gan is doing spectator friendly cubing good, the set looks very nice and well put together. and doing this with smart cubes is so smart (no pun intended) because they can have a big screen that shows what they’re actually doing
i think every top cubers can get sub 3 solve because they need the reaction time after starting the solve like they need at least 0.2 s to pick up the cube and start the solve and when they finish the solve they have to stop the timer and that takes another 0.1 s but for a smart cube it depends on the first turn of the cube and the last turn of the cube which don’t take the time to pick up and put down the cube

In the cubing community, when we say a solve is “official”, it has to be done by WCA-sanctioned procedures, which involves a stackmat timer and a judge/referee to oversee the solve.
