So Walmart has like 2-3lb brisket flats that I've looked at before. Think something like that would be worth just throwing in the pot raw with everything else instead of smoking it first?
Great question. I wouldn't throw it in the pot raw. Brisket needs to be brought up past 200 degrees to get real tender. I'm not sure how long that would take or if it would even happen if you let it sit in the Chili all day. I would smoke it first. If it's only a 2 or 3 pound flat if won't take long to smoke. Not as long as a whole 16 pound brisket anyways.
I'll have to save some of my brisket next time! I end up chopping it all for samiches! Not a fan of the slices. That's just me and I'm sure everyone will dog me for it but it's what I like so who cares!😂😂😂
@Nicks-BBQ did some of this today and it came out delicious! Unfortunately been raining for a couple days so did in crock pot. Was a lot for 2 people but will do again if left over brisket! Thanks for sharing!

I like the slices but usually only if im putting it in a taco or something like that
