      Only take what you need. Remember, you can buy undies, shirts, and blouses. I purchased a Jumper In Ireland great Item for 5 Euros. The Salvation Shop or Charity shop needed long sleeve shirts for the Isle of Sky purchased 2 at the charity shop, hand-washed them and dumped them before going home

    • @PassportProfficial
      @PassportProfficial  Month ago +11

      Thanks for your comment! In some airports, security rules can be a bit different-sometimes large coats are allowed through the scanner without removal, especially if there are additional checks. But you're right, many airports do ask you to take off big coats for faster and clearer screening. Hope this helps clear things up!

      People can sew things into the coat, if they see someone with a very big coat they get immediately cautious...what I found weird was that I had an open bottle of water and couldn't take it on the plane - they confiscated it.🥴

    I used to work for Delta, JetBlue and Frontier , I worked at RDU for over 15 years. The way that people get bumped because of an overbooked flight, it goes by WHEN you check in! The last one who checks in are the ones who get bumped . They pull the checked in passenger log . The last are the first to be bumped ALWAYS check in EARLY!

      Always check in 3 hours early. You need to get through TSA, walking to the gate ect... We always overbook due to no shows , we can have up to 5% of no shows most of the time , however, we also have everyone to show up. So always check in up to 3 hours early. If you do , you'll have a 99.9% chance of getting on your flight. Happy traveling.

    Show me where baggage weight is really an issue, when you're siting next to a person who's clearly twice your weight and hogging the leg space meant for yourself.
    They'll rip you for a 1kg weight breach with your carry-on but say nothing about the people taking up 1.5 seats next to you

    • @emilynordt153
      @emilynordt153 5 days ago

      There is a weight capacity on overhead bins, I don't know if that factors in, for under plane of it is above a certain weight it needs to be marked as heavy because it is then a two person lift. Other than that it is just airlines setting a fee if above a certain weight. And they do need weights or approximations for calculations

    • @annesalfi3649
      @annesalfi3649 2 days ago

      I regularly travel on a tiny airline. 8 seater planes. At check-in I am asked my weight, and my carry-on and checked bag are weighed. Be😮cause they have safety weight restrictions.
      Bullying heavy people isn't fare. You shouldn't charge more, just like skinny people don't get a discount because they weigh less.

      I realize that dressing in layers may be one reason they always seem to check me. (Airports, disney) The thing is, i'm always cold. I may be wearing two or more layers in 100° heat or long sleeves. I can't imagine putting myself through the misery of flying anymore. It would have to be really important.

    • @ameliagfawkes512
      @ameliagfawkes512 Month ago +7

      It's now a joke in my family that it's always me - the smallest, not young, red hair (I think that has a lot to do with it) - who is "randomly selected" (metal detector going off with no metal on me at all) for pat down or scanner. I refuse the scanner - you absolutely can - I know how dangerous they are and remember when dirty grunts were sitting in the office watching those who complied virtually naked in the backscatter machines - yeah - a perfect job for a pervert and as for the "pat downs" - in another place that would be classed as sexual assault. Comply, but never, ever "consent" to anything. I get very travel sick anyway and the way I'm treated when I'm faint and weak after a flight is truly disgusting - their "observations" of passengers has long since been proven to be a crock - they cannot tell who the criminals are just by looking at them or if they look unsteady and are being helped by their husband or child after a flight where they almost or did throw up multiple times. I, too, am cold in these places, but I don't think having layers is a deciding factor. I think they just try to make you think they "know something", but psychology is NOT a science - it's "opinion" and most of them have no clue. The real reason for doing all of this unlawful stuff to passengers is to make them fearful and compliant. I'm law-abiding, but "compliant" - eh, no! The people working in airports are not the cleverest on the planet. Don't let this nonsense make you think they are. Most of the stuff we've suffered in the last quarter of a century is all due to the psy-op of 9/11 - done specifically to bring in Draconian legislation and crack down on our freedoms. I've worked in an airport and I know for certain that it was never like this before. The real criminals are the Committee of 300. They're the ones who should be feeling the long arm of the law on their shoulders. Never too late to shut them down and throw them in jail.

      Invasion of privacy is an understatement. The body scanner pictures in this video are very misleading. The real ones don't look like that at all.
      There's a reason people call them "naked body scanners". The airport employees are looking at your naked body. Every little detail.

    According to the Security expert, Bruce Schneier, the TSA is “Security theater “not necessary at all, since the cockpit doors have been reinforced and passengers now know that that they can fight fight back against against anything suspicious. All this money is being being wasted for appearances.

    The last time I flew from Canada to England, my bag was scanned several times as I waited. I was confused. I had a curling iron which they were suspicious of. @RobertaShagamParenting If you read the "rules", tiny scissors shouldn't be a problem. If they really wanted to eradicate "weapons" on a flight they'd cut everyone's hands off. Thankfully, we haven't quite reached that point - yet. There are a lot of people out there that can do a lot of damage without carrying anything extra, which just makes the "rules" look even more ridiculous. Peanuts on flights could kill my son, but I'm unsure whether they've actually banned those across all airlines. However, his, hopefully, life-saving Epi-Pens cause them massive consternation. We are dealing with morons.

    I remember once coming back from New York, I was almost to the exit door and there’s a police officer that always stands there and tries to interact with people and he approached me as I was walking and he said to me oh you look very familiar. Where are you coming from? Where are you going? And I says you’re familiar. You’re always standing here trying to question peoplei said I don’t have time for a conversation and I walked out of the building. Never let them start a conversation with you.

    • @ameliagfawkes512
      @ameliagfawkes512 Month ago +7

      Never speak to the Police. Surely everyone knows that by now. I made that mistake trying to help them at the very beginning of the Plandemic. Next thing I knew they were demanding my name, etc - possibly thinking they could fine me or, even, arrest me for doing absolutely nothing illegal. They were very disappointed when they discovered I was less than a couple of hundred yards from my home (when there were ridiculous 5 mile limits). I pointed out they weren't wearing muzzles in their car. The bloke smirked and made some inane comment about risking life and limb for the public good. Uh-huh - knowing a Plandemic is all nonsense and they're at no risk whilst fining and harassing members of the public did no good for public relations whatsoever. They only have themselves to blame that the public hates them. Anyway, lesson learned. If they were on fire, as the rather rough saying goes, I wouldn't spit on them (hose them down or throw a bucket of water on them). God forgive me, but at present, I'd be too worried they'd then arrest me for assault.

      When is the last time TSA busted someone who had a bomb strapped to their body? When is the last time TSA busted someone who had a bomb in their shoe? When is the last time TSA busted someone who was intentionally, not unintentionally, trying to sneak a deadly weapon through the screening? When is the last time a non-muslim hijacked a US airliner? 1980s, a disgruntled PSA employee.
      TSA is a sham designed to harass and intimidate law abiding people. This is what happens when they have the majority believing 9/11 was a terrorist attack and not an inside job. You cant take liquids through TSA security, but you can obtain liquids in the secured area? Make that make sense. Besides the mounting evidence that suggests 9/11 was an inside job, what convinced me was the 5th plane that never made it airborne on 9/11. If you haven't seen the video, search for it on RUclips. This may convince you that it was an inside job. It convinced me.

That way if for some reason my suitcase does happen to be overweight then I know I can take one of the smaller cubes out and that will shed a pound or two out of my check luggage. Also sometimes rearranging the items in your suitcase can affect the weight. For example if you put all of your shoes at the bottom end of the suitcase where the wheels are it can shift all the weight and affect the final weight Believe It or Not whereas if you spread out the heavy items it changes the weight even a slightly as a pound or two

    Why does cash raise flags when cash is legal tender, what's the issue paying cash for something at airports when $ is legit?
    It's irritating knowing that in this day n age we are all being tracked for everything we do, say, look like, feel etc
    Banks and Govts wanna know what we spend our $ on so, they prefer that our spending habits are done electronic
    to make tracking easier for them but, it feels like an invasion of privacy. I work for cash not for plastic so, until the Govt pulls
    cash out of use, I'm gonna keep using it. Airports are just to f***n nosy esp for domestic flights in small countries like mine.
    Better to take a bus or train without all the hassle, you just need to put time aside for it🙃

    The worst thing that you can do when flying is check your luggage. What airports and airlines refuse to admit is that nine out of ten instances of "lost luggage" is actually airport personnel tearing apart any luggage that looks like it might contain valuables and discarding the remains. With that said if you must fly (which I rarely ever do) just bring a small carry-on or backpack and avoid the luggage check-in scam all together.

    Checked luggage feels “done” once you hand it over, but it’s not. Bags get opened and inspected all the time if something looks dense or unusual on the scan. Non-TSA locks getting cut off is more common than travelers think. TSA lock was also cut down once travelling from Toronto to New Delhi. Probably lock was jammed and they couldn't open it with key...and they don't waste a single second.

      I can imagine. I get sick travelling. After a trip on the "tilting" train in the UK, when I managed not to be sick on the train itself, I had to stop the taxi driver afterwards to get out and throw up. They must think I'm drunk or on drugs when I come off a flight, often being propped up by a member of the family. It takes a while for my balance to right itself (must be an inner ear problem). In the past I've been horribly, horribly, horribly sick and they still treat you very badly. Now I use an over-the-counter that seems to work, but I've yet to try it on a flight. Not sure if being a little "spaced" is worse when you have to deal with these people. Next time I'm going to carry a sign saying, "I'm Travel Sick - Not Drunk or On Drugs!" going through the airport for all the idiots behind the screens. Otherwise, when I'm not travelling, I am 100% fine. I feel it may actually be down to human prejudice or picking on people if they think they can get away with it - like all bullies do. I think they rarely find anyone with bad intentions. It's all about catching people out "not following the rules" set by an agency and much like the Plandemic, with no rhyme or reason to them. The biggest threat we're up against are the millions and millions of people who do everything they're told without question. This is where our pathetic indoctrination system called "schooling" has gotten us. People are definitely a lot dumber than they once were.

    I used to enjoy traveling. Now I dread it. They changed my itinerary, adding a 24 hour lay over in a foreign country. Don't use Priceline. They can't seem to find a solution to that problem, even tho they tell you to call and do so. I've called numerous times and was told three times that they refunded my money. It's been a month, no refund. Plus they keep $300 service charge.

    Why do people fly when they can drive. Drive gasoline powered vehicles only. Less surveillance. Guns save lives!

      I tried driving to Jamaica once, but the gasoline engine flooded. I had to shoot it with my gun.

    I have a knee replacement which is scanned and causes a pat down.

      Thank you for your comment! Yes, knee replacements can sometimes set off scanners and lead to a pat down at security checks. It's a good idea to carry your medical implant card or a doctor's note to help explain your situation. Stay safe and take care!

      I always advise security that I have a hip and knee replacement before actual screening. I also advise them of any prescriptions which are liquid or require a syringe. Very rarely am I put through unnecessary pat downs. As well, I wear no metal jewelry or belt buckles. Anticipate what might trigger attention and be proactive!

      @PassportProfficialmany airports no longer accept medical cards notifying of implants or artificial joints, due to the possibility of forgeries. Even if my husband tells security that he has 2 prosthetic knees and wears shorts so that his knee surgical scars are clearly visible, he is still pulled aside.
