Soon after I received the prophetic word that I was a watchman and would see the snake and see the wolf, we had a staff member that was demonically planted in our ministry. She was Bishop Hamon's secretary. She had a great smile; lifted her hands in worship... but every time I got around her, there was something in me [that raised a red flag].
I never trusted her, but Bishop Hamon trusted her. So it was like, I'm going to have to learn to... [trust her?] She ended up causing some division, and it's the closest thing we've ever come to a church split. Way back in the beginning, she split off a couple of staff members, and a couple of church families when we were just starting. She led them away by just spreading some really horrific lies.
When we got together as a leadership team to pray and talk about what had happened, I made this statement: "I just never really trusted her." Bishop turned and looked at me and said, "Well, why didn't you say something?" I said, "Well, my mother taught me "if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all." How many understand that discernment is no excuse to go around talking about people, OK? But, if you're talking about speaking to your spiritual leader about something, that's another matter.
Bishop said, "Listen, you got that prophetic word that you're anointed to see the snake, and to see the wolf - that's the gift of discernment. I'm going to lay my hands on you, and I'm going to activate that gift of discernment, so that you've got permission to start activating that and telling me and the other leaders what it is you're seeing, and what it is that you're hearing." I was already seeing and hearing, I just didn't know what to do with it.
I didn't feel anything, I didn't get Holy Ghost shivers, or anything. He prayed and activated it. But the next day, we went to church, and I'm a people person, I love people. So I went to church. "Oh, hi, good to see you!" I would give them a hug. As I'm giving them a hug, apocalipsis (revelation) happens. Suddenly I'm seeing all the stuff. I'm up leading worship, and I'm looking back there going, "Oh, Jesus! Oh my gosh!"
I'm seeing people's thoughts; I'm seeing people's hearts. I'm seeing all this stuff. So literally, after two weeks of this, I went back to Bishop, and said, "You put your hands back on me and take this back! I do not want this! This is awful. What an awful, awful thing! "Please make this stop." Do you know what he said? He said "No, you are going to learn to operate [in this] - this is a gift of the Holy Spirit." I said, "It sure doesn't feel like a gift. It feels like a curse."
God had to take me through a process of learning to operate in this gift. It was not pleasant... pretty much for anybody. I'd see things, and they said, "Come and share with us." My Bishop and my husband, two of the most mercy-motivated, kind-hearted people that you'll ever meet. They never think a negative thought about people. When I first started discerning... that's all I was doing!
I'd say, "Well, this person has this issue in their life, and this person has this issue, and this person has this issue, what are you going to do about it?" They would say, "OK we are going to pray." How many are grateful that mercy triumphs over judgment? Before you judge somebody's problem, you need to understand there's always a process with God. How many are glad that God just doesn't put a giant X through your name when you're not doing good. How many are glad that God gave you a second chance? How many are glad that God didn't just let you be kicked out of a process, when God was trying to draw you back to him - when you weren't doing so well?
Often, discernment is not the end of the matter - we also need to hear the heart of God. What is God's process for the person to bring redemption? Ultimately, redemption is what the gift [of discernment] is for. However, sometimes there are wolves. Once, while I was on the worship team, a man walked in the back door of our church. He was dressed nicely; he was a nice-looking man. He was lifting his hands and worshiping God. He seemed to be entering into the Spirit.
AMEN! Discernment is MUCH NEEDED in the Body of Christ!

What do you do when no one believes you? What do you do when the Pastors or Shepherds are allowing those wolves and snakes to come in?
I had this happen some years ago, as prayer leader, pastor didn't believe prayer team, we kept praying, eventually God caused this man to show his true self and manifested in front of pastor. Pastor did tell us, we were correct in our warning. We prayed and left it with God!

Use discernment and keep your eyes open and protect the people your around through deep intercession!!!
Stay alert, say nothing and let God work out the details with the church leaders!!!
Don't talk about it to others because that turns into gossip and discord and you don't want to be known for that!!!

Trust the Lord to deal with the church leaders and you stay in Strong intercession and watching over all that it concerns....
you are a watchman and that position is very important......

@@Roni-vo1rn I hear you about the gossip but the watchman is supposed to watch and then send up the alarm when they see something. Everything is so complicated anymore that it’s hard to know what to do. There are so many people, we’re all spread out, inconsistent due to life schedules and don’t really know one another very well. It’s very tough….

I had the same thing happen and it wound up destroying the church because the leadership wouldn't listen. I do understand how difficult it can be and I pray you find peace in the midst of it all. I myself wound up leaving the church and it got completely turned around on me and I was being accused behind my back of having a Jezebel spirit. It was a very deep church hurt but has since helped me to be able to grow in my walk with the Lord. It's hard sometimes especially when there is witchcraft involced and people are blind to the ones who are really being used by the enemy. I pray the Lord helps your situation. I will say this for me, I keped praying and had no choice because they wouldn't recieve anything I had to say, so it was time for me to dust my feet and move on. Now after moving on and letting the Lord lead me where He needed me to be, there was judgement placed upon them and the church is almost nothing now. It's sad but there is always consequences to not listening to the warnings of the Lord.

I have that gift also - my husband sometimes think I'm mean or unmerciful...but I'm not - I Want desperately to see people whole and bringing glory to God by their lives being laid down for Jesus - His life shinning thru them. but I get a feeling, and a sense about people as soon as I meet them..I prophesied a lot for our Pastor as he started the church..it was glorious - once the church got going and all the men where put in place I was not needed anymore..I still could see things several times I shared my dreams as I felt they were warnings from God but I wasn't considered anymore..I felt like a giant hole was inside of me..and I finally stopped acknowledging the stirrings..I've asked and asked for forgiveness for ignoring Holy Soirit - but I've just come to terms that that was a season - we do ministry every day..I still know when to attempt to present the gospel and when it's a mute point - I still tell woman about Psalm 139:13-14 have them read it..tell them God loves them..but my bones are so dry..I'm so busy working so busy doing..when I'm not doing I find something to be doing..I'm ready for Jesus to come take us home..do ready..I am just broken hearted that I have left my 1st love behind and I can't get it back..He has to do it..it is by His grace I am what I am - we can't even love Him unless He helps us - I love Him..I just want that fire and passion back!!
I pray that the Lord will give back everything and even more that our enemy has stolen from you. Only gifts and things from Jesus!!!
Don't give up,who the Lord chastises He loves,i had fell away and was in despair that i could never stand strong again. Now i 'm back and blessed with all hope and joy.
I don’t think your gift is gone. I think you have matured with it. Your church is in a better place. Do take courage and go forward. God has new horizons for you. We are coming into a huge shift. You will need it more. But.... you will handle it differently

A much needed topic too many "discerners" who think they know evrything n see things they doNT in the body. And then ther r probly thoz who do who keep quiet. Wow this is an amazing word l wondered about all this stuff when l see things in the body of Christ 👑💎🙏🙏🙏l have been around people who are wolves in sheep's clothing and snakes but l have felt l could never tell the leadership as they wouldn't believe me 🛡️🔥🔥🔥🙏🙏lve also discovered that out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks 🤔l hear people talk bad things against others in Church it is really sad

I have tried to warn leaders and was shut down. And then was told I was cursing them.
Thanks for sharing - it is, unfortunately, a pretty common theme that we hear. You did your part. Leading a church is often treated like running a business - BIG MISTAKE! The spiritual decisions need to be made by the people with the most spiritual awareness (discernment is a big part of that). Instead those decisions are often made by board members who know how to make money but don’t spend enough time fasting and praying, pressing in to hear the voice of the Lord. The Ecclesia / radical remnant of mature believers are not threatened by prophetic Intercessors who hear from the Lord - they value those people as essential members of the Body. Guard your heart against offense.

Prayer and serious studies to read and know Christ is what develops this gift of discernment. Jesus said out of the abundance of a person's heart a mouth will speak. Some people go to church for healing and exceptance. Alot of prejudices keep people out of Church. I always thought Church was to help people grow closer to Jesus and look and be ready for the rapture . I'm waiting for all prophecies the until Jesus sets up His 🤴 Kingdom to come. Is the Church like the world 🌎 or ,do we say come Lord Jesus !

Jane please pray for me I stop breathing in 2022 and was on a ventilator for three weeks when I woke up I could not walk I been in hospital and rehab since may 18 I’m born again and I want the gifts God want me to have I praying for discernment how does one know if they have discernment thanks I would like your email to contact u

Don’t be discouraged, we all have to grow and mature into our gifts. Jane wrote a book called “Discernment” which is excellent.

Most churches haven’t been operating in the prophetic since Jesus sent His Spirit on Pentecost, but we are supposed to be. Jesus IS the Spirit of prophecy, so it has always been available! We don’t need a movement, just need to pray for real….and Watchmen have always been here too…. It’s just that many read the Word, but it is only a book to them; ever learning but never coming into intimacy with Him & what He is saying…. the Truth just doesn’t become reality! …Yep, any form of flesh (exalting oneself above God) whatsoever stops the operation of the Spirit…. whether it is church at the house of prayer or walmart 😁🤣🥳

May I ask how to know if one is anointed?
There is not an easy short answer. Certainly there would be be evidence of good spiritual fruit, accurate discernment, Godly wisdom. It says of the sons of Issachar that they understood the times and seasons and knew what Israel should do. David was anointed to play the harp and drive out the tormenting spirits from King Saul. Peter was anointed to heal as he walked past people. The bones of Elisha were anointed to resurrect someone from the dead.
