That is one of the main reasons for making a second one, so I hope you enjoy this one just as much :) I tried to make it a lot easier to understand what I did and used, which was something I didn't do on the first one.

I made these as I was watching the video and they are so easy and fun to make! I made three and they are so beautiful. I painted in white the names of my siblings.

As a fellow artist (probably for many more years than you have lived so far)I would like to say how much I enjoyed this video and your previous one. Reading some of the comments and queries from other people it made me remember how a little bit of shared knowledge can solve a problem that beginners with watercolour might have. A lovely video, the right length, in focus and easy to understand.

The curling paper would really annoy me if I was doing this...
What I do is tape it to the table, I use normal tape after putting it on my arms for making it less sticky and not ruin the paper, but there's some special tape for paper. It helps a lot :)

+Laura Avila Thanks! And its all about using the amount of water that you are comfortable with. I like using a lot of water, and for this video I used a wet on wet technique that requires more.
Love it. Have made my own based on this. Do they give off though? Don't want blue on my book pages. GJ.
Juhani139 it wouldn't leave your pages blue, just let it dry 10-12 hours and maybe 24 hours just to be sure!
Thanks for getting back to me. So my husband and I ave been using them, and they are fine, they don't give off. I'm just careful while I'm reading, if my hands are sweaty to be careful not to touch the painted area of the bookmark, but it's really not an issue.

When the paper curls, a bunch of water gets pooled up in an area, what do I do? Do I use a paper towel or something?

If you don't have watercolor paper, then I would try using paper that's thicker than normal so that there is less chance of the water seeping through. The thicker the better :)
You could probably use card stock paper

You should never rip the paper off the set of paper sheets before you painted on it if it's watercolor! First paint, let it dry completely and then remove the paper by cutting it off - don't remove the "glue" on the sides. It should stay on until you painted and it's completely dry. Then it's safe to remove the painted sheet of paper with an exactor knife. This way you'll prevent the paper from curving because of the water used on it.
will it be better if you use used toothbrush instead of paintbrush for putting little dots?
