My resolutions: - Quit smoking once and for all - Lose weight (like 15 Kg - 33 lbs) - This goes with the previous one but eat healthier and drink more water - Get a stable job, if this one goes through fix my mouth - Write and direct at least 2 short films
My main 2017 goal is to put myself first, the majority of my life I've been living how others want me to live. I'm now ready to start living MY life! Happy New Year!!
When you go on that holiday, why not be old school and being one of those disposable cameras? We'd love to see photos of your 'Internet free holiday' and with a disposable camera you can't see them until you get back! If could be a fun video! Or do you want a holiday without any 'unnecessary' technology?
I have ever envisaged I can vanish for dozens of days without cellphone or network. Spend a primitive life in an unknown island, fishing to survive. The less possess, the more cherish!
It is great how honest Hannah is about life goals and dating. It makes her videos feel like a conversation with a friend who is also trying to figure life out.
Vintage shopping is amazing! I've found a lot of beautiful dresses. It might sometimes take a while to find ones that fit that you like, but I find that it's worth it - also because I have a similar figure to yours which means that modern and new clothes that fit are hard to find. I, personally, have found two full length gowns, lots of glittery shorter dresses and just all-around wonderful clothes. I really like vintage shopping and it's less of a strain on the environment as well as it being cheaper. There's a story behind the clothes. It's just all around great
ethical shopping tips: ebay very often have some great fancy dresses and at least your not putting money in the fast fashion wallet. also, for fancier events you could try going to a local university or fashion school and ask a young designer to make you a dress. obviously you could go to any seamstress and get a dress made, but students can always do with the support. vintage shops are the best. pop boutique in liverpool is always a favourite of mine. i think there are other ones (leeds maybe?) too! they always have some lovely fancy and unusual things!
a lot of people on depop are scammers unfortunately for instance my sister was scammed and when she reported it to the police they told her many of the people on there have been kicked off of other sites.
+20bstar really? That's so bad :( I've bought from there quite a few times and it's always been okay! I suppose it's the same with every site - you've just got to have your wits about you!
LOVE YOU HANNAH! My New Years Resolutions: 1. to have more patience (!) 2. LESS procrastination 3. dare something 4. Last but not least be more positive! 😊
I love this kinds of resolutions/ goals. I personally hate a lot of resolutions because I feel like they are often people kinda going hard on themselves but I feel like something like this is something I could actually see myself doing.
I spent hours and hours binge watching your videos yesterday. I am a Muslim but really enjoyed your Chanukah videos, learn't a lot about your culture/religion. Plus love your hormone diaries!
i`m not sure how it worked but after watching this video i feel really inspired and positive which hasn`t happened to me in a long time. thank you Hannah, you are amazing
new years resolutions: - keep doing sports regularly - study different countries - read before you go to bed (especially when you feel stressed) - plan your day/ time - don't binge watch/ only watch max. 4 episodes per day (hhaahahah I'm such an addict) - study more efficient and stress less - get a social life and quit looking at you're phone as an escape - adding to the last one: don't take you're phone everywhere you go! - be more concious (meditation or yoga could help!) - visit your siblings more often - help your mum more often - do your bed (at least on the weekends) - go out and take a walk and discover cool places nearby - go back to a balanced diet IT'S SO MUCH!!!! AND THE LIST COULD GO ON AND ON arggggg
I'm setting myself monthly goals this year. January is mostly about going for what I want (apply for at least a job a week and actually go on a date with the guy I've been talking to) so wish me luck! and good luck to you!
love how u wanna do the 50 book challenge, meanwhile one of my resolutions (or goals) is to read all the books on my shelf. i have 16 books on my shelf.
Yes! Ethical clothing is definitely one to become a remain as a priority! I'm so passionate for that so it's really exciting to see someone with an audience making the point that actually, we do need to change the way we buy and think about the people who make our things. Happy new year! xx
If you want to see a good show the play that goes wrong is so funny the entire way through and the small venue is such a great change from some of the bigger shows
I've just known you with this video but I love the vibration you transmit. You seem like a very positive and mature person, like a person who you can talk to. Happy new year!
Elise Bauman is a Canadian actress, and she always goes to red carpet events etc in clothes from charity shops, or old skirts that she's vamped up. She'll probably be good to use as inspiration when changing up your wardrobe!
my new years resolution is to take care of my body. i'm gonna start writing down everything i eat so that i'm more conscious of what i eat and the way i feel when i eat certain foods.
Not really one for resolutions or goals, and with the exception of the typical get fitter goal, I didn't really put much thought into it...but this morning had an epiphany of something along the lines of 'Don't let other people affect my happiness'. Which sounds awfully deep, but I often find other people's decisions affect what I do too much, and I can let it affect me negatively. We'll see how long that lasts! Happy new year...much love!
Okay so I'm inspired and now I'm going to write myself a list of goals/resolutions for 2017. I let myself get caught up with school and drama in 2016 so this year I'm going to read, and write and try to film a short film. Good luck Hannah!
Hi Hannah, Happy New Year! I discovered your channel yesterday and I enjoy watching your videos so far. My resolutions for 2017: getting fit again, love more (in general), getting a job I want and move to a foreign country for good.
love your resolutions and how you don't put pressure on yourself. I love how close to are to yourself, how well you know yourself, how honest you are with yourself and with us. you seem really smart and confident. keep being yourself Hannah, I think you're my fave RUclipsr bc you seem quite wise 0:-)
I really love the points about cruelty free & ethical products and clothing. Definitely something I want to challenge myself to start and pay attention to this year too.
When it comes to new years resolutions I usually go for what frame of mind/phrase i want to live by that year rather then specific goals. For example last year was "I'm a grown woman, I can do whatever I want" (cheers beyonce!) I had the frame of mind that the only person stopping me do what I want is me. I know thats an obvious statement but for me it was an epiphany. So last year I did lots of little and big things that i had always wanted to do but thought that it was stuff other people did and not me..if that makes sense. Over christmas me and my bf finally moved out of his mum and dads after 3 years of living there, which i'm just so relieved about. I'm still searching for what i want to live by this year but it's going to be to do with feeling sexy and more romance (its just so awkward living at parents) and doing what makes me feel good and like me, cause i have lost my identity over the past 3 years and kept myself very vanilla and to myself to keep the living sitch easy. Good luck Hannah with your resolutions and good luck everyone else, especially those who are fighting some big challenges this year, i'm really rooting for ya!!
Mine are - Accept myself for who I am (cheesy I know but if I don't I might have a mental breakdown😂) - Drink more water. - Actually USE my gym membership. - Say yes more often. - READ MORE (Maybe not 50 but I'll give it a go😂) - Stick out my counselling because it will help me. - (Kind of relates to the previous one) Accept people's help. Loved this video Hannah! I hope you can reach your goals xxxx
I did get a kiss on New Years. It was my first one ever and it was with a girl and I liked it. It wasn't at midnight but we did it and I feel great. I have a couple of "resolutions". My main resolution is to take better care of myself physically, mentally, emotionally etc. Another thing is to get out more whether it's for physical stuff, socially, etc. Those are a couple of things that I have for 2017!! Happy New Year Hannah!!!
You've done so well uploading a variety of interesting informative videos this vlognukkah Hannah! They've really helped me, including this one and its umpiring to see you create realistic and specific goals for yourself! Best of luck and can't wait to see you more in the new year!
Thanks a lot for the video! I never usually make new years resolutions, but there are so many things I've always wanted to do (but never got round to), and you've inspired me to write them down and finally attempt them this year!
Whoo Hannah I'm so happy you're planning on becoming an ethical clothes consumer! If you're ever about to slip up, watch The True Cost. It's a great documentary that scared me away from H&M forever
My resolutions at the moment are: Read one book a week Stay vegan! Maintain an A average through my masters degree (A+ would be nice but perhaps unrealistic) Stop buying little things I don't need, and get rid of things that are cluttering up my life I'm sure I will make more along the way but I decided to start with the most important things first :)
my resolutions are to show more gratitude, be happier in my own skin, be more creative (e.g. get better at playing the guitar, write some more songs and upload on here) and read 30 books :)
I love your way of looking at resolutions! It seems like a healthy way of working towards the things you want without any of that weird baggage that people create around resolutions =D
Hannah, I'm so grateful I discovered your corner of the internet this past year. Your videos are hilarious yet educational and inspiring. I love that we have such similar opinions on many topics but you have such a fresh point of view. You truly are an inspiration. P.s. Sorry this comment is extremely sappy haha
I just discovered your channel in the past week and I love your content! Anyways I have been thinking about this for a while but after watching your videos I am feeling inspired to finally start my own RUclips Channel!! thanks for being awesome.
Hey, with regards to you wanting to live a more cruelty free lifestyle, I think going vegan would be such a great addition to that resolution! Perhaps you can watch cowspiracy, earthlings or Phillip Wollen's debate called "Why animals should be off the menu"
would recommend the 'give people a chance' thing, me and my bf had the most awkward first 'date' ever (we were kinda friends but kinda had a romantic vibe) and we've both since said that that day basically confirmed that there was no spark, but we kept meeting up and have now been together for almost 18 months and i couldn't be happier!
I went to the Edinburgh Fringe festival this- no, LAST year and had the best time, such a great place to be and I got the honour of performing! I hope to be going again this year with my theatre group.
Great goals/resolutions!! I have taken up the mantle of the 52 books this year... so will see how that goes. Also learning 10 new skills in 2017 including things like Pogo Stick, Hula-Hoop, Parkour... just things that are physically active and expand the knowledge of my own body. Looking forward to seeing your year!
I'm so happy you're shopping in charity shops more. I volunteer in my local Cancer Research, and most of the clothes that are donated look new and are not actually old-fashioned like people imagine. Plus it's quite fun to hunt through stuff and find an absolute gem (like that wonderful top!) xxx
I downloaded OkCupid & Tinder only today. I don't know what made me decide that all of a sudden but I feel like it's an experience I need to try and push myself through to get back to being a better person that I thought I was becoming last year
I have four broad resolutions that I am going to do monthly challenges for to keep things fresh and interesting!! Fitness, finances, reading and miscellaneous!
All of these are great goals/resolutions! I definitely want to read a lot more this year. I used to read tons of books in a year, but haven't read much because of college taking up a lot of my time. And when I did have free time, I just wanted to veg out to Netflix. SO! Goal: less Netflix, more books :) One other goal I have is posting more regularly, or at least more often on my channel. Again, college cut into my time and I often didn't have motivation or time to do anything. Now that I'm looking for a job, I'm hoping that I'll have more time/motivation to actually do more!
I just started university after putting it off for 4 years, so my resolutions are to: 1. Prioritise my education (go to the lectures, read the material, do all the assignments, etc.) i.e. not do the 50 books challenge. 2. Manage my economy and not having to rely on my parents. 3. Taking care of my mental health. 4. Just push through this year. By this time 2018 I will hopefully have finished all of my mandatory uni courses and can start taking all the fun and interesting courses.
I'm gonna improve my French (by reading more French books/consuming more French media etc.), learn German and try and meet new people and say yes in more social situations.
My resolutions: 1. Go to bed earlier. I'm going back in 5 minute chunks but I always eventually want to go to sleep.for half nine. 2. Get up earlier. I have to leave for college at 7am so I want to wake up at 5:15am eventually so I can watch the news and have breakfast and not rush. Again, 5 minute chunks. 3. Do work the day I get it. My studies infect my evenings and weekends, but my aim is to give myself one day off a week.
I would love to see a comedy TV show you wrote Hannah! I feel like those shows (Broad City, Girls, Fleabag etc) are where comedy is going for college-ish aged people and they are so important! I think you would be great at it
when u go on ur holiday try going somewhere where ur cellular carrier doesn't cover, then u don't even have a choice but to have a good time and chill ^^. got to do that recently and it was amazing. the phone becomes nothing but a camera :)
First of all: Happy New Year Hannah! I really like your videos :) My main resolution/goal for 2017 is to change/work on my lack of self-confidence, because that is something, which is bothering me for quite a while now... but i've never found the "courage" to do something about it... hopefully i'll be able change that :D and by the way, greetings from Germany :)
Hannah, seriously, don't even with that last one, my auntie cornered me at midnight as 2016 turned into 2017 to give me an existential crisis about coming up with a life pan/business plan...I'm going to be in the same boat this year I think 😬
just a quick word of advice from a pharmacologist, don't take paracetamol for a hangover, it makes the liver have to work harder and continues to deplete the chemical that your body needs to get rid of the hangover in the first place. If you need something for your hangovers, go for ibuprofen, it makes your liver feel happier and you'll get over the hangover better!! Good luck for the resolutions Hannah
I have got quite a few resolutions which I hope to achieve. In no particular order they are: 1. Stop swearing, any swearing I do and I will put 50p in a tub and give to the homeless. 2. Drink more water and cut down on the coffee. 3. Get in to a regular routine in getting up at 6 and hitting the gym hard before work. 4. Following on from 3, various gym goals. 5. Try online dating. 6. Pass my driving test and get a car (started last year). 7. Try to keep in contact with people I like.
My resolutions:
- Quit smoking once and for all
- Lose weight (like 15 Kg - 33 lbs)
- This goes with the previous one but eat healthier and drink more water
- Get a stable job, if this one goes through fix my mouth
- Write and direct at least 2 short films
TitoRag I wish you the best!
Thank you so much!!
Good luck!
Good luck!:)
Good luck !
Hannah your voice is so comforting! (Anyone else agree?) 😊
My main 2017 goal is to put myself first, the majority of my life I've been living how others want me to live. I'm now ready to start living MY life!
Happy New Year!!

ooooh disposable cameras or even some fuji instax would be cool
I have ever envisaged I can vanish for dozens of days without cellphone or network. Spend a primitive life in an unknown island, fishing to survive. The less possess, the more cherish!
It is great how honest Hannah is about life goals and dating. It makes her videos feel like a conversation with a friend who is also trying to figure life out.
Good luck with all your resolutions for the new year Hannah!
YAY for cruelty-free beauty and ethical/sustainable fashion goals!! Would love to hear about your experience and the products you find!
Vintage shopping is amazing! I've found a lot of beautiful dresses. I really like vintage shopping and it's less of a strain on the environment as well as it being cheaper. There's a story behind the clothes. It's just all around great
As far as being cruelty free- a girl called Rowan Ellis has a video called "The truth about cruelty free makeup" that I think everyone should watch.
i feel like you'd fit the vibe in New York really well!!
ethical shopping tips: ebay very often have some great fancy dresses and at least your not putting money in the fast fashion wallet. also, for fancier events you could try going to a local university or fashion school and ask a young designer to make you a dress. obviously you could go to any seamstress and get a dress made, but students can always do with the support. vintage shops are the best. pop boutique in liverpool is always a favourite of mine. i think there are other ones (leeds maybe?) too! they always have some lovely fancy and unusual things!
This is such a lovely idea, plus that student would then get visibility from the photos etc of their creations being worn at big events!
That's a great idea!!
Depop too! It's an app specifically for buying and selling clothes!
a lot of people on depop are scammers unfortunately for instance my sister was scammed and when she reported it to the police they told her many of the people on there have been kicked off of other sites.
+20bstar really? That's so bad :( I've bought from there quite a few times and it's always been okay! I suppose it's the same with every site - you've just got to have your wits about you!
LOVE YOU HANNAH! My New Years Resolutions:
1. to have more patience (!)

Seriously loving how much you're posting at the moment ❤
i`m not sure how it worked but after watching this video i feel really inspired and positive which hasn`t happened to me in a long time. thank you Hannah, you are amazing
new years resolutions:
- keep doing sports regularly
- study different countries
- read before you go to bed (especially when you feel stressed)
- plan your day/ time
- don't binge watch/ only watch max. 4 episodes per day (hhaahahah I'm such an addict)

- adding to the last one: don't take you're phone everywhere you go!
- be more concious (meditation or yoga could help!)

- help your mum more often
- do your bed (at least on the weekends)
- go out and take a walk and discover cool places nearby

love how u wanna do the 50 book challenge, meanwhile one of my resolutions (or goals) is to read all the books on my shelf.
i have 16 books on my shelf.
feel ya so much! I could never do 50 and I don't even want to haha (:
rarefiction omg I have over 400 (over half of them unread). I've barely made a dent!
I have the same goal for the year. Last year I had hoped to finish all the series I've started reading. I made a decent dent, but nowhere near done.
2much youtube have only read 10 of 15 books last year
You can do it! 16 is better than nothing!!! I wanted to read 60 books in 2016 I got to 53 so close!!!
Yes! Ethical clothing is definitely one to become a remain as a priority! I'm so passionate for that so it's really exciting to see someone with an audience making the point that actually, we do need to change the way we buy and think about the people who make our things. Happy new year! xx

Just thought I'd let you know that it was on bbc1 yesterday so it should be on iplayer x
Hannah Witton it's fantastic it's a must watch
I've just known you with this video but I love the vibration you transmit. You seem like a very positive and mature person, like a person who you can talk to.
Happy new year!

A lot of these resolutions/goals of yours really speak to me too, I think this is a great perspective to begin a new year with :)
videos like this always inspire me, especially your videos! i wish for 2017 to be a year of doing things and working hard, not just dreaming x
my new years resolution is to take care of my body. i'm gonna start writing down everything i eat so that i'm more conscious of what i eat and the way i feel when i eat certain foods.

Aw I loved your Vlognukah!! ngl will miss all the Hannah
I always stick to a simple new year resolution and that's: Fitter, Happier, More Productive.

Yay - I love your resolutions! Especially that you want to switch to fair fashion! Thats great :) x
I really love the points about cruelty free & ethical products and clothing. Definitely something I want to challenge myself to start and pay attention to this year too.
This video has put me in a good mood, thanks Hannah! x

Ah Hannah you should for sure move to New York! I have so many bookstore/coffee shop recs when you're ready xx
Mine are
- Accept myself for who I am (cheesy I know but if I don't I might have a mental breakdown😂)
- Drink more water.
- Actually USE my gym membership.
- Say yes more often.
- READ MORE (Maybe not 50 but I'll give it a go😂)
- Stick out my counselling because it will help me.
- (Kind of relates to the previous one) Accept people's help.
Loved this video Hannah! I hope you can reach your goals xxxx
Good luck Hannah with your 10 New Year's resolutions. And a very Happy New Year.
I did get a kiss on New Years. It was my first one ever and it was with a girl and I liked it. It wasn't at midnight but we did it and I feel great. I have a couple of "resolutions". Stay vegan!

A good cabin vacation, with nothing but books, does sound awfully nice.

I'd love to see the response to the message at the start

That internet-free holiday sounds quite relaxing
2017 is gonna be the year. Everyone is fighting back against the shit storm of 2016. Cmon guys we can do this
yes hannah charity shops are the bomb , i don't shop any where else for clothes now it's so fun as well xxx
Great goals/resolutions!! I have taken up the mantle of the 52 books this year... so will see how that goes. Also learning 10 new skills in 2017 including things like Pogo Stick, Hula-Hoop, Parkour... just things that are physically active and expand the knowledge of my own body.

The fifty book challenge sounds FUN!!
I literally moved to New York TODAY. It's 2 am and I can't sleep because I'm too excited. You should take the leap!
I just started university after putting it off for 4 years, so my resolutions are to:
I absolutely love your idea of total Internet free holiday...
I'm gonna improve my French (by reading more French books/consuming more French media etc.), learn German and try and meet new people and say yes in more social situations.
I love this Hannah! Great new year resulotions!
Good list of resolutions! My main one is to try to be more responsible. Happy New Year!!!
It's amusing watching this right after your Greece trip. NO INTERNET! lol
I love how you talk to the camera. You do it in a very personal way, like if you were talking to a good friend🙈🙈
Definitely do the Ed Fringe. Going for my third year this August. Also loving the lippy!
My 2017 resolutions:
learn the ukulele
read 10 books
Good luck!
Janset Nil Good luck!
Well ... 2017 is here ... just a year older and a just a little bit fatter.
Lots of resolutions let's hope they come true and wish everyone the same.
So excited for your book to come out!!
Hope you have a wonderful 2017 ❤
My resolutions:
My studies infect my evenings and weekends, but my aim is to give myself one day off a week.
your book is coming out on my birthday what a great gift
I would love to see a comedy TV show you wrote Hannah! I feel like those shows (Broad City, Girls, Fleabag etc) are where comedy is going for college-ish aged people and they are so important! I think you would be great at it
when u go on ur holiday try going somewhere where ur cellular carrier doesn't cover, then u don't even have a choice but to have a good time and chill ^^. got to do that recently and it was amazing. the phone becomes nothing but a camera :)
This sounds brilliant! Best of luck Hannah! X
First of all: Happy New Year Hannah! I really like your videos :)
My main resolution/goal for 2017 is to change/work on my lack of self-confidence, because that is something, which is bothering me for quite a while now... but i've never found the "courage" to do something about it... hopefully i'll be able change that :D
and by the way, greetings from Germany :)
definitely read more, I have so many books piling up.
Hannah, seriously, don't even with that last one, my auntie cornered me at midnight as 2016 turned into 2017 to give me an existential crisis about coming up with a life pan/business plan...I'm going to be in the same boat this year I think 😬
***** For real though laptop club/co-work space days would be good shit 10/10 👌🏻 in 2017
just a quick word of advice from a pharmacologist, don't take paracetamol for a hangover, it makes the liver have to work harder and continues to deplete the chemical that your body needs to get rid of the hangover in the first place. If you need something for your hangovers, go for ibuprofen, it makes your liver feel happier and you'll get over the hangover better!! Good luck for the resolutions Hannah
you go business woman!! my resolution is to keep kicking ass in my mental health and my art! :) xx
I have got quite a few resolutions which I hope to achieve. In no particular order they are:
