Best things to do in CHEFCHAOUEN 🇲🇦 the blue city of MOROCCO (FULL TOUR)

Hello family !
We are going on a trip to Morocco and we are precisely visiting Chefchaouen (also called Chefchawen, Chaouen ou Xaouen).
Chefchaouen is a municipality located in the Rif Mountains, in northern Morocco, not far from Tetouan, Tangier and Fez.
Some names of streets or establishments remind us that it was part of the old Spanish protectorate.
The city has a rich history, a notable historical heritage, and numerous points of tourist interest, including:
- the old medina (old town)
- the kasbah (or qasba): a beautiful fortress
- the Ras El Maa spring
In addition, it is a perfect place to taste Moroccan food (tajine, couscous, pastilla, bissara, etc.) in street stalls (street food) or restaurants, and stay in an authentic riad.
I decided to visit the city during a getaway that lasted a weekend, a little more than 2 days. There are several ways to get there, for example by taxi, bus, or renting a car. To go there, leaving from Tetouan turns out to be the easiest and fastest.
From my point of view, you can go all year round, but you have to know that in summer it is very hot and in winter it can be quite cold.
The natural environment is very beautiful (with mountains, lakes and waterfalls), the historic center with its blue streets and houses is beautiful, and the people are super friendly and welcoming. It is very safe to travel there.
Without a doubt, Chefchaouen is an essential stopover. Beyond taking some cool pictures for Instagram or Facebook, strolling through its center makes you dream, inspires you and teleports you away from the stress of modern life.
Alone, as a couple, or as a family, it is a highly recommended and relatively cheap destination.
The "blue city" awaits you ! Let's go !
