The dip falls/big tree area is quite stunning as well. Walking around Bakers Beach at Narawntapu is also amazing, especially for the wildlife. At Rocky Cape, walking to Anniversary Bay is also stunning, the lookout to the bay is amazing. Can't remember how long it is though. Walking on the beach from Stumpys Bay in Mount William National Park (part of Bay of Fires) is also one of my favorite memories of Tassie. Especially at sunrise or sunset.
I agree about Dip Falls - I went there last year (after I uploaded this video), and the water flow was seriously good! I've only ever visited Rocky Cape once, and it was raining, so all we did was check out the view from the lighthouse. It's been a while since I was at Stumpy's Bay (over 10 years), but I remember lying on the beach at night looking up at a clear night sky - pretty incredible!
Thanks for this. We wouldn't call ourselves hikers, but we enjoy short walks around Tassie. We've done Leven Canyon (except for the bit that links the two ends together) and the Enchanted Walk.
Good stuff! There are plenty of other short walks out there as well. I've recently revisited a few short walks too - the ranking in this video is probably not accurate anymore for me.
I used to think I liked walking until I moved to Tasmania...now, you lot LOVE walking. So for now I will start somewhere, and that is with short walks, thanks for the video :)
No worries :) If you're after a good list of short walks to try out, search for the Tasmania 60 Short Walk list. Lots of variety of walks all across the state, ranging from 5 minutes to 5 hours, and from beaches to alpine.
Yeah it was definitely considered (the thumbnail of this video is the Pine Lake walk)! I reckon I would have it as the next in line, so it only narrowly missed out. Very easy walk with access to nice alpine country.
Hi Lucas are you able to do an video on your top 5 walks (loops) 10 to 15 ks.
Many thanks .
Keep up the good work 👍👊.

So many wonderful places in Tasmania.
Nothing about that sentence is factually incorrect 😉
Might see you out there.
Yep it's certainly possible!
Interesting picks, hope to check a few more of them out at some point. Nice
Thanks! I reckon if I was making this video today, I would try to work in the Twisted Sister walk into the list. It was a superb area of forest.
Great video and interesting ranking.
Thanks! To be honest I'm still a little unsure on the rankings, despite it being a couple of days since I filmed it.
can't believe good ol gentle annie (dry) didn't get a mention ;)
😢
Thoughts on the pine lake walk
