    I wish that I still had mine! Great bike that was used pretty well before I got it but never let me down as a dumb kid trying to figure out life! Lol

    Folks, Ive been rebuilding and racing 2 strokes for 35 years. Just a tip for all who are interested, when pulling your jug, never let the rod and piston slam down on the case, stuff a clean shop rag around the connecting rod to prevent cracking or other damage, yes they are stout, but its good practice for rebuilding. 😉😉😉

    Nice job, bike sounds good. I just picked up a 1977 PE250 and can’t wait to go through it so I can start riding it. It’s about 90% complete. Needs a top end, seals and carby kit.

    Why not pull the cylinder to clean the piston crown? That way you don't send carbon down into the ring-to-piston surface and ring groove.....
