THANK YOU! It was that the number was previously blocked in my phone. Before seeing this video I had even sent the text message to the number on and start in lowercase but nothing. THANK YOU SO MUCH! For a few weeks now FB has been trying to enforce the Facebook Protect on my account and it enforced it today with having to use 2FA. Thank you thank you thank you!

ily ily ily ive been trying to fix this issue for well over a year i just decided to give it another try and i thank you for this i had lost acces to my oculus account that i have spent my hard earned money on but now i can play all my favorite games again tysm

It doesn't work for me. Facebook gives me just the SMS option. It doesn't even let me type in the phone number - only the ending of the phone number is shown, the rest of it is in *. The phone number is correct, because I can log in via app in my phone and I've checked it. Whenever I want the SMS message to be sent, a text saying -it's not possible right now- pops up. I have (unfortunately) double authentication activated.

So I receive the code for the reset password link but I’m not receiving the code that it sends for signing on from a new device. Please help with this as I am locked out of my account until I can get this resolved. I’ve even tried confirming my identity by taking a picture of my I.D. and sending it to facebook, but am not receiving anything back from them.

What about android users? I cant get a 6 digit code to get into Facebook. I tried everything and nothing works.

It's really frustrating that the support team is unwilling to help. I had the same problems with my account, but an expert was able to solve the problem for me.
I got referred to a pro expert who helped me.
Often there are professional who can help.
I got a new iPad today. Facebook is asking me a code that I never received or my ID instead. I'm not giving my ID to this people. So, I suppose I'm not going to be able to use my Facebook on that new iPad.
I'm logged in on my Android through the Facebook app. I'm trying to log in through the library computer and the only password it even reacts to says "This was your password five years ago"

Common sense isn't common unfortunately.
I commented here on the fix with Android that I figured out. It's probably the Hiya Spam Protection, found in Phone Settings. Toggle it off & try again. 🤙

I have good reception, I have no blocked numbers or content, facebook has my correct number, there is no option when I try to log on to facebook to change the method from sms to email- the only option is to upload my govt id, which I have done, and facebook rejected it. I have now been locked out of my account for 5 days, I even sent a filled in report to facebook 3 days ago and have not received a reply

I changed my password and it says sent me a code to WhatsApp but never re i ever a message. I do see “ can’t send code try again later” (been a couple hours).
