I've loved this song ever since I first heard it by the Dublin City Ramblers many years ago with words written by Black Country man Bill Caddick from Wolverhampton of course, but what a beautiful version this is...just sublime. I have come across Marianne's work before with The Full Set, a multitalented musician and young lady. She just melts my heart every time she performs...Absolute Class!
“To see a world in a grain of sand. And a heaven in a wild flower, Hold infinity in the palm of your hand. And eternity in an hour. Look for the beauty in your life with a glad heart. ღ
Beautiful version of such a great song. Thank you

The late great Bill Caddick was a dear friend of my partner Tony Mugridge and myself, Fliss Burke.

Lovely rendition of the song with gorgeous accompaniment
This melody is Tchaikovsky Symphony 6. Beautiful.
And....wait for it....Tchaikovsky's pinched it from an Italian folk song.
Music moves on, grows, changes. It's alive.
Nice rendition. 🙂

Does anyone know the type of flute that’s played in the solo, the key, and the source to purchase one?
Beautifully done by all!
It's a low whistle in d irish music shops ....internet.
It's a low A whistle Gerri, I got it in Powell's in Galway, it doesn't have a maker's name on it. Cheers!
