- I made this video to show the details of my newest product - an internal fuel surge tank for the 99-18 GM trucks using the factory fuel tank. This is a fully enclosed tank that fits inside the stock returnless style (2004 and later) fuel tank without any modification. This completely prevents any sort of fuel pump starvation or fuel sloshing regardless of main fuel tank level without having to use any sort of foam or baffling. No more having to keep 1/4 to 1/2 tank of gas just to keep the pumps from starving on a hard launch!
I am working on adding these to my website with versions to accommodate dual or triple Walbro 450 or 525s, or one of the large internal brushless Aeromotive 3.5/5/7.5/10GPM pumps.
The only modification will be to add the included fuel level sender mount. Simply 2x 1/4" holes in the top near the tank opening that can be plugged later with an NPT plug if needed.
This is perfect for daily driver or restrictive racing classes that dont allow fuel cells, or guys doing drag and drive events that need more capacity than the typical fuel cell. Also great for sleeper type builds.
Brilliant design.
That is a very cool setup for us truck people. Thanks
My only issue is this. If the feeder pump dies for some/ any reason, you aint goin anywhere.
Unless this is ment for drag only trucks & not daily driven.
Correct, just like if any pump dies. The fill pump is operating at 0psi since the fuel just drains out so it draws very little current (2-3amps) and should last a very long time. It is easily replaced if needed.
First comment ! Good job Richard
Where can we order?
I will have them on my website soon. I am finishing up some support documentation and finalizing some things first.
@@atomic178 good deal
did I miss the fuel level sender portion?
Not sure its in the video but I include a separate assembly to mount one in the tank
Work with suburban returnless tanks?
I am not sure if the suburban tank is the same depth as the trucks, but if it is, it should work just fine. Thanks
