@@fernandosilva2213 Isso mesmo Fernando e lembrando, mesmo que o TAA em 4K tenha ficado mais nitido, o DLSS ainda é o vencedor, justamente por causa do blur que o TAA gera quando o Arthur entra em movimento, bem notável em áreas com vegetação, esse problema some ao usar o DLSS e também é possível aumentar o DLSS Sharpness no menu no jogo pra obter mais nitidez (ai na imagem está em uns 30%)
eu tava tipo "nossa, to tendo muito que esforçar mt pra notar diferença do nativo pro dlss qualidade" ai notei que os prints estão no modo performance, tá bizarro.

Interestingly, in my own tests I noticed that switching from preset "E" (CNN) to preset "K" (Transformer) slightly increases GPU power draw (by 10-15W), which indicates that a GPU works harder when new version of DLSS is enabled.
Да тоже заметил, но при этом К в режиме производительности выглядит не хуже чем Е в режиме качество при +- том же ФПС. Остался пока-что на пресете J и видеокарте легче и картинка идеальная в режиме качество, лучше чем нативное
Why not? I’m completely new to PC gaming. I just bought my first one last week. But I got a 4070 Super and I’ve been running FF7 Rebirth at 4K, 90 fps, and max settings 🤷♂️
@fearlesscheshirecat1411 the 4070 super can handle 4k, but not perfectly higher than 90fps at most. I like running at 120fps minimum at all times. Just a personal preference.
@ Ok, I just wanted to make sure I wasn’t overheating my system or something lol Yah it will dip no lower than 65 fps sometimes, but it’s still a gorgeous game, and super fun! Worth checking out if you ever get the chance!
@fearlesscheshirecat1411 ya I got rebirth. Haven't played it yet. Been playing spiderman 2, just waiting for patches to these new games before I dive into them. I love FF7, but I fear the deviations from the OG FF7. Remake kinda left a bad taste in my mouth. Seeing sephiroth in the beginning then fighting him at the end was just silly. And the whole fate ghosts. I would of rather had a 1 to 1 remake with some added stuff. The game looks and plays amazingly otherwise. I do look forward to rebirth when I muster up the courage to play it.

Great quality video, very well laid out and informative, love the timeline across the bottom and timestamps on the right too, I have a TUF 4070s with a 5700x3d and DLSS 4 has really surprised me, shame I'm one of the ones suffering the CP2077 crashes, do you undervolt your 4070 super, the temps seem to say no but the power usage seems to say yes?
I have the identical configuration and have tested it myself in a total of five of the games shown here - the differences are much smaller and are mostly between 3 and 10 FPS. Dlss 4 is definitely not a big leap with the 40x cards
But the cool part of DLSS 4 is not how many FPS you will get, DLSS 4 actually perfoms worse than DLSS 3 due to the transformer model. The advantage of DLSS is being able to use Transformer Model and the DLSS 4 Performance will look similar to DLSS 3 Quality because of that, with a bit more FPS, if you have enough FPS, you will be able to use DLSS 4 Quality and that will reveal more detail than Native TAA for example.

Now you can safely buy 4070 super, set 4k resolution and DLSS for performance, you get super texture resolution and at the same time do not lose in quality.

Geralt sorry if it's too long, I have something for 1080p, it's not the best, but I think it's fair for that resolution. My computer is Ryzen 5 5600g, RTX 4060, 32 GB RAM, SSD, one with 2 TB, the other with 1 and another 240 gb well there is a specific game the ghost of tsushima the one on ps4 that came to PC ported by nixxes I tried each configuration from very high to high with dlss in quality blocking the fps although it is fluid in the open world it is like there are constant stuttering when travel in horse some people told me it is the cpu others the bandwidth could you help me I think I have a good PC a Hug
Yes, your PC is good enough the stutters shouldn't be happening, your CPU is only slight worse than the 5600, a good CPU. Have you tried the game in a different SSD?
Wonderful video and the imgur comparisons are even more helpful, I had many questions but they got answered automatically reading through your comments, one thing i noticed is that just using dlss override to latest doesn't replace my dlss file to dlss 4, the old dlss 3.8 file remains, in all of my games i had to manually replace the dlss file and then apply dlss overide in nvidia app, Also, if dlss performance is 95% of Native 4k, Dlss Quality should exceed old Native DLAA 3 right? Can test that? Dlss 4 quality vs Native 4k?
Hi Saad, thanks for your comment man, are you using the DLSS Swapper to check the DLSS Version? Unfortunately, the swapper and some other apps won't show the new applied version of DLSS by the NVIDIA App, I've uploaded a overlay in the description with a tutorial of how to use, it is quite simple and tells you which version of DLSS you are using in-game like you can see in the DLSS parts of this video, it is displayed in the bottom left corner, you might need to use fullscreen to see, it is very small, but it will show the new DLSS version applied by the NVAPP. Yes, of course I can make the comparison!
@GeraltBenchmarks Awesome, Although I already found my answer and this may be helpful to you too, I read somewhere that Nv app is implementing new dlss on driver level, so its not even using the Dll file anymore, so it doesn't matter if its still the old dll in the game files, Dlss overide means its gonna implement transformer model through the driver, which is awesome and easy, but to verify this I will download the Dlls overlay today just to make sure. And no before i wasn't using anything to make sure new version is being used, The difference is so big that I could just tell by seeing that its the new model, This dlss 4 thing has saved me ALOT of money, I was about to sell my 4070 super and buy 4080 due to not being able to play 4k native at 60 fps and I couldn't use dlss it looked bad to me but now man I'm just blown away and I'm gonna keep my 4070 super.
DLSS 4 with transformer looks in performance mode, like DLSS3 with quality mode (in 4k tested). Thats not a trick. Its just an evolution of the DLSS KI.
Yes, you are right, nothing is free. Transformel Model will take 5 to 10fps to work, if we compared DLSS 3 Quality and DLSS 4 Quality with Transformer, the DLSS 4 will look considerably better but it will take more performance, that's why the Performance Mode will be interesting, you will get a bit more performance than the 3 Quality with similar image quality.

Hi friend, I honestly wouldn't since it is too much for the GPU, you would be getting around 60fps with FG ON/DLSS Performance but there would be a noticeable input lag since the base FPS will be around 30s to FG work. Hi friend, actually, the DLSS 4 is a bit more demanding due to the Transformer Model, why using DLSS 4 instead of 3 since it is more demanding? Because Transformer Model improves the image quality even more, by using it, you will be able to use DLSS 4 Performance and have similar image quality compared to DLSS 3 Quality but with much more performance.

@@SkillipEvolver No, that's not how corporations work. They offered it because DLSS has been available to all RTX updates, and this is nothing more than an update to DLSS. DLSS is wildly popular and it would make no sense for them to suddenly restrict it to higher end GPUs.

have a 3080 - tried the dlss4 "hack" preset k and j with the registry showing its running. all my games i loose about 10 frames. guess its not meant for 30xx series cards
Not actually, there is a 5-10fps even on RTX 40 and 50 and that's because of the transformer model. Instead of using the same DLSS Quality you used to use, you must use DLSS Balanced or Performance, but thanks to Transformer, they will look quite the same compared to DLSS 3 Quality.
It's gonna come down to either 4070 super or 5070 to replace my 1660 super, i'm still gonna play at 1080p60 (money doesn't stretch) looks good though, kinda wonder how does it run on stalker 2 and Kingdom come 2, or doom dark ages a little more down the line although my 10th gen i5 doesn't cut for that one.

I tried on Ghost of Tsushima newest version and doesn't work look worse than previous version! Even SMAA on native looks better and cleaner than DLAA or DLSS!
@@KAjo07 Nope, just replaced nvngx_dli file with newest version.I don't use nvidia app, heard rumors it drop fps and it's easier for nvidia to spy on you.I tried on other games and work flawlessly just not on this particular game.
Hi friend, you should check if you installed it right, if you just replaced the nvngx_dll file, it means you aren't using Transformer Model, which is where the magic of DLSS 4 comes from.
Shouldn't you compare this to regular DLSS 3 Quality to really see how good DLSS 4 Performance is? DLSS 4 takes a performance hit and should be compare to DLSS 3 to see if the quality is justified.

@@luismarasquimdealmeida6785 Então amigo, vale muito a pena fazer o lance do DLSS 4 e a parte boa dele é essa, não importa se um jogo tem implementação oficial ou não, vamos usar de exemplo, o Cyberpunk, nativamente ele já possui a versão DLSS 3.10.1.0, uma das primeiras do DLSS 4, se você fizer a etapa do DLSS 4 no NVIDIA App mesmo ele já possuindo o DLSS 4, você simplesmente colocará ele na versão mais nova do DLSS que é a 3.10.2.1, assim como vários outros jogos que nem estavam naquela lista de jogos oficialmente suportados day one com DLSS 4, o Red Dead Redemption 2 ou Witcher 3 são exemplos, jogos que não tem implementação oficial e nem estavam na lista de jogos suportados da NVIDIA, mas o DLSS 4 funciona normalmente neles. Vale muito a pena fazer.

Muito legal as melhorias do DLSS4, alguem sabe dizer se tem diferença entre QHD DLAA (100%) e 4K Desempenho (66,7%) já que ambas rodam a 2560x1440, isso forçando o DLDSR num monitor QHD
Fala amigo, o 4K Desempenho é na verdade 50%, que seria 1080p. No quesito qualidade de imagem, eu prefiro beeeeem mais o DLSS 4 Desempenho com Transformer Model, já que ele tem uns 95% da qualidade de imagem do 4K Nativo se comparado lado a lado. No comentário fixado postei uns comparativos, um abraço amigo!
@@LucasBiazon20 De nada meu amigo, no seu caso que jogará em 1440p eu continuaria usando o DLSS 4 Qualidade ou Balanceado, já que a placa tem desempenho de sobra, o desempenho ficará legal também mas sobra muito desempenho, melhor investir um pouco mais na qualidade de imagem.
Hi friend, yes, the Ultra Settings on The Last of Us is too much for 4070 Super to handle at 4K, but all the stutters are gone with the DLSS 4 Performance/Quality. It is also gone if you lower the settings a bit but I wouldn't recommend using Native 4K on 4070 Super anyway.
The goal of this video is testing the improved DLSS 4 Performance Upscaler and Transformer Model technology so I will only FG when necessary, when using RT for example.

DLSS 4 with transformer looks in performance mode, like DLSS3 with quality mode (in 4k tested). Thats not a trick. Its just an evolution of the DLSS KI.

Yes, you are right, nothing is free. Transformel Model will take 5 to 10fps to work, if we compared DLSS 3 Quality and DLSS 4 Quality with Transformer, the DLSS 4 will look considerably better but it will take more performance, that's why the Performance Mode will be interesting, you will get a bit more performance than the 3 Quality with similar image quality.

Hi friend, I honestly wouldn't since it is too much for the GPU, you would be getting around 60fps with FG ON/DLSS Performance but there would be a noticeable input lag since the base FPS will be around 30s to FG work. To use Path Tracing, I would recommend 1440p, you can also try 1800p.

Ehhhh no.... DLSS 4 is unfortunately harder to run than DLSS 3. I'd wager a 2-5% performance hit for all DLSS modes in DLSS 4.

Because Transformer Model improves the image quality even more, by using it, you will be able to use DLSS 4 Performance and have similar image quality compared to DLSS 3 Quality but with much more performance.

They offered it because DLSS has been available to all RTX updates, and this is nothing more than an update to DLSS. DLSS is wildly popular and it would make no sense for them to suddenly restrict it to higher end GPUs.

have a 3080 - tried the dlss4 "hack" preset k and j with the registry showing its running. all my games i loose about 10 frames. guess its not meant for 30xx series cards
Not actually, there is a 5-10fps even on RTX 40 and 50 and that's because of the transformer model. Instead of using the same DLSS Quality you used to use, you must use DLSS Balanced or Performance, but thanks to Transformer, they will look quite the same compared to DLSS 3 Quality.

How to force dlss 4 in these games?
Is it through DLSS Swapper?
On NVIDIA App, go to "Graphics" tab, select a game there, scroll all the way down until the Driver Settings, there will be an DLSS Override - Model Presets section, open that, check the "Use same settings for all DLSS technologies" and select "Latest" there. You are now forcing the game to use the latest version of DLSS 4 with Transformer Model Preset K enabled.

@@luismarasquimdealmeida6785 Então amigo, vale muito a pena fazer o lance do DLSS 4 e a parte boa dele é essa, não importa se um jogo tem implementação oficial ou não, vamos usar de exemplo, o Cyberpunk, nativamente ele já possui a versão DLSS 3.10.1.0, uma das primeiras do DLSS 4, se você fizer a etapa do DLSS 4 no NVIDIA App mesmo ele já possuindo o DLSS 4, você simplesmente colocará ele na versão mais nova do DLSS que é a 3.10.2.1, assim como vários outros jogos que nem estavam naquela lista de jogos oficialmente suportados day one com DLSS 4, o Red Dead Redemption 2 ou Witcher 3 são exemplos, jogos que não tem implementação oficial e nem estavam na lista de jogos suportados da NVIDIA, mas o DLSS 4 funciona normalmente neles. Vale muito a pena fazer.

Muito legal as melhorias do DLSS4, alguem sabe dizer se tem diferença entre QHD DLAA (100%) e 4K Desempenho (66,7%) já que ambas rodam a 2560x1440, isso forçando o DLDSR num monitor QHD
Fala amigo, o 4K Desempenho é na verdade 50%, que seria 1080p. No quesito qualidade de imagem, eu prefiro beeeeem mais o DLSS 4 Desempenho com Transformer Model, já que ele tem uns 95% da qualidade de imagem do 4K Nativo se comparado lado a lado. No comentário fixado postei uns comparativos, um abraço amigo!

The stuttering in Last of Us was horrible. This makes me angry a bit for giving any 70 tier cards only 12GB. I would never buy these.
Hi friend, yes, the Ultra Settings on The Last of Us is too much for 4070 Super to handle at 4K, but all the stutters are gone with the DLSS 4 Performance/Quality. It is also gone if you lower the settings a bit but I wouldn't recommend using Native 4K on 4070 Super anyway.
Why no FG on some games?
The goal of this video is testing the improved DLSS 4 Performance Upscaler and Transformer Model technology so I will only FG when necessary, when using RT for example.

Achei o desempenho ruim em alguns jogos no nativo e com o DLSS ligado. Esperava mais da placa.
Considerando que 4k nativo não é o objetivo dessa placa eu achei muito bom. Em quad HD que é a resolução dela provavelmente não precisaria nem de DLSS

Fala Yoda_Zoero, então, tem que lembrar que é uma placa com foco em 1440p sendo forçada a rodar 4K Ultra, sendo assim, 70~80fps é um valor muito bom pra ela.
