I first heard of the show when it started airing on NBC in the US. It was great while it lasted, but the problem there is that they aired too many celebrity specials. There were also a couple of cases where coverage of NBA basketball ran long, causing those on the east coast to miss the start of that night's episode. It later aired five a week in daytime syndication, but with a different host, George Gray. It met its demise due to Millionaire making its own move to syndication.
I loved the US run, both Anne and George. I wish it could've lasted longer here, but at least there's youtube to watch so much of the BBC version. The Children In Need special was so fun to see Anne back.
@@johnwalsh3635 There's probably a bit of a difference of what you can get away with saying between American and British television. Maybe that's why it seemed tame. A few episodes actually never aired on NBC, later surfacing on a cable channel, and eventually GSN, kind of the American version of Challenge.
@@johnwalsh3635Thankfully, the game returned with new versions and hosts in 2020. Another good thing that happened in 2020. Some post-2020 versions still continue making new episodes to this day.
1:44 Same music? Not in Isreal or Mexico. Isreal sped up the music and raised the pitch a bit. In Mexico and Chile, a complete 180. The versions in those two countries slowed the music down and lowered the pitch some. Note: Mentioned changes are small, but key.
Totally agree. I am in the uk but adored Cornelia in the soaps we saw her in. Have seen some of her Weakest Link episodes and she is good but I felt a little too stern and not as funny as Anne is with the banter. Maybes that would have came with time had the show lasted as Anne was like that initially but love both Anne and Cornelia.
The part between 25:30 and 25:37 is how I approach my No.1 Love Interest or a woman whom I love the look of and knows me well. I’m glad I started going to the gym to help me with that as well.
I admired how Anne shook off the complaints

bluebear1985 From what I see on the net, the USA version was too tame. Insulting the contestants is part of the appeal of the show.

My favorite USA episode was the one with the NBC all stars.

IT SHOULD JUST BE BROUGHT BACK
I WANT TO SEE THAT AGAIN...
Revivals have been around since 2020. Not only here in the United States, but Australia too.
2:50 I thought she was also a comedian, it turns out she was a ordinary contestant who lost towards the final.
Love this! Thanks for uploading! :)

The game show Weakest Link took place in countries around the world. Some hosts are women while some hosts are men.
It started in the UK.
The 20th anniversary of when the Weakest Link first premiered in America is next Friday.

14:29 I HAVE!!!
6:00 So in the original concept instead of prize money, it was originally meant to be a trip to go on a holiday?
1:45 yea but the American logo is different
Edited 2:43 you can tell
14:59 Ray you are the weakest link… can you hear me?! GOODBYE!
18:08 (Anne) did you not see the red light?
21:08 did she not have an autocue?? Even though it was the same introduction to the show every episode
12:12-12:17 Will you stop that now and settle down! We’ve all had enough of that! 😂😂
16:12 What’s the name and artist of the song he’s singing?
I recognise it but I can’t find it.
WHat happened to the ending?

I don't think that there has been a Slovakian version of The Weakest Link
I think it's a metaphor to emphasize the show being seen around the world.
Omg Rowetta 😲 from x factor 2004

In the background at 17:08 There's Charles and Diana Ingram, I wonder if they had someone behind them to help them cheat... "*cough *No *cough"
KT926 I don't see them
You can only see Diana and their names of the podium, I recognised her straight away
15:26 Bunney was on the Weakest Link???
3:25 11 players???
15:49 does anyone know where the full clip or episode is hehe?
25:36
Song: je t'aime... moi non plus
5:32 Sue Barker
Brain from the American version looks like he could be a comedian from Ohio XD
For my own reference: 22:30
WESKEST LINK
27:32 Best part
Canada is the only country that didn’t get a weakest link
CTV bought the rights to the franchise in Canada, so we did get a Weakest Link, just that they aired the NBC versions in 2001 and the revival.
can we not see it all
I LOVE ANNE x
