To fix that box: Just screw two short blocks in the corners to hold the blocks to the chest. Then screw the box sides to those blocks. (put a little glue in the joints as you go.)
I've no doubt you guys have heard or read the following before but no from me so... I live in the UK, have never been to Australia, even though I have always been fascinated by it. Now thanks to you guys (well Great motorcycle rides of the World or whatever it is called) I have stepped down and on to the continent to see many of Australua's natural wonders. For that I just wanted to post a big big thank you.
You need to install a pair of high wattage computer fans inside the cabin. You just need to create a positive pressure inside the van to stop dust coming in. I’ve been a coach driver for years and every luggage bin under the seats has a large automotive thermofan for this purpose.
Great video. My wife and I did the reverse to you guys re: swimming. Hiked Python Pool and swam in the Fortescue River at Deep Pool. It might be an age thing - we are in our 70s. Did no-one mention Carrawine Gorge to you - 180 km east of Marble Bar and a magic spot. We paddled our inflatable double kayak upstream for an hour. The scenery was magic.
You’ll come to realise the red dust will stay in Vance for a lifetime. 😳 Always a good idea to head inland during school holidays.🥳 Nice drone footage 👍
You can use pva glue, but check in tge same section the strong wood glue. If you nail you will split the side. You can get tiny screw. Or change it over for new.
Great video, our T2 came to the UK from Colorado and I spent months removing the dust from inside the chassis and every nook and cranny and 4 years later I still have to clean the top of the dash every time I use it as dust is still coming out lol
Another nice one Guys, Vance is doing well in the off road jaunts. I guess you have the shelf glued back in by now, if that's all that goes wrong, . . . . . . you're having a great day !!!!. Take care, stay safe, Cheers.
@@KendallandGlenn Thanks for your reply, you are having the trip of a lifetime. I have loved travelling around Australia over my life and wish you well on a safe adventure. Slow and steady is always a good place to start, remember if necessary you could go lower with tyre pressure if it got very soft sand as long as not too fast, if you looked like getting stuck even 10 to 12 for short time, and reinflate as soon as possible.
It's unfortunate you don't have a 4WD, you missed the two best parts of Millstream National Park, George Gorge, and Horseshoe Gorge. Both rival parts of Karijini for sure, some people say George Gorge is the best free camp in the Pilbara. Also, you missed some epic free camps in Murujuga National Park when you were in Karratha.
Hey Judy! Aw thank you so much, so glad to have you join the journey! Our cups are from Liquorice Moon Studios and the mugs are from Public Holiday 😊🙌🏼
hey! absolutely love your videos, we are looking at buying a van soon to do Australia and I was wondering if you've found the no ac situation to be hard?
The price you pay for wilderness is effort. If it was easy everyone would be there and the whole experience would be different. . A small amount of discomfort can sometimes deliver a higher reward.

Enjoyed the video. Looks like you two had an excellent day. (Except for the red dust)

We sure think so! Thanks a lot Kev :)
What pressure did you drop your tyres to for dirt road and what are your tyre size? Thanks for great tour
Hi Dave! We generally drop them between 20-25PSI. Seems to do the trick quite nicely. We have the Maxxis Bravo 753 tyres 14C 195's.

Thank you 🥰🥰
hey! absolutely love your videos, we are looking at buying a van soon to do Australia and I was wondering if you've found the no ac situation to be hard?
Thanks so much Celeste! It can get incredibly hot and uncomfortable (see our video from the top end) but it's still manageable!

Ain't that the truth! haha. Always worth it in the end :)
Don't you just love that red bull dust
Its everywhere! hahaha
