This song reminds me of a girl I was in love with once- she was my best friend, my better half, but I was so terrified because I was a girl and she was a girl and all my life I was told it was wrong to a point where I hated myself for loving her, wanting her, to a point where I pushed her away. I really hurt her and I’d do anything to change that now. this song reminds me so much of the first person i fell in love with, he was straight so i was never able to tell him and i never will be… and it just hurt me so much because whenever i was with him there was nothing else i could think about and i always had to suppress my feelings and intrusive thoughts to avoid hurting him in any way. that’s why the line “there’s things i wanna say to you, but i’ll just let you live” hits me so much. i wrote pages after pages and letters that i wish he could’ve read but i knew i would’ve lost him forever if he had. i’m doing a lot better now but it was so hard for me to move on because i was never rejected, i had to deal with it and keep it to myself, slowly learn to give up on it and “let him live”, and i still miss him a lot more than i should sometimes and i don’t even know if i’ll ever see him again
same thing happen to me. + his family who accept me like his 'brother' being the one who stab me in the back and talk shit about me when we're fighting. i guess 'i'll just let he live' there's nothing more to fight for and i accept that. guess i'll read my own letters and answer my own questions.

I talked to a girl today and now few hours later this song popped up and I feel like this is her song.
Even before we exhanged any words I already thought that her huge smile must hide a lot of pain ..and oh boy! my intuition was correct.

I know this might sound weird but she seems to be broken in a perfect way. She's been hurt for so long in so many ways and now she acts like she doesnt care about anything anymore, yet she is open about her past and and you can just feel her hopeful heart beating under all that ice she built up to protect herself.
After all the bad things she has been through she has to be very strong. How else could she continue day after day and not give up?!
