    Hello Clive
    Really like the support coach great buy.
    I really could of done with that guillotine for todays job of cutting plastic windows out.
    Those DCC concept amp meters are brilliant i just dont know how to wire one lol 🤣

      Yes it was peter dixon and Al vids that convinced me they were a worth while purchase, they just wire in and out, straight inline from the controller power wires

    Hi, very good haul you have there, that Hornby breakdown coach looks very nice, I have the Bachmann equivalent model that has so much more detailing on and in it, great livery to collect as it looks so bright, unfortunately the prices of such items are very high now that manufacturers no longer produce them, thanks for sharing.

      Hi, Thanks for watching, I do have a few bachman one`s in the set I picked up plus another that needed some TLC, I have used my points to get the accurascale mk1 pw coach which should be here soon.

    Another nice collection Clive.
    Yeah, with really old rolling stock, Code 100 is as small as I'm prepared to go.
    Happy modelling

      Yeah i`m sure the smaller profiles look great at the right angles, but to buy all new code rail and rewheel older stock is an unnecessary expence to my mind, I just wanted the long turnouts for the US plan.

      @@newlynnrailway Hundreds of dollars to rewheel older stock even if you buy "off" brand wheels.

    I have one of those guillotines. Yes, it's not the most robust, but as long as you're sensible with it you can use it ok. I just can't bring myself to pay the exorbitant prices that some sellers advertise for the metal ones. I've had mine a long time now. It's useful for thin stuff, but not much good for thicker plastics or woods...

    • @newlynnrailway
      @newlynnrailway  2 месяца назад

      No thats kind of what I thought, I`ve got hand held shares for tougher stuff, it will be for the fidlly detail parts on scratch build and kits, for the amount of use it will get, I couldn`t justify the price tag of the other types

    Hi Clive . Just a small point as you know i have the same meter on my layout with the ddc concepts power pack to whitch gives my 17 volts and 5 amps. Now you said you may need a booster . i would say no . My layout does not have BUS Wires it relies on fish plates . About 250 feet of running tracks. Now i did a running film a while back now where i ran 8 trains with rolling stock and i only reached 1 amp. The thing that boosts the amps up is lights . i can turn 4 trains on my layout with the lights on carrages and running lights and it will pull 1 amp .before they even move .sound chips only pull a cpl milly amps when turned on . But my layout and peter dixon will tell you the same that meter is a gods send to save money and hassel over time.
    P.S. Are you going to GETS this year . Regards Lord Al.

      Hi Al, Yes GETS all booked as soon as they put out the dates, vip tickets and same hotel. I`ve been out with the tape measure today, It`s looking like I could go to 28ft by 12ft, something along the lines of sparkys layout, A j shape loop. I`ll see how it goes, there not cheap so if I don`t need it, I wont go for it. Can you imaging trying to run 8 trains at once, lol
