This was great to hear from an expert. I’m repairing a Z4M plus and the take up ribbon was slipping. It turns out I just needed to be very careful and placing the collar as tight as possible towards the inside on the shaft. The way you described the internal workings let me know I was not troubleshooting a part but an adjustment. Thanks
The printer was a bit complicated to hook up ruclips.net/user/postUgkxciSwynMJ7PnUvvx11rewiu-yFBkZTl53 but it does the job very efficiently. I like the ink wells versus the ink cartages that cost an arm and a leg. It prints quickly and the quality is excellent. It shuts off when not in use, so you have to remember to turn it on. Overall, it exceeds my expectations. I'll update my review in a couple of months.
Thanks for the information new to zebra printer repairs, what is the best way to get to the guide plates a Label got stuck in the guide plate area and i cant get to easily.
I wonder if you could help me, I replaced the main logic board yesterday after getting a blank display and nothing else on a X10i111 Now the display is working but now the labels will not line up with the tear off bar and image is not in line with the label, I have done some cleaning to the sensors and calibrations but still it will not line up
Make sure the printer is in tear off mode not rewind mode. There is the longer calibration procedure sometimes called manual calibration you could perform. That's a big job replacing the board. Wow!
@Steven Morris thanks for the response, It was in tear off mode, and I tried both. I am a photocopier engineer of 17 years and these zebra are new to me. I am thinking that the new board has reset some setting and the reason the image on the label is off is also the same reason the labels aren't set ready to be teared off
Not a bad printer. PITA to load media. Take up spool has to have a core for doing small batches of labels. Its a pain to remove them from the take up spool if you dont use a core. I would take an Intermec 4420 any day over these.

Better to use Fan fold media.
@@thebarcodeguy4420 Messy when your doing 1,000 labels at a time. We used a Zebra ZT610 for all our print stations. Decent printer.
Thanks
Great
