Exactly, I love how Illari’s MOVEMENT ability’s boop is so much better than Lucio’s boop, which is now basically just a better option than melee for burst damage.
So irritating that they put everything into one ability. Boop, vertical and fast mobility, deals damage, and whatever else it does. Like bro why. And why is it so much better than lucios boop some bs. Literally his entire job is about booping to disposition enemies for his team and he sucks at it and illari comes in and can do it 1000x better while also having a more impactful kit at the same time. Support power creep is bullshit please nerf them all except lucio I’m so over this shit.
Outside of hiding for cheesy environmental kills, Illari's and Lucio's boop just aren't comparable, lucio's boop has way more utility. The value of Lucio's boop is that it's small but with his mobility and its low cooldown he can apply it wherever and whenever he wants. Lucio can go right through a brawl comp and nudge the backline out of position every 4 seconds AND survive, Illari just can't do that. During teamfights Illari's boop only has ONE usecase, she has to save it for her retreat, as when she's used it she has 7 seconds without any movement or CC. She can poke at the front line and push back the Rein and disengage when he tries to punish her, that's it, if she uses it offensively she will die. Lucio can use his boop offensively or defensively, before, after or during an engage without leaving himself vulnerable at any time due to his movement.
the sym regen is so weird first its not a flat regen its a scaling regen of 10/20/30 depending on the beam level so you get the most when its the highest the weirder thing is that that you barely get to use that because the shield hp most of the time just melts away before you can get use from that and barriers are either broken or removed because the enemy doesn't want to feed you beam there really isn't much use from that dunno why they gave her that
i think they did it like that so you still get value from beaming shields at higher beam levels. if you're at max beam charge and beaming shield still only gave you 10shields/s it would never be worth beaming shields past level 1 beam charge, you would be throwing unless you immediately switched to beaming enemy HP the second your beam levels up. the way it is now grants you more viable choices depending on what you wanna do while still retaining "max value" if that makes sense
@@albingrahn5576 I meant that the regen doesn't last long since you get through shield HP (not the barriers) that fast on high levels just over 1.1 seconds to beam down sigma shields, 1.25 to beam down zarya's shields, just over 0.8 seconds to beam down wrecking ball/zen's shields (in case of zen you would kill him soon after), just under 0.7 seconds to beam down sym's shields and just over a quarter of a second to beam down life weaver shields so most of the time you get less than 30 shields worth you only really get use from this healing if you are chewing through barriers (in cases like rein or sigma since others you can walk through) and don't get instantly burst down but instead are chipped down by something which is not that common from what I can say because either the barrier dies or the enemy takes it down so you don't get charge
@@somedude4087 yeah i meant it more like you're at full charge beaming down their ana or whatever, your hp gets low so you switch over to their sigma for a sec to regen shields before continuing to beam the ana (still retaining your full charge). with this scaling regen this becomes a viable strategy but without it you would feel like you're wasting full charge on a measly 10shields/s and you would just retreat instead of bothering with target switching
@@albingrahn5576 you're getting the beam up for the damage...not for the heal, and with how high the damage is and it keeping the charge *as well as recharging the weapon* while hitting shields thats more pressure on enemy team to use it less and less thats still value and even in situation you described beaming the sigma only gets you about 37 hp, which in case where ana is a threat isn't enough to help survive her, and if you can reach sigma, its even less help since he can just finish you off I suppose that only real use from it is when you're beaming down a target thats being pocketed by heals but...I honestly think that isn't helping the game since shit just turns into outlast the enemy resources through whatever means you can while not running out of your own which I guess what it always was but honestly feels like stuff is only getting worse
I would hate to be in that second game, literally first fight in mr streamer is getting sniped by 2 front lining supports and it just happens all game. ml7 is too goated against stream snipers
