casual beatboxer watchers like inertias style because its simple, much more like a beat from a real song. They don’t understand what sounds and patterns are hard to do, bookies rounds will just sound like abunch of random noises.
yeah, i think the best example of this is just getting to know someone who plays bass guitar, they will notice and point out things nearly everyone elses brain and ears just wont register because 1: theyre specifically looking and listening for it, 2: they know first hand how much skill or creativity it takes, and 3: they know how much it provides to the overall sound or vibe of a song or a section . same thing goes drummers and vocalists and damn near every profession u can think of even outside of music

When you are judging beatbox battles, how do you balance technical ability vs the ability to craft a song/set? Sometimes beatboxes who are very skilled technique wise don't sound enjoyable to listen to. Other times, a set I really vibe to is much too simple to win a battle. It feels like you have to smash the two together when in other judged sports, like gymnastics or ice skating, technical skill and aesthetics are judged separately.

I disagree on your catchy flow statement, his flow was very catchy! But the thing is, it's catchy for as much as drums can be catchy, since that was most of his beatboxing. Honestly, King Inertia won.. but I wanted Bookie Blanco to win so bad, since his first round was so GODLY. He just needs to a hit a two punch like King Intertia did, easy way to climb in the tournament :)
Stop it, Dan, I'd listen to you yap all day. 😂
Are you gonna do all the battles?
yeah i gotta go with bookie. even as i new/learning beatboxer, just when im bored i can do some decent bass line and harmony combos
what i find to be most difficult and skillful is what bookie is doing with those more intricate combos. i just dont like the when inertia uses the transformer sounds.
makes me want to plug my ears like bookie was doing lol
i want a zer0 bookie drumoff
Next Improver!!
The first time I saw this battle, I thought bokie was the winner, very surprising, inertia is good but bokie is surprising & nice to hear
Something can be crazy complex but does it make them room bounce?
Cant lie the yappage was high 😂
