  • Apriscatole, passatempo, multicolore, portacenere, rossoneri: compound words may look long and complicated, but it's actually quite easy to guess their meaning if you can identify their components. They can be nouns, adjectives or verbs and they are often invariable - but sometimes you need to know some rules to form their plural. Understanding their nature will allow you to use them correctly.

Un ottimo video come sempre! Ha menzionato verbo + nome ma che dire del nome + verbo. C'e anche questo tipo? Ho visto oggi la parola "malessere". O forse sia questa, aggettivo + verbo?

Ciao Giulio! Malessere è un nome formato da avverbio + verbo. Un esempio di nome + verbo è manomettere :)

It's a bit complicated! But once you know it's a compound word, you can simply look up the correct plural form(s) in a dictionary :)

Aspirapolvere è decisamente una parola composta, verbo + sostantivo :)
