    Hello, my son just bought this hot tub for me as a gift. I wanted to know if you should keep it plugged into to heat 24/7 or how does that work? Thanks!

    • @elitesportsmedia
      @elitesportsmedia  3 года назад +11

      Yeah if you wanna get in it daily , it takes like 20hrs to go from hose water to 104 degrees. I usually turn the heat on the night before I get in and by noon the next day it’s hot… I haven’t noticed any kind of increase in the electric bill and I did have it on 24/7 for the first couple weeks, but didn’t use it daily and felt that hot water was going to waste . Make sure you add plenty of chemicals hot water gets dirty fast

    • @elitesportsmedia
      @elitesportsmedia  2 года назад

      Sometimes it confuses the built in electronics and it thinks the filters are blocked. So I would remove the filters and try to reset it and the plug, if it runs just put the filters back on. You can also try disconnecting the hoses on the out side and try to run it hose by hose, if it runs just connect it back. It has to be something simple, might just need to reset the breaker that goes to that hot tub. This is we’re I would start, then can move on to a few electrical things

    • @elitesportsmedia
      @elitesportsmedia  3 года назад +5

      Wow yellowush green after 1 night, I mean maybe you had some build up in your hose but usually that comes out first. If it’s still yellow I would drain it and start over. I did notice one time I used a certain shock and it turned the water a little yellow I try just sticking to chlorine tabs. You don’t wanna over do the chemicals in such a small tub and I know you said yours was a 6, I wish I could tell you more but I honestly would drain it and try again with maybe not using that shock maybe it was a bad shock. Sorry couldn’t be more help but haven’t had that issue

      @@elitesportsmedia I personally would not be inclined to do a Shock immediately. Wait a day or two with the heater and bubbles on and test the water, IMO. 🤔

      @@sevenwonders1717 it didn't matter. A few days after this post I got the E90 error code on the pump and the water was leaking out 😢 I sent it back and luckily got a full refund. Going to save up and buy a real hot tub eventually, it's going to take a while but it's better than the alternative of getting that code and not being able to return it and get a refund. I miss it so much already 💔

    Did you get an “E-90” warning message after pressing the 🔥 button?
    I don’t have anything obstructing the outlet grid, and also didn’t have water filled up to the line either. Will this message disappear once water has risen to a higher level?
    Thanks

      No it’s a clogged filter, the air is not flowing properly, might try new filters ot if worse comes to worse opening your unit to check connections

      @@elitesportsmedia I filled the water up so it would be higher than the filter and that did the trick
      You can’t heat the hot tub if there is no water to pull in. Thanks for responding
