Really sorry for late reply. It's really hard to keep up with everything rn. But I use Fimo and Premo mostly. And no The face isn't very fragile if baked properly. And it is secured on doll so unless it falls or used roughly, it should be fine.
@@Craftypinkpanda Thank you so much for your reply I appreciate it. I used fimo for a project before and it cracked a bit that's why I am concerned, maybe I didn't bake it at the right temperature. Which temperature do you reccomend the oven to be and for how long?
@@marikosusie No prblem☺️I am happy to help. I go with the temperature suggested on the packing😊 but oven thermometer helps a lot (to get right temperature) , and so is clay conditioning. A well conditioned clay makes a huge difference. If you are making sculptures then I recommend you use armature of tin foil. And backing time varies too. I bake my pieces for 1.5 hours at least.
@@Craftypinkpanda oh really you bake them for an hour? Then you must put your oven to a very low heat, I've only ever left my sculpts for 20 minutes in the oven. I see about the conditioning, aww thank you so much for the advice, it's really helpful 😁
U need to bake at the temperature on pkg and yes, most of us will bake an hour or longer. As long as the temperature u bake at is correct u can literally leave it in there baking all day without it burning 😅 just be sure u have a seperate thermometer in there bc oven temperatures are quite often not calibrated correctly 😁 For example, I use Premo mostly.. pkg says bake at 275°F for 30 min for every 1/4" thickness.. I do 275 for one hour even at 1/4" thickness.. longer if thicker.. and also as she mentioned, be sure your clay is conditioned well and if possible use foil/wire etc as armature so clay won't have to be as thick (also saves u clay ofc! 🥰) I hope that the info helps!! Good luck!!
Wow! Your art is impressive! Very fun. You put a lot of detail into it. Very cool!
Thank you so much. I'll try to add more hopefully soon😍
What glue did you use for the face?
Hi there, what brand of polymer clay do you use? is the face very fragile?
