I’m currently trying to cancel and it won’t let me, settings-membership and shows my basic plan but there’s nothing there for me to click on cancel like all the directions say to do 😡
That would be logical, I have a feeling it's the same thing as old school cable, where the content producers say if you want the channels people watch, then you gotta take the crap channels in a bundle, or get nothing, and if they don't take the packge, then the customers complain why don't you have such, and such channel?
Here’s the thing, they can’t dump those channels which is why the Fubo lawsuit is so important for consumers. Fubo is suing so that TV providers can not be forced into carrying channels people don’t want.

Still no where close to the price of cable. Standalone cable TV with the same channels in my area was $135/mo for 2 TVs with basic DVR. This was back in 2022
RUclips TV going to see the first time losing many subscribers. A $10/month hike is ridiculous. Those fees from Cable companies, is it not the same for RUclips TV and other Streaming Live services as well (such as: Local TV, Sports fee, HD fees)?
At this time, RUclips TV and Hulu don't charge a local broadcast fee or an RSN sports fee). The price that they advertise is the price you pay (+ tax and any add-ons that you choose). Spectrum will advertise say, $115 for Signature, but then you get nailed with a local retransmission fee, an RSN fee and equipment fees that aren't disclosed until you get deeper into the process. Not sure, but I think Fubo hits you with the RSN fee.
That’s when I bailed. And now it’s doubled from that and it’s not going to stop. I just don’t care. Half the country seems to have spending problems but I’m going to retire early.

Finding out at least on my end the picture quality is much clearer on Sling. After all said and done I will pay about half of what RUclips TV would have been with their price increase with Sling. I don't have RUclips TV, but I do have Sling Orange and when they announced their upcoming price hike I immediately canceled my subscription. I 've had enough of these price hikes when these companies and their CEOs are reporting record profits!
What amazes me is that they know the majority of their customers will just take it and pay the increase. Even if a small percentage cancel they will still be making money on the increase in fees.

They’ve become a cable tv provider essentially, bundling too much. It is too expensive for what I actually watch. It was too already too much before this price increase.
Streaming companies are doing the same thing satellite companies did to their existing customers. I got into satellite for $19 a month. I got out of satellite when it got to $127 a month for the same package I had at $19 a month. Satellite TV became terminal. All technologies eventually become obsolete. At some price point, customers leave what they have been using and try something different.

I have never watched reality shows and no longer watch any sports (too politiical now) so I really only use YTTV for about 3 stations. I fpound out I can get Charge! in my browser and I have FrndlyTV so that has many of the stations. That leaves only ID TV on YTTV. It is not worth the $88 I pay now and surely not $98 in January for one station. YTTV has ads so I moved to FAST apps 99% of the time. So 2 years ago I left cable. Now I think I'll leave YTTV. Mostly business channels. Now trying Sling out for $20 and the Business package for free for the first month. Have noticed the picture quality seems to be clearer on Sling. Have an indoor antenna (over 50 channels including local channels) so,I am set. Cheers!

I had it in 2019 when it was 50$. Later it rose to $65, then $73 which I was able to tolerate. Now the increase to $83 is too much for me, I will be cancelling in January and not be getting it next year for football season. They should have a package with just the sports channels for like $50, that's all I use it for, I don't ever watch the other 80% of the channels anyway.
Got my notice by email this AM. 13.5% hike seems too high but none of the other streaming services meet my requirements so I'm stuck. Still, it's so much better than Comcast.

I'm an existing YTTV customer. I also have a Tablo TV, which gets all my locals just fine. The only reason I keep YTTV is the unlimited DVR. Is there another live streaming service comparable to YTTV as far as the same channels (minus the locals) and unlimited DVR?
I don’t see how streaming is still cheaper than satellite and cable TV. I pay 120 a month for Starlink. And then RUclips TV and all my other streaming services that’s close to $300.Satellites and cable way cheaper.
Most people are going to have internet service anyway even they get cable tv . So the internet is not an "additional" cost for most people. Also cable tv adds is equipment rental plus a lot of other "fees" which you do not have with the streaming tv. And lastly a person only has the streaming as an obligation on a per month basis where most cable or satellite services you are locked into a 1-2 year obligation to get the better price options.
You can thank ESPN (Disney) for this. ESPN charges companies $9.42 per subscriber per month. Not surprised that RUclips TV and Hulu are forced to increase their pricing to compensate for paying them more.

RUclips already has far too many commercials on their platform. They are about to lose many people. I don't like regular TV and don't even want it in my home, but individual content creator's channels have a load of commercials, now. It's nearly unwatchable. I find I'm watching more and more content on other platforms. That said, where else are you guys? I like seeing your content, but RUclips is near losing me because their biases. commercials and censorshop. You should do a video on where else we can find you. I like watching normal people sharing their lives, and don't mind a commercial every 5 minutes or so, but RUclips is putting 3 and 4 commercials on a video. If they keep it up. I'll find other things to watch or do. Many commercials are simply annoying.

So I understand things go up at the same time with Google having so much control of so many different networks and apps and so much stuff they can’t control the price going up this much they have so much to offer and so much they can take away Google should use their power to try to keep their prices lower I understand that they have probably tried, but I feel like they’re not doing everything they can to keep their prices lower going up to 82 from 72 $10 difference is pretty insane. RUclips does have some of the best quality probably the best quality life streaming service out there to be honest But at the same time it’s a little crazy to go up $10 now if this was a five dollar jump.
