Good video on the comparison of the BFS reels. Keep it up Charlie 👍🏻 Love your vids... especially with the big bass you catching and with Charles fishing with you.
Have 4 B.K.2's, 2 lingls, 2 zephyr, and 2 spirit fox , but just got a piscifun alloy m , which does the job even down to 2.5 grams, absolutely amazing reel.
A fun and very informative video. What you are describing here fits exactly with what I am learning as I focus more and more on BFS fishing. That is that the current better reels and rods are all very capable AND very close to each other in real world performance. I have fished with a Steez and Tatula CT usiing Chamelion spools as well as the DWU and BK2. The performance is very, very close. My favorite is the DWU but the others are just as capable in performance, but not my favorite because of factors other than actual performance. For example, I like the DWU better than the BK2 Because it is quieter. I would like the DWU even more if it had the BK2 paint, but quiet is more important to me than pretty. The same thing applies to rods. While there are significant differences in build quality and weight, all of the AliExpress rods (25 of them) with just a few exceptions, are as capable as the 3 JDM rods I own when used within their lure weight range. My preferences are not based on casting distance but overall feel, action and fish being targeted.
Exactly 💯 and what's funny is the longest casting rods and reels aren't usually my favorites as the reel either palms funny or like mentioned is louder and usually a rod is just to clunky and bulky or something
I'd been thinking about whether to get the DIY spool for my tatula ct, might just go for the DWU seeing as you say that UL casting performance is similar (in a smaller lighter package too). Would you say that the tatula with the DIY spool does better with slightly heavier lures (5g) than the DWU though? I can see that being the case due to the larger diameter spool, but it seems like it'd be more fragile than the DWU spool.
Great video! I have to agree with your choices, the zillion is great reel as is the dwu, but the new 22 aldebaran is completely in another league definitely worth it. Almost a combination of both reels. Love the descriptions of the rods, which would you say has the best hooking power? Thankfully I passed on the zepher. Unfortunately the rainy stream is even more expensive up here than what you paid for it but it definitely looks awesome.
Yes it can awesome real and if you're talking about the ultra light rod with the blue wraps kind of like a loomisinrx rod I had one of those but I don't know if it was a V2 I don't think

Probably a toss up but I'd go DWU over tatula with bfs spool
Hello) Dark Wolf and rod Zephyr)))
Nice combination)))
Thanks)))
Did you use N42 or N52 magnets for your DWU/BK2 out of curiosity?
Bass n Bonzai exploring cool fishing gear. Good shit🤨⚜️
