was it a definite change to “canon” like was being spouted nonstop?

What isn't ok is being hateful towards the guys and other members of the community. Calling people braindead, shills etc for liking something you don't is not criticism, it's just hurtful.
@@katieee1203 Well I can confidently say that I am neither blind nor ignorant. The simple fact that the comments sections is loaded with comments regarding previous comments being deleted can’t go unnoticed. The fact that you got so defensive over my comment signals smoke as well. No one said that they can’t enjoy something. I was simple stating that fact that in other reactions they had no problem providing critiques and negative opinions. But I, along with a great number of other people apparently, have noticed a trend in which they take a special exception to a certain intellectual property. So I guess I shall ask you the same question: Are you blind or just ignorant? Btw: I’m not here to defend the people that called them names or brought unnecessary negativity. I made my original post on the idea that an unnecessary level of censorship isn’t required in a comment section of an obscure RUclips video. But, do you I guess.

Thankfully you're reasonable and don't have an irrational hate boner for the show like 99% of Reddit and Twitter do rn. I really don't understand the hate behind this show. Is it spectacular? No. Is it downright as horrendous as people make it out to be? Absolutely not. I for one am happy to be taking a step back from the Galactic Civil War and am enjoying seeing the Jedi at their prime.
Pointed out that in the circle of the mark is the yin and Yang symbol. Jedi acknowledged the need for balance in the force but their attitude was to destroy what they perceived to be darkness. By doing that they in fact caused the vitriol of those forces. By their actions they lost the balance of the force which is why we here that Anakin could restore it. Hence we saw the broken statue of the sister on Ashoka. Really interesting stuff.
They're doing a good job at keeping the mystery. Gonna be real interesting to see what actually happened since we only get this "from a certain point of view".
That katiee mod on this channel is also doing a good job keeping the mystery by deleting negative comments and not allowing fans to express themselves 😅
Y’all getting it mixed up in the comments. Anakin was born via the will of the force itself, the witches used the force on themselves(or dark magic, like the night sisters) to influence the creation of the twins. Two completely different things.
So the jedi heard there were "chosen one" fatherless force users, to them thats a prophecy fulfilled? Problem is they are witches and have personal connections like Anakin did. So to solve that problem they just kill everyone that Osha cares about... no more personal feelings to get in the way. They thought it was the right thing to do because they think Osha is some kind of chosen one? Idk just theorizing. At the moment it feels like the show doesn't make much sense with current cannon/lore, but future episodes could explain more I suppose.
But the thing is that these children weren't "fatherless" the same way Anakin was. The twins were proactively created by this Mother Aniseya, through some kind of maigcks or something similar to Sith Alchemy or the same way of manipulating the Force that Plagueis was doing and planted in Mother Koril's womb. Basically a force-driven artifical insemination. Whereas Anakin, for all we know, was not just created with the Force, but BY the Force. Anakin is a direct result of the Will of the Force and it's strive for balance. Which is also why i don't understand all the haters thinking that these twins take away from Anakin and his birth being special.
@@shadowcat1606 but do the Jedi know that? They were told by these witches that they are fatherless. The council didn't want to bring on Anakin because he was too old and had attachments. So what's up with these girls, why would the Jedi ever take them in? Are the girls just an excuse to murder the witches? Also I don't blame anyone for being mad at what Disney has done to the skywalker saga.
@@ryanc675 Were they even told they were fatherless? Not sure. For all we know, the Jedi know nothing about the actual circumstances of the twins' birth and are really just there because a) it's their right to test force-sensitive children, b) the witches are seen as a Dark Side Cult that c) trains children outside of what Republic Laws allow. Plus, yes, the children are about as old as Anakin. But we also know that the Jedi of the High Republic are a lot more open in their interpretation of the Jedi Code and they are nowhere near as dogmatic as the Jedi of the Republic's twighlight years. And also, yeah. as i said, so far we don't really know why the Jedi sought the witches out. 4 Jedi to pick up two girls? There's definitely more to this than we know so far. Although i don't think that the girls are just an excuse, i do get the feeling that Indara would definitely have been happy to have a reason to take them down. We'll see as the series progresses.
I f'n LOVE, and I say this wholeheartedly, how Eric doesn't really critique Star Wars. Whenever something comes out, no matter how controversial to the lore, he just absorbs it, contextualizes it with comments about previous Star Wars installments, and adds it to his knowledge. Cause it's HIS story, HIS franchise. I'm the same way with Doctor Who. No matter how different, or sometimes even BAD, I'll always find a way to fit it into my headcanon. Cause it's my baby. I just love seeing him and other members of the Wave Crew have that same bias for a franchise that I do. Your favorite franchise isn't a sacred text, it's an evolving text.
So Mae tried to kill Osha but how would she destroy the whole place? Plus the injuries on the Jedi. Considering the revelation about how Mother Anisheya used the Force to make Mother Koril pregnant with the twins i suspect some Sith fuckery happened in the place to pit the Jedi against the Witches coven. Hence why Torbin felt so guilty that he killed himself and Kelnacca became a hermit. Let's not forget according to Sidious, Darth Plagueis knew how to use the Force to create life. So maybe he learned from the Witches or they learned from him. Guess we will have another flashback. Perhaps showing things from Sol's point of view or Mae's or maybe even from the Sith's.
When I was a kid, I thought lightsabers had biometric scanners, or pressure sensors which would deactivate a lightsaber when it was dropped. How else would Ben's lightsaber fall to the floor, deactivated?
Wow, Episode 3 man! That hit me in the feels! We still haven't seen the entire story here, I'm fairly sure the Jedi had something to do with how things went down that night and they covered it up. Lee Jung Jae's performance in Acolyte is amazing. As I said I continue to be in awe of it. What an actor man! The fact that the he knew next to no English before taking on this role is wild! Honestly at the end of this Sol could be one of my favourite Star wars characters ever!
People are just DUMB. The more new Star Wars shows come out, multiply their hate does. They want Star Wars to stop, which is exactly what it did after ROTS, and we had the dark times.
I love how you can see from both points of view why the witches and the Jedi are so wary of watch other. The witches: because they just want to live their lives away from the High Republic and the Jedi. And the Jedi: because they are worried about both the threat of dark force wielders and for the safety and well being of the twins.
i think the trailers revealed what happened to torbin"s eye. not gonna say it here but im very interested to see how the conflict between the jedi and witches escalated so quickly.
I never liked Star Wars, even less the fans of that saga, they tend to be very insistent. But I come to RUclips to entertain myself and this is very entertaining, you can see who are true fans of this saga. At the beginning of the video, he is distant, his mouth shows discomfort, and as the episode goes by, his face loses its shine. 18:20 thousand yard stare.
My latest theory: Aniseya was telling the truth, but lying by omission. Mae and Osha have no father because they’re both clones of her. Magically made rather than scientifically, but still clones. Compared to Anakin, who got a Y chromosome from the Force somehow.
It wouldn't make any sense anyways because they're clearly mixed race. If they're gonna go that route, at least have Aniseya be lightskinned or Osha/Mae be black.
Nah there plenty of others. The algorithm feeds you what you search, so if you're on the "anti-woke" side of youtube, or hating Disney and Star Wars side of RUclips, that's all you'll get. Likewise, the opposite is true.

My theory is when the jedi came to pick up oasha Mother Koril attacked the jedi who then killed all the whiches the sith will be demasked to be Koril she will reavel that she barely survived after sol killed "mama" and that is going to turn oasha to the dark side and she will have to fight sol they said this show was going to be from the perspective of the bad side and so far it's oashas story so I'm calling her turn to the dark because sol killed "mama" and lied about it
@@TessaxMusic95 It would have been obvious if they meant for us to see her. The fact that it wasn't tells me it's deliberate that we don't see her.
@@edwardmccoy490I like that theory but I don’t think Sol killed her, maybe one of the others did. And I don’t see Osha going to the dark side, the whole point of this story is one twin represents the light and the other represents the dark, to have both go dark would ruin the story
I think it's really telling of the Jedi way of seeing things that we see Sol, arguably the one who embodies the ideals of the Jedi the best in the show, say, "the Jedi saw how special I was." Despite his idealism and humility, Sol still sees himself, and by extension the Jedi, as something more than others
yhh also he says the jedi don’t take children but they still show up and give children an offer they can’t rlly refuse, which then kinda guilt trips the parents into letting them go, it’s still pretty shady imo, even if he genuinely does want the best for the kids and believes that there’s more of a choice than there actually is

@CantstopMe-bg9neuh, you lost?

First thing I thought of is they are Singing Mountain Clan witches from Dathomir, you would see these force witches in the mountain on Dathomir in the old Star Wars MMO, Star Wars Galaxies
There are people saying that this chapter takes away Anakin's Specialness, but NO, Osha and Mae were made voluntarily by Someone through the force without a very broad purpose, Anakin was created by The Force itself, as an attempt to bring balance, In both there is no father, but in different ways, by different forces, with different potentials and for different purposes, Osha and Mae do not take away what is special from Anakin
What made Anakin special is his actions and his potential, not how he was created.

Very good theory. I'm all in. Sol definitely does not know what actually happened there.
@chrisf5828 Good theory. We just need much more information and they never tell us everything we want to know one episode. Whatever answers we get, they give us several more questions!

One of the greatest contributions from the Clone Wars/Rebels era is showing that the Jedi/Sith divide is just one perspective on the Force. Just like in real life a hundred pairs of eyes can look at the same universe and see a hundred different things.

@@RandomFlask175 when the main criticism is "woke blah blah blah lesbians blah blah black blah asian blah" i dont care about it
That's not how it is nor how the Jedi and Sith are portrayed.
Out of curiosity, what are you confused about? What do you find nonsensical?
I don't understand whats confusing or strabge either. It's a very strsightforward episode.
I agree but these two in this comment section are shilling or incompetent
@@jedi-commanderx9337 maybe you can help us understand where you found the episode confusing or nonsensical...
Really
I hope that the sith that we've seen is actually an apprentice of tenebrous or plagueis that is looking for his own apprentice to take on his master.
I would like them to analyse this show like they do with non-star wars shows.
For real

28:32 Osha actually DOES leave the jedi order eventually
I'm pretty sure QIMIR is the Sith lord and the one orchestrating everything. He will learn the secret to creating life from Mae and he will teach everything he knows to Plagueis unless QIMIR actually is Plagueis. Either way, I'm pretty sure he's the Sith Lord.
That’s what I’ve been thinking
Did someone really use a trailer shot from a future episode to give a spoiler in a poll answer? What's wrong with people?
I feel like this would be way too contrived. Just because a twist is surprising doesn’t mean it will serve the story or the character.
I don’t think she was trying to kill her or anyone. Something happened to/with Mae outside the door.
When I was a kid, I thought lightsabers had biometric scanners, or pressure sensors which would deactivate a lightsaber when it was dropped. How else would Ben's lightsaber fall to the floor, deactivated?
Or Qui- Gon"s
@@daurydavis3983 Exactly.
Some have killswitches in them to turn off when dropped, but some don't lol
Wow, Episode 3 man! That hit me in the feels! We still haven't seen the entire story here, I'm fairly sure the Jedi had something to do with how things went down that night and they covered it up.
Lee Jung Jae's performance in Acolyte is amazing. As I said I continue to be in awe of it. What an actor man!
The fact that the he knew next to no English before taking on this role is wild! Honestly at the end of this Sol could be one of my favourite Star wars characters ever!
This is the last reaction I was waiting to watch before I fall asleep :) Perfect timing
The discourse of this episode and the show in general is crazy. I got hated on just for saying I enjoy it
It's wild but still preach about what you enjoy, don't let the haters get you down ❤
People are just DUMB. The more new Star Wars shows come out, multiply their hate does.
They want Star Wars to stop, which is exactly what it did after ROTS, and we had the dark times.
Enjoy what you want. But this is just garbage writing.
@@crimsonjedi Womp womp
@@crimsonjedi No, it's not.
I like Aaron's point about the how the girl take after the mothers.
You only need to look at them to know they aren't clones of her
It wouldn't make any sense anyways because they're clearly mixed race. If they're gonna go that route, at least have Aniseya be lightskinned or Osha/Mae be black.
@@NoCluYT Maybe they have a bit of Koril’s DNA since she’s the one who had to carry them.
Sorry, Eric...Indara says "unidentified Force user", not "unregistered". She's literally just saying she doesnt know who it is.
And Sidious using the blue cauldron is a good take too
And the balance talk
Is it me or is this the only RUclips Star Wars channel or reaction channel that is actually liking the Acolyte show? I’m just curious
Nah there plenty of others. The algorithm feeds you what you search, so if you're on the "anti-woke" side of youtube, or hating Disney and Star Wars side of RUclips, that's all you'll get. Likewise, the opposite is true.
@@lespaul5734 I mean I guess I just prefer a show with good writing. Lately Star Wars shows haven’t been hitting the same cuz of lack of good writing. But hey thats just me
@@nickguzman424 There are definitely some odd and/or unnatural writing choices. Whether that's a failure of writing or due to a missing story or perspective piece is sometimes hard to tell (especially for Ep. 3) but the show has its flaws. Whether one likes it or not
@@lespaul5734 this show cost double of what the obi wan show did, wtf did they do with that money lmao.
23:14 The Normies actually may have called this, they wondered if Palp’s cauldron magic was somehow related to Nightsister magick. At the time I shrugged it off bc Pablo Hidalgo said it was Sith alchemy, but now this makes me really wonder…
nightsister magick is green, we haven't seen any green auras yet.
