Suga had the hardest pre-debut life out of all the members. He started writing lyrics at 13 and learned MIDI at the same age. His first love is his piano or music in general (He made a song about his piano entitled "First Love") His parents didn't support his passion for music. They would even throw his lyrics to discourage him but Suga would sneakily continue to do it. Suga went to Seoul to pursue his music. His parents couldn't support him in his studies for they were poor that's why Suga worked part time as well while maintaining going to school and practicing as a trainee at night. He struggled at finance and admitted that before he would have to choose between buying noodles or using his money for transportation. He also used to do gigs and perform in front of two people. One of his part time is that delivery job where he got into an accident and his shoulder was shattered. What made it more painful is that Suga didn't tell anyone about his shoulder accident. Even the company and the members. He told the member he just fell down the stairs. He was afraid he was going to be kicked out from the company so he didn't tell anyone. That is why, Suga's shoulder didn't heal right. Eventually, the company found out about this injury and paid his college tuition and hospital fees. Suga told the truth to the members, I think it was around 2015 or 2016 on Burn the stage series. It is also where he recalled that the last thing he remembered before the accident was the "wheel" in front of him. (He's been suffering for almost a decade.. 8 years because of that injury. It even came to a point that it has become a hindrance to his everyday life. He once said in an interview that when he tried to lift a 50ml, his shoulder hurt. ) Suga undergoing surgery last month is his decision because he want to be able to continuously perform on stage. BTS dance choreographies are no joke. I think it is part of the reason why his shoulder worsened. Suga is really good at hiding his pain. One interview, I remember RM said that he used to be sad because Suga don't say anything about himself (doesn't talk much) but he's glad that recently Suga has been opening up to them little by little. Yes, that's the theory. Either suicide or self-harm. SUGA never confirmed it, but personally I think that's it. And "trying to sleep on the bathroom floor" could refer to a suicide attempt
Hi guys. Agust D speaks to my core. He’s my bias for innumerable reasons. You ask why it’s called “The Last”? I don’t have the definitive answer, but based on the stories that I’ve read about, I think it means it’s the last that he’s going to address the issues about his mental state and that it will never have to be something Armies will have to worry about him for . . . he’s made his peace with it. Take care.
I remember in a live video when Suga mentioned his shoulder injury. He told us that car threw him off his bike,.And he saw the car wheel passing close to his face . he was fine but his shoulder was damaged. This accident was in 2012, when he was a traineer before bts debut. THE SONG MENTIONS IT: "My shoulder which shattered thanks to the accident I met during my part time job". Well. Last year he suffered a tear in the same shoulder, too. But he was trying to follow up with physical therapy and injections, but at the beginning of this year, in November, he suffered another tear. He went to consult to 4 hospitals and over 3, they said he should have surgery. That is the reason he didn´t attend MMA2020 and MAMA2020 award shows. BTS got 9 prizes, And in the prize, the "Best album of the year", Jimin called Suga by cell and he gave an amazing speech that night. On the other hand, for the song "live goes on" live performance, appeared a Suga hologram. For me, it was the most exciting moment of the show!!!!! from Argentina. (please, react to the Suga fav song, ¨Telepathy´ in the last BTS album BE)
Suga just rips his heart out when he writes lyrics. From what I understand, there's even more stigma talking about mental health issues in Korea than there is in the US, but Suga has always been brave. This track was released 4 years ago, and it seems like he has gotten past the depression, but he still talks about anxiety sometimes. On his D-2 mixtape released early this year, he has a song called Honsool, which translates to Drinking Alone, where he talks about going home after work and drinking to get rid of the anxiety and relax. D-2 is still my favorite thing to listen to this year, even more than MotS7 and Be.
That part where it went "Bleeepp" it's a taboo. A taboo is an implicit prohibition on something based on a cultural sense that it is excessively repulsive or, perhaps, too sacred for ordinary people. Such prohibitions are present in virtually all societies. The doctor was asking Yoongi if he's ever attempted to do su1c1de. We can't hear it bc those type of stuff if their not blurred some pple lost their career cause of it. Bc in Korea it's a strong and sensitive subject.
Agust D didn't lie. He didn't hide. I rarely listen to this song because how hurtfull it is. I got anxiety and I'm scared of people, so I understand him a little. The first part, where he 'surrender' to people's hatred and think that it was 'part of the job' is so fucked up. But that was a coping mentality there, reasoning on his mind as to why he got the hate. A lot of kpop artist feel this, especially when antifans are attacking them in personal level or obsessive fans followed them wherever they go. But on 2nd part, he said that he took different mentality that he is now above the hatred. The hate didn’t really affect him anymore because now he is focusing to people who loves him; his family, his hommies, his fans. And maybe, Love Yourself era did good for the boys because they was showed a path where they can see that they are deserves to be loved.
I don't know if anyone mentioned this (sorry, not gonna read every single comment), but I wanted to mention a couple of things that might not be very clear from the lyrics: 1) *Show Me The Money* is a Korean rap-competition show where some idol rappers and many up and coming underground rappers go to "prove themselves". Yoongi has mentioned before that he's above that BS and his songs is already proof enough that he's the best. He said that he never participated in that show only because he didn't want to, not because he couldn't (insinuating he has received an invitation before) 🙃 Now onto very depressing parts. 2) The beep was for the question therapist always asks you when you come with depression to them - if you have ever attempted suicide or self-harmed yourself. And the next line is Yoongi's reply 😔 3) The "those days when I *tried* to sleep on the bathroom floor" line is similar to a known poetic reference to dying (aka to fall asleep or to fall on the cold floor are both references to a person dying). He's either referencing once again metaphorically the "death" of Min Yoongi (as self-destruction) or referencing self-harm/suicide attempts made in the bathroom specifically. Considering the overall theme of depression and his line with the therapist previously, I'd bet on the latter. Especially since in Korean he very specifically mentioned that he "makes an attempt to sleep". Or perhaps even both as a triple entendre.
HIs song First Love has some of this depth of story to it as well, talking about the piano and his music and how he turned away from it at first but how comforting it was to him - I really think that by going through all of this his parents got to understand how important music is for him - at first they were not supportive of it at all due to the belief that it would be too hard to succeed and make a living at it but after all of this they became very supportive, even converting a space at their home into a bit of a small studio for him (nothing high end but still).... there is a concert they did where their families attended and he can be seen bowing down at the end of the concert when they were walking around waving at ARMY and he sees his family and bows to them in love and respect and breaks in to tears. So touching and heartfelt. Just one reason why people love BTS so much, they truly share themselves and their pain and love with us. Thanks for reacting!
People think that I’m 45 n I’m going crazy over cute boys, i mean that’s the icing on the cake, little they know the boys pick me up when life was hard even just to wake up is painful. I can’t say thank enough to Bangtan boys and they’ll always be part of my life from a distance as long as they allowing me too🙏💪🏼💜
When I heard that song my view of them, my view of yoongi, totally changed. It kinda made me realize that they're human, he's human. I mean I knew that of course but you mostly see them having fun, so seeing and hearing something like this is kinda eye-opening
I think a lot of people miss the lyric about him remembering 'trying to sleep on the bathroom floor'. This very much could allude to attempting suicide.
During the recent online interview with “pitchfork”, JK recalls having to sneak off during dance practice to the bathroom in order to grab some sleep, with the rest of the band nodding in recollection.
@@lollipop2900 while I see how that may connect, I don’t think that’s what he was talking about in this context. It may not be about suicide, but I definitely think he’s mentioning something or a feeling from before BTS. Most of the song is a before and after BTS. And just around this time he mentions his shoulder too. I definitely think he’s speaking on something more painful to him than remembering sneaking off to the bathrooms.
@@laravio yeah, I definitely agree that it could be anxiety-related. I definitely think it was a hint at his mental state in general, not something like just being physically tired.
Suga's "So far away" is also part of his first mixtape on 2016. For sure, you guys will like it as well. It features Suran, a well-known female artist in South Korea. It is really good 😭. You should check it out. Actually, let me take it back. You should react on his first whole mixtape. It is self-produced/written/composed. His first mixtape contains his beginnings, how he became a member of bts, his mental struggles.. His journey in general. It is very introspective and personal.
Probably in the "beep" part the psychiatrist asked him if he had attempted suicide or was suicidal and he said "yes" without any hesitation, this is also linked to the "i tried to sleep on the bathroom floor" part. Yoongi suffered a lot in his adolescence because his family was poor and they couldn't afford his music studies, so he used to do a part time job, that's when he got injured (he's now finally recovering, after almost a decade of pain). He said that he always had to choose between buying food and taking the bus because he didn't have enough money. I'm so happy that he has found happiness, he deserves it
yo, yoongi is such a good story teller. Like ugh, his words makes me cry everytime. And another thing is, even if you listen to it without lyrics, you still feel his emotions. His music is the proof, that we don't need to speak the same language to understand his emotions, to know what he is talking about. He puts his fucking heart into it and we embrace it with love and care and understanding. Everyone says Yoongi is quiet, but he is so loud in his songs. He share so many personal things with us though his music. And that's enough. He opens up to us, showing us his weak sides and his strong us. He completely give himself to people who are willing to hear his music and more importantly to people who are willing to listen. He step in front of us with heart on his hands sayin "This is me, Min Yoongi"
kmedia still do those sh*t things to BTS, 'til this day. Like, making false news (& then became scandal), deleting BTS chart in K-platform (just because other fandom were protesting why BTS always #1), etc etc etc. No one knows what kind of horrible things they should face excepts BTS itself. That's why ARMY is so protective, and sometime, over protective.
If you want to hear RM's and JHope's personal stories, just listen to their mixtape. RM has 2 (RM and Mono) and JHope's is Hope world. It's available for free on soundcloud.
I am always speechless after listening to this song. I am so happy you listened to it. There is a lot to unpack from this song. Suga has such as great way of writing songs. He breaks the mould of appearing as the "perfect" idol and several of his songs are about mental health and he draws on his own experiences as they are numerous. I read somewhere that it took Suga 2 to 3 days to record this song as it was so hard for him and he had to keep stopping. In regards to RM and Jhope, their mix tapes give you a bit of them. I will recommend Do you by RM and Aeroplane by Jhope. Thanks for a great video. Love you guys.
Suga has been writing songs since he was 13. But he mentions in the rap he was 18 when he had the worst time in his life. If you know his Story, he was recruited by big hit Cia in 2010. He had to make a hard decision to leave his family. I heard He started to study architecture before BTS and His family was very poor. They didn´t support him about his musical career, so he had to do a hard decision to leave Daegu (his city) and go to Seoul. (and hard for a korean Culture). He says in the rap "Min yoongi is already dead". (I killed himself). He had to work in Seoul when he was a traineer in Big Hit Cia to sustain. I know he didn´t appear in one concert in Japan because he suffered from panic or phofia. And he mentions in the rap his accident in 2012. "The shoulder that was crushed because of an accident during my delivery job".....HE HAD A SURGERY THE 11/3 THIS YEAR AFTER 8 YEARS OF PAIN IN HIS SHOULDER IN EACH PRACTICE AND IN EACH LIVE CONCERT. That is the reason he was not in the live performance in the MMA2020 and MAMA2010. Fortunately the situation with his parents changed after he saw them live at a concert. ruclips.net/video/eEVQYQP0MI8/видео.html from Buenos Aires.

Suga is my bias as well 😎 some other viewers wrote really detailed descriptions regarding his story behind these lyrics so I won’t bore you by repeating it. Looking forward to all your new videos and I hope you guys can get your old ones back!
In case you're wondering what the doctor asked him (it was covered by the beeping at 5:17), he asked him if he ever thought about committing suicide and suga replies without hesitating by saying he did. It was replaced by the beeping becuz in South Korea, speaking about suicide is not very acceptable- some even lost their jobs becuz of it.
he was living witha disrupted shoulder since 2012, his members came to know that in 2016 through this song. all that time only bang PD knew. in 2013 when they were filming american hussle life, jimin asked him to do bboying since he was a bboy prior to being a idol. he was goofing around and not doing it,nobody knew that he could'nt do it anymore. jimin himself realised that in 2016.
This song abaout Agust D life, Agust D past. Life story in the past, He born in a poor family, his parrents not support him, he become a rapper but no one bought his music. He also become a Delivery currier. And get an Accident at 2012 that make his shoulder get serious injury untill now. But he hide it from public.. On November 2020 he get a Shoulder surgery. He always struggle and compose music in pain. His life story was a great. From nobody to be legend

He just had surgery to fix the shoulder that was injured before they debuted, he's been dealing with shots and physical therapy on it for the past 8 years.
Damn how did i miss this. Now you see why people recommended this. I like to call this his self exorcism track... that how it sounds to me. Letting everything pour out.. so unbelievably brave. I would imagine it helped him a lot and also helped many other people dealing with the same type of struggle 💜
RM this a video called 1) DO YOU 2) JOKE address his hater to people said BTS wouldn't be successful. J-Hope just came out with his new album call "Jack in the Box" shows him more darker side. He did a live concert Pull up J-Hope performance at lollapalooza 7/2022 in Chicago this was his first time performance only. BTS are still together but they wanted to do solo album to show more sides and personalities of themselves. BTS has a certain standard they have to uphold but if they're doing individual albums they can sing and be anywhere they want to. BTS will be back in concert 10/2022
Thank you so much for the reactio . I believe this is the best song from Agust D. It's so deep and dark, but the lyric is so beautiful and strong. I love this song so much. Next, you might want to react ro his other song like 'Agust D' and 'First Love'
Aaaaaaaaaaa. Finallyyyy. Yeah, so now that you know what it's about and the fact that the song is kind of structured as a suicide note... I guess the meaning of the title could be last words...
When u said he went thru some shit and he was brave to put it out there, yes his goal is to make mental health or mental struggle will be talked about like its just a cold or a fever. That when u talk about it, u are not labelled, as weak like if ur physically unhealthy u wont be called weak the same way when ure mentally struggling (he mentioned that in a magazine interview recently). And Johnny, as i am also a survivor of depression like 4x already i could say yeah in a way many people go thru the same but not everyone even if they have a platform will talk about that and judging from my family, i think theres only 2 persons who struggled with depression and in some ways only a few has undergone what Suga has, except that there was no psychiatrist and i didnt have parents anymore when it happened. If u happened to know about Outro:Tear live, suga wrote that when they were about to disband on 2018, when he let the members hear it, everybody cried. Thats how amazing suga is in story telling, the emotions that he has when rapping, and the way he puts lyrics together can make u cry, sad, happy, glad, can inspire u in so many ways, as his studio says "Genius Lab", he produces songs already when he was like only 12-13 yrs old, he is definitely a musical genius. His mixtapes, even the recent D-2 still talks about his life's struggles. I hope u react to Outro:Tear live they performed it in ROSEBOWL, METLIFE, SOLDIERS FIELD STADIUMS IN THE U.S. last yr during their 2019 SOLD OUT world tour. If u ask me, he is the one out of all the members that went thru the most shit in life specially when they were all younger. RM & Jhope wasnt as poor as Suga was.
I like your reaction~! I would love to see your review on his recent mixtape, D-2. One thing, though, these translation on the lyrics videos tends to be not accurate. The part ‘his parents said they didn’t knew me well’ is more like “I went to the therapist accompanied by my parents. Turned out no one knew me: neither my parents nor myself knew me well.”
You guys should check "Awakening" from RM. We don't realize how much these artists suffer in the personal lives.I really appreciate BTS has been brave to show their fears, their human side to their fans. I personally started thinking more before judging some artists actions, sometimes those actions are a way of them asking for help.
In the Korean context, these things are not spoken of and hardly even acknowledged. Korea consistently has the highest suicide rate in the world. BTS has always used their music to address issues that matter, Yoongi especially, given his experiences. (Yoongi said somewhat recently that he has learned to manage his social phobia and depression but believes they will always be with him.) This is why their lyrics matter to ARMY. BTS is about much more than the cheerfulness of Dynamite, done specifically to lift spirits during the pandemic. Perhaps now you understand that that was a choice with some depth behind it: they understand about lifting spirits. Now, revisit Daechwita, where his new self confronts his old self.

Now onto very depressing parts.
2) The beep was for the question therapist always asks you when you come with depression to them - if you have ever attempted suicide or self-harmed yourself. And the next line is Yoongi's reply 😔
3) The "those days when I *tried* to sleep on the bathroom floor" line is similar to a known poetic reference to dying (aka to fall asleep or to fall on the cold floor are both references to a person dying).
ㅠㅠ
I can’t imagine how difficult this song had to be to write and even perform .
He cried while recording it and decided to keep it in the official song
The amount of love we have for that guy. i -
HIs song First Love has some of this depth of story to it as well, talking about the piano and his music and how he turned away from it at first but how comforting it was to him - I really think that by going through all of this his parents got to understand how important music is for him - at first they were not supportive of it at all due to the belief that it would be too hard to succeed and make a living at it but after all of this they became very supportive, even converting a space at their home into a bit of a small studio for him (nothing high end but still).... there is a concert they did where their families attended and he can be seen bowing down at the end of the concert when they were walking around waving at ARMY and he sees his family and bows to them in love and respect and breaks in to tears.
I can’t say thank enough to Bangtan boys and they’ll always be part of my life from a distance as long as they allowing me too🙏💪🏼💜
U guys should react to The Most Beautiful Life Goes On: A Story of BTS. It’s the most detailed video I have seen in a while
Yes, I agree! And bts hardships and struggles.
We will check it out. Thank you😎😎
Yes. I Agree 👍
Yes
Agree 👍👍👍💜💜💜🙋🙋🙋🙋
This song never fails to make me cry and the song that made Suga my ultimate bias. This song literally helped me get through rough times.
One of my fave songs from him, Yoongi are an amazing artist
Suga has said he cried when recording this song.
Where did he share this . Please share
Damn..I teared up.. 😣
Another reason why I'm so happy for where and who they are now.. they deserve it all, even more.
kmedia still do those sh*t things to BTS, 'til this day.
Every time i listen to this song i always cry , he was sharing his story with us . its okay tho he is happy now . Thanks for the reaction . I hope more people would recognized how talented he is . I m so glad live the same era with him and bts .
I’ve missed you guys! Welcome back. Great reaction as always. Suga is my bias as well 😎 some other viewers wrote really detailed descriptions regarding his story behind these lyrics so I won’t bore you by repeating it. Looking forward to all your new videos and I hope you guys can get your old ones back!
Sounds really deep and distressing.
Yes. It definitely is😎😎
RM’s mixtape Mono also describes his feelings\working through depression. Has some of my favorite songs on it.
I've been looking for your channel since MMA2020 because I really want to see your reaction to BTS live performance.IT'S ART.
Imagine...just imagine...being in the studio with him while he was recording this...
I know that he struggled in the past but this is the first time I've heard it 😭 thank you for appreciating Yoongi 💜
he was living witha disrupted shoulder since 2012, his members came to know that in 2016 through this song. all that time only bang PD knew. in 2013 when they were filming american hussle life, jimin asked him to do bboying since he was a bboy prior to being a idol. he was goofing around and not doing it,nobody knew that he could'nt do it anymore. jimin himself realised that in 2016.
I'm so happy you guys are diving deeper into their music. Please react to "Epiphany" by Jin of BTS
His delivery is 100% on point everytime
Yoongi is a complete package rapper...I mean he is one of a kind..💜💜💜
BTS time! Yoongi 💜 We miss him. He’s recovering from shoulder surgery.
Out of curiosity 😊
If Jermiah’s bias is Suga, who’s johnny’s bias in BTS?
Yes. Hopefully he gets well soon. It is Suga for both of us😎😎
@@jus2react oh, I thought he might be RM biased. ;) all good.
Me too...
@@jus2react awww im a suga biased too, amazing u have the same bias.
I'm a Suga biased as well! I love him so much! He's been my inspiration these days 💜💜💜
This song abaout Agust D life, Agust D past.
Life story in the past,
He born in a poor family, his parrents not support him, he become a rapper but no one bought his music. He also become a Delivery currier. And get an Accident at 2012 that make his shoulder get serious injury untill now. But he hide it from public.. On November 2020 he get a Shoulder surgery. He always struggle and compose music in pain.
His life story was a great.
From nobody to be legend
Wow finally awesome react with awesome agust d 🥺🥺🥺 this song always makes army feel sad bucz no one know what happens to bts all the world attacked them soo bts only kpop group he they started from scratch soooooo they deserve the best 💜💜💜
You'll know him well ..just listen to his whole mixtape there's 2 of it ..its like a transitions of story
I think you responded correctly emotionally to this, AgustD would be glad his music touches people
My favorite Agust’D song
RM this a video called
1) DO YOU 2) JOKE address his hater to people said BTS wouldn't be successful.
J-Hope just came out with his new album call
"Jack in the Box" shows him more darker side.
He did a live concert
Pull up
J-Hope performance at lollapalooza
7/2022 in Chicago this was his first time performance only.
BTS are still together but they wanted to do solo
album to show more sides and personalities of themselves.
BTS has a certain standard they have to uphold but if they're doing individual albums they can sing and be anywhere they want to.
BTS will be back in concert 10/2022
We can feel the pain in his voice💙💙💙
Thank you so much ~i purple u~♡♡♡♡♡♡♡
This was one of the songs Yoongi said he cried recording it :((
located finally! wait, what happened to j2r family channel? anyways glad to have you again💜
Im so sad when i hear this song...😭😭😭😭😭
You guys my favorite 🤩
It’s hard to hear but nice that he could share!
Hope you react more to BTS. Especially their older songs, like "I need u"
My favorite song is So far away ft Suran from his first mixtape.
Thank you so much for the reactio . I believe this is the best song from Agust D. It's so deep and dark, but the lyric is so beautiful and strong. I love this song so much. Next, you might want to react ro his other song like 'Agust D' and 'First Love'
Courage of Agust D. 🔥🔥🔥
Its deep & raw
I heard armys saying that suga cried after/while he recorded this.
Aaaaaaaaaaa. Finallyyyy.
Yeah, so now that you know what it's about and the fact that the song is kind of structured as a suicide note... I guess the meaning of the title could be last words...
Finally I did subscribe your channel 👍
He was crying while recording this song 😭😭
the guy on the right looks so stoned lol
I like your reaction~! I would love to see your review on his recent mixtape, D-2.
One thing, though, these translation on the lyrics videos tends to be not accurate. The part ‘his parents said they didn’t knew me well’ is more like “I went to the therapist accompanied by my parents. Turned out no one knew me: neither my parents nor myself knew me well.”
Yes agree ....😇😇😇
suga's real name is min yoon-gi
please react to interlude: shadow. Suga is also a great song

You guys should check "Awakening" from RM.
We don't realize how much these artists suffer in the personal lives.I really appreciate BTS has been brave to show their fears, their human side to their fans. I personally started thinking more before judging some artists actions, sometimes those actions are a way of them asking for help.
❤
Please react bts rap line cypher medley live 2017 you guys like it
Next please... Katrina velarde ( Go the distance) thanks.
Guys plss react to bts mama 2020 dynamite dance break , in that song j hope dance was like Michael Jackson moves
Now, revisit Daechwita, where his new self confronts his old self.

hi guys nice reactions. can you react tony montana live by suga feat jimin and so far away by suga feat jk and jin plz
I actually hope you use this story as an impetus to get to know the members better. That shoulder injury Suga mentioned? He JUST had the operation to fix it at Christmas. He delayed it until the group was more established. RM and Jimin have had death threats. Jimin had an eating disorder. JHope nearly left the group.

Oh and there is a translation error at the very end of the video too. I will try to find the correct translation for you.
Ok, the last verse is;
Seiko, Rolex, AX hall and gymnastic stadium.
The heads of thousands nodding to my hand gesture
Sorrow created me
uh look at me closely uh
Selling ourselves or not

We couldn't do it
But we didn't, shit.
I did get this from a translation app so if there is any that are wrong, please fellow ARMY, let them know.
Thanks
Hi, great reaction and it was nice to see that you were paying attention to the lyrics. However, it would be great if in the future you stopped saying "shit" or cursing this much. There are many other ways to express emotions and this is just something not very pleasant to hear in almost every sentence. But this is just my opinion
