Looking great Keith, Looks like you got the flow dialed in pretty nicely with those eco tech MP’s. I’ll be interested to see down the road once you have some coral growth, how the flow may change.
Very exciting project! Have you thought about the Tunze Stream 3 if you end up needing extra flow? They could sit on the bottom of the tank - you can get special rocks to hide them in too 🙂
May want to look into some Tunze Stream pumps. That way you can shoot the water towards the end and not blast everything closer. Parker's Reef has a pretty sweet mod so you could hook them to the Eurobrace and hide them on the one end super easy. I have also heard that the Nero5 will push water close to 6 feet. Super small wire and super small in tank footprint. I am in the early stages of a 72x36 peninsula myself so these videos are really helping me out! Flow is definitely throwing a wrench into things.
The more random, multi-directional flow the better but sometimes that might not be possible for all parts of the tank. I have some SPS that are getting flow in one direction since they are positioned next to powerheads.
Considering you run German products like your mitras lights, profilux controller, royal exclusiv sump and skimmer, etc. you should consider using the panta rhei pumps that are excellent at delivering flow in distance.
I was just thinking about the flow in my setup and came to your final pump choices. Awesome video. Enjoying the series very much.
Thats a lot of flow! Looks perfect.
Another good video

The episode I really wanted to see from the start

gyre mode with 2 x MP60 creates the MOST flow at the opposite end of my 6 ft tank

I have two nero5s and highly doubt it’s ability to push 6 feet for sps
great video
My reef is peninsula! To get a correct flow is so dificult for me 😣 Thanks for your vídeo!
I always thought acro need flow from all sides. Any downside for acropora to only get flow from one direction??

Flow in a peninsula is a nightmare. I've tried so many options and the only option which works really well is closed loop for the far end.
Good video

Thanks, I will check it out.
nice 👍🏻
Did you cinsider gyres? I'm hoping to start a similar project and wondering what'll be best.
I did but I thought the MP40's and 60's would work better in my setup....Gyres could be good as well.
🤘🐠 1k sub goal so I can get a new tank upgrade
That intro music bums me out every time I hear it. Keith is so upbeat but that music makes me want to dub this build "Prozac Reef".
I’ll say it, this tank looks really tacky and stupid without substrate.
Thanks for making me laugh. instagram.com/p/CpjHJUngKq5/
