I worked with DAMS (4 years), DBMCI (2 years), Other coachings (vidyasagar in our state), then prepladder , and now in Physicswallah. So, my life was skewed, tilted toward profession. But yes, generally speaking, the branch offers a good balance.
@mahirahmed3645 So, physio is an option. Of course, patho is any day superior, as a branch. Take either of them, and you will have a good work life balance.

@VivekSirsPhysiology Sir I'm confused between choice of anatomy or physiology. Am I correct in assuming that md physiology has more scope for future than anatomy? Do we have to perform animal experiments during 3 years of PG Physiology? Please help me decide better sir.
@@SreeSowmya-q9j Animal experiments, as in, live dissections are not anymore in the syllabus. Comparing between anatomy and physiology, both have similar potential in teaching career. Other than that, there are some things in anatomy (like genetics), and some in physiology (like sports, nutrition, electrophysiology). So, decide on the basis of what you like and what you expect from life.
Sir while doing PG in Physiology does it involves real Animal experimentation like as a part of syllabus/ practical examination or in MD pharmacology in Central Institutes.??

@@CriticsYouBOY You will have to first decide, what do you want from life. Accordingly, decide the branch. Patho, anesthesia, PSM are 3 completely different branches. Nothing in common. Anesthesia appears to be saturated at the moment. But even in that, pain specialization has a scope. Patho is very dependent , in practice. Job wise, ok. And PSM, has a scope in govt jobs. So first decide, what do u expect to happen after MD. And, what do u want from life.

If you like teaching, you may join some coaching platform after MD. Make your own teaching app. If not, then go for DM in interventional and clinical physiology. Or, start general practice .
@@Neetpwworld3849 MD physiology is not hectic . There is no residency duties (as with clinical branches). It is like 9 to 5. And, AIIMS, is always better than other institutes. Go for it.

This was my 2nd attempt and i got 90k rank, last time was 50k so took a drop.. in between worked for 6 months in hospital.. absolutely hated night shifts.. and had already made up my mind on taking physiology.. but couldn’t perform well in exam. Is there any chance of getting good clg for md physio. With 90k rank sir?

@@r.s3201 If you want to prepare during the residency years, then either of the branches is same. 9 to 4 types. During that time, you can prepare, and even beyond 4 pm. So, purely from preparation (studies) point of view, they are not different. If you expect the UPSC selection, you might prefer pharmac. You will gain a lot of knowledge regarding drugs, the pharma industry, etc; it might help later.

That depends on college. In govt colleges, yes. In pvt colleges, it differs from college to college.
