By far the sickest edit on a skim video I've ever seen. Super smooth motion, nice camera handling, and a dope looking color grade. Props to Skylar Wilson!!
Thanks for putting on suck a sick competition for the last 40 years!! Thanks also for the live stream that enabled me to watch from my house in England! Nail biting heats!
I think this is a good edit, if you know what skimboarding is. If you don't, and you are told to view this as the "WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS" event of the sport, if this is really the most premier event, why is there only footage of people riding waves and music. This comment isn't degrading the cinematographers capability to make a good edit, but it is critiquing the style of this video. Every year, every contest, its the same thing. Flashy 3 second clips with a song that no one relates to, and the video is under 6 minutes. As a premier event for the sport, I would hope to see a little more depth in the videos covering the event. Where are the interviews? Where are the explanations? Aside from the skimboarding, what makes this event the world championships?
Welll said. I think this is a great video. Personally I would like to see more interviews and just hear what the top skimmers have to say about the sport
