Magnus has always thought he was Too much for people and doesn’t want to burden them and the fact that he actually started to beg Alec to just stay with him 🥹. He even said to Maryse ‘ I don’t know what I’d do with him’ it’s soo bittersweet because Alec is doing what he thinks is best because I think he’s always had that thought in the back of his head that he while magnus is his love ], that he wasn’t as special to him so he’s just like he’s gonna be okay but little does he know and with magnus has now has had two breakdowns over not having his magic and Alec thinks what asmodeus is true, he fine right now but even magnus said he’s never gonna be happy again without his magic and then threw out that quit of I’m mundane just like you wanted so it’s not a real stretch to assume that what asmodeus is saying is gonna come true, I think alec trying to be cold and not make eye contact is for both of their sake’s because if alec actually makes full on eye contact he’s not gonna be able to do it and I think magnus will automatically know something is up, It’s also just so sad because now in Magnus’s eyes he’s lost everything, literally everything. His title, his home and now Alec, he has no idea. Watch out for asmodeus the next episode, he’s now topside and knows that magnus is vulnerable and is gonna be heartbroken…..remember the past times he’s talked about his father……all I’m gonna say 😬as for the next episode, it’s named Aku Cinta Kamu which is Indonesian for “I Love You” so it’s all down hill from here lol sorry 🙃

Okay yeah, this episode is RIDICULOUSLY painful. But you have to hand it to their acting, it was incredible. My formatting will continue to be off for these next few days because again, I don't have access to my computer while I'm in Spain. So here we go! 1.) This is kind of a random fact, but in the books, Asmodeus actually doesn't look fully human. His skin is very pale, he doesn't have hair, just vines of thorns coming from his head, and his eyes are cat eyes. I assumed they casted Jack because of his resemblance to Harry (in the sense that they both have similar expressions, and stockier builds), but in the books, Magnus actually looked very similar to his mom, instead of Asmodeus. The only main characteristic they share is their eyes,.which in the show, they both have glamoured (something not in common with the books). 2.) Simon says all Warlocks have an animal feature as a mark, that's not necessarily true. Ragnor's green skin, and Cat and Max's blue skin are not features of an animal. Neither are the purple eyes Malcom had, and the blue hair two other warlocks had in the books. It just so happens that the most common marks are animal marks. Wings, animal eyes, animal ears, and horns all are shared with animals. Also, no warlock has to have ONE mark. They can have several. The most we know a warlock having is four. Ragnor has green skin, white hair, an extra set of knuckles, and white horns. Cat has two, Max has three, and Magnus has two (in the books he has cat eyes, and he doesn't have a belly button). Very few characters have just one, but an example is a warlock named Hypatia Vex, who has stars for pupils. 3.) Writing this knowing you've seen 3x20... In the books, this second break up never happens. Magnus and Alec broke up once. At the epilogue of the fifth book, and they got back together at the end of the sixth, after a confrontation with Asmodeus. They lived a happy life together from then on. 4.) The song that plays in the background of the break up is Fear of the Water by Syml 5.) Maia said Jorda could be her bata because that's what Simon called the second in command post back in season 2 (or maybe 3a, I can't remember). 6.) This episode got me down on my knees. Before I talk about this episode, I have to say that this episode was supposed to be released around Halloween, hence it is Halloween themed, but the show's cancellation back in June of 2018 pushed back the episode's airing to April of 2019. As for the episode, I love that they bring in Becky back and we got to see some cute Lewis moments and Becky meeting Izzy for the first time and immediately see the chemistry between the two. I love Jack Yang acting for Asdomeous here! This episode is so cruel for Malec's storyline. Every time I rewatch this episode, I notice more details which makes me sob harder! Also, EVIL CLARY! Woohoo! Luke and Maryse's relationship is happening! "Everyone is so happy and go lucky... makes me sick" lol don't worry they won't be happy for long 😭 Alec's change of heart of immortality pains me here because in 3x05 he didn't like the thought of Magnus forgetting him and moving on while here he cares for Magnus so much that he wants for Magnus to move on and recover 😪 Fact: The Dervick Queen in the scene where Alec and Jace was attacking it was actually a stunt guy wearing a black bodysuit with a stick ontop of his head with a tennis ball on it wiggling around. It was hard to film because it was hard to be serious and Dom kept looking at the wrong face (he looked at the stunt guy's face instead of the tennis ball). I think the spark that Magnus has will never go out and even if it does, I am pretty sure that Alec wouldn't care. The breakup scene is so painful. Sometimes I wish we can go back to the alternate episode in 1x10, so we can take a break from all this saddness.
this episode truly was just pain. the whole breakup and knowing it was coming and not wanting to come- ugh, I understand totally why Alec did it- but the whole situation is just bad all around. omg, I love the fact of them having trouble shooting that scene, so funny 🤣

YESSSSS. A friend of my recommended me those books and it was the best thing I've read in the year. Before watching the tv show we read SoC, CK and S&B, then we watched S1 and read S&S, R&R and KoS, finally we watched S2 and read RoW (and died a little everytime Nina brought her memories in Ketterdam with the crows). They put everything into that performance, into the whole episode honestly, and I just thank them for that. The pain throughout the whole thing, but in that last scene especially, just feels so real. They don't even have to say anything, barely do anything, you can just feel the sadness radiating off them. I have lots to say about this ep, oh this ep hurts so much though malec is the best ship on the show the writers put them through it let’s get clary & them out of the way first, of course everyone was too happy thinking we could get the rune off clary just that easily, also izzy making the formula and stuff she’s such a smart queen love that but of course eventually jonathan would get to clary before they could stop it why would anything be easy for us, though kat looks hot with the demon eyes ngl 👀 guess she’s in her dark era now seeing magnus and maryse be friendly and gossip and be so happy together and seeing magnus learn from her was so great to see considering where they started in s1 I adore them also the way magnus talked about “I don’t know what I would do without your son” oh no 🙃 becky and simon / sizzy were the best part of this ep!!! okay, I for sure see where you're coming from, and you guessed it, as much as it pains me that this happened, I still fully support all of Alec's rights and wrongs, the love is strong 🤣 hear me out though because I also love Magnus and he didn't deserve this of course! buttttttttt- we have multiple times where magnus tells Alec that magic basically means everything to him- in the hospital, Alec literally asks if it's worth dying for, basically has to ask him twice because the silence says everything and then he says maybe. then we have the failed proposal where he is very upset regarding the loss of magic, understandably of course, but he snaps at Alec when he says he only ever wanted him to be happy and says he just wants to help, of course magnus is like you can't, there's nothing you can do. we find out later that magnus doesn't want to be a burden, which I get, but also, in Alec's eyes the person he loves has basically said that he would rather not be here without magic and that there's nothing that he can do to make it better or help at all. also Alec knows if he went to magnus, magnus would tell him not to do it right? but Alec now knows magnus is in immense pain without his magic, to me, it makes sense he would literally do anything to get magnus his magic back in order to keep him alive and happy, with or without Alec. that's my feelings on the matter anyone. plus, we all know I'm biased, buttttt

Alec's change of heart of immortality pains me here because in 3x05 he didn't like the thought of Magnus forgetting him and moving on while here he cares for Magnus so much that he wants for Magnus to move on and recover 😪
Fact: The Dervick Queen in the scene where Alec and Jace was attacking it was actually a stunt guy wearing a black bodysuit with a stick ontop of his head with a tennis ball on it wiggling around. It was hard to film because it was hard to be serious and Dom kept looking at the wrong face (he looked at the stunt guy's face instead of the tennis ball).
I think the spark that Magnus has will never go out and even if it does, I am pretty sure that Alec wouldn't care. The breakup scene is so painful.
Sometimes I wish we can go back to the alternate episode in 1x10, so we can take a break from all this saddness.
this episode truly was just pain. the whole breakup and knowing it was coming and not wanting to come- ugh, I understand totally why Alec did it- but the whole situation is just bad all around.

I totally understand you, I also get really attached and it's usually with the secondary couple both in shows and books. It happened to me with Wesper, before it happened to me with Malec, and even before that with Klaine. That's why I'm so worried that in S&B with Wesper being now a couple-they might have them break up a couple of times and I'm not ready for that. Where does the obsession with 2nd breakups come from? 2. HAVE I READ SoC AND CK??? YESSSSS. A friend of my recommended me those books and it was the best thing I've read in the year. Before watching the tv show we read SoC, CK and S&B, then we watched S1 and read S&S, R&R and KoS, finally we watched S2 and read RoW (and died a little everytime Nina brought her memories in Ketterdam with the crows). So yes. I'm so worry for Wesper because them as a couple now implies to breaking points into their relationship: the Van Eck reveal AND the Kuwei kiss :)))) It's gonna be FUN

First of all! Clary o.o. Evil Clary era is upon us 👀. Poor Jace though, emotionally but also because she knocked him out xD. And uh oh, she broke Jonathan out. Honestly like, we didn't want the Seelie to kill him and Clary, buuuut xd.
Also, Jace and Alec fight!! As in fighting together lol!! We LOVE us some good parabatai fighting
Lastly, I just HAVE to talk about the acting. Oh my gosh. Everyone was great, of course, but I just. Harry Shum Jr and Matthew Daddario. We do not DESERVE them. They put everything into that performance, into the whole episode honestly, and I just thank them for that. The pain throughout the whole thing, but in that last scene especially, just feels so real. They don't even have to say anything, barely do anything, you can just feel the sadness radiating off them. Like Alec, during the breakup, trying to pull back and hide it from Magnus but just so, so distraught. Oh my gosh, I can't, they're just amazing

to this hardest part of this ep, malec hurt me so bad this episode I mean so bad 😭💔 I know you as an alec stan are gonna hate this but I really was upset alec didn’t consult magnus at all and just talk to magnus about what happened the night before and what to do but instead went behind his back, we need better communication yall, I can’t support alec with this, magnus would not want this at all, he loves alec so so much, like this ep is probably the only time I was mad at alec (yes I know I’m in the minority don’t kill me alec stans😭), I know this hurts him a lot too but all of this could’ve been avoided if alec had talked to magnus and the ending scene man I teared up but I held in the tears this time I debated skipping it but I had to see your reaction, I can’t believe alec said those things to magnus, knowing how small and useless he feels without his magic and how low his self esteem is rn, magnus’s reaction hurts he deserves the world, and I think with alec by his side he could’ve made it through without his magic. magnus saying he basically has lost everything and seeing him beg alec to stay crushed my heart he didn’t deserve this.

hear me out though because I also love Magnus and he didn't deserve this of course! buttttttttt- we have multiple times where magnus tells Alec that magic basically means everything to him- in the hospital, Alec literally asks if it's worth dying for, basically has to ask him twice because the silence says everything and then he says maybe. then we have the failed proposal where he is very upset regarding the loss of magic, understandably of course, but he snaps at Alec when he says he only ever wanted him to be happy and says he just wants to help, of course magnus is like you can't, there's nothing you can do. we find out later that magnus doesn't want to be a burden, which I get, but also, in Alec's eyes the person he loves has basically said that he would rather not be here without magic and that there's nothing that he can do to make it better or help at all.
also Alec knows if he went to magnus, magnus would tell him not to do it right? but Alec now knows magnus is in immense pain without his magic, to me, it makes sense he would literally do anything to get magnus his magic back in order to keep him alive and happy, with or without Alec. that's my feelings on the matter anyone. plus, we all know I'm biased, buttttt
