Playing Strega's time circuit with a Keystep is a lot of fun! A nice trick is "bending" the time with the pitch bend, especially by finger tapping on Keystep's bend strip. A very nice performative gesture.
Beautiful, the beginning did sound like Sonny, then mutated into some Stockhausen like sounds, wild how one of newest ideas in synths produces such classic sounds. This was an inspired performance you know that sucker well and have obviously spent time listening to the masters, thanks
The Strega is such an interesting, and complex, instrument. On the one had it can be patched to create these more experimental/avant-garde tonalities. On the other hand, it can also be patched to produced what most people would agree are "musical" tonalities. Complex and fascinating musical instrument. I wish more musicians used it.
S3 E6, old man Cameo wants the empire back, so he makes robots drop things and dump trash (how does that restore the empire?). Keeps large, red “kill everyone” button right on his desk. Planet isn’t allowed to have army, but they can hire one. Mandalorians aren’t allowed in city, but they can hire other M’s to let into city. Baby Yoda gets knighted by Lizzo for no reason, because it’s cute. Celebrity cameos. Bad writing. Fetch quests.
I think you should do a series about Delia Derbyshire with the morphagene. I just saw a documentary of her work and I immediately remembered your videos about the morphagene. It would be awesome to see some of her work recreated on modern gear.
Must... hold... back... *reaches reluctantly for his wallet*... Must... NOT... buy... STREEEEEEGAAAAAAA!!!!1111eleven I'm failing miserably. Haven't bought it yet... But I will... eventually. :D
Funny you should mention delay lines- I was idly wondering whether I should sell my Echophon, so I asked ModWiggler. To date it’s about twenty to one for keeping it, and i’ve picked up some cool patch ideas too!
Never imagined you could achieve organ tones from the Strega! Just another reminder of the synth's endless sound palette!

and something I failed to do in the video even though I was doing it a bunch during preparation! Good tip :)
Hi! Im from the future. Been on the fence about the Strega for a while. This video is the clincher.
Strange drone machine ✅
Sun Ra was a visionary. Thanks for sharing the history of his creative vision!
Thanks for watching! 🌌

I´m looking forward to seeing you with your news at the superbooth in berlin, great video!
I adore Wednesdays, The Mandalorian is out and its Make Noise day. Perfect. Love this video, yet again.

I haven’t watched any of Mando this season. I’ve heard some drama…

Great idea!
Sure do. I play the mighty, Meris LVX, delay pedal as though it's an instrument.
I want that t-shirt so much!
I’m glad you got that right; the Strega is not a minimoog. You were scaring me for a second. 😂 Interesting video.
Haha! It's not the most... original observation, but it seemed worth pointing out!! Glad you enjoyed :)
Ho no.... more awesomeness.
Yeah dude!!!🎉
'...' before @08:34 and pure magic after it.

Interesting I wish that MakeNoise made a Eurorack version.
you can mount strega in a euro case. it just comes in its own case
@@PsychicHealingFactoryOutletthe touch pads get a bit wonky when mounted in a case. Even when using the supplied power supply.

Hey, happy patching! Echophon can get easy to overlook as a 10+ year old digital module, but I still find new ways to use it :)
Don't sell it. Ever.
Echophon is probably one of my favorites to pair with percussion sounds. It adds a nice 3D sort of effect to it that gives it some great density.
This is the RUclips content I was looking for. Thank you
