Agreed. It's simple, but very fun with a group of friends. Even solo can be fun if you put on some music and set the mood. Have you played Escape the Dark Sector? That game is a lot of fun too, but it's a little more complicated. I hope the designers make another game in this line.
@CosmicTavern i honestly have played neither, I just learned of it through watching a video. I rlly want to play now tho, might look into getting it soon
Just got this for Christmas, and the kids loved it! Very easy gaming mechanics and the art/story truly set a tone. Have some dungeon synth music playing in the ackground, and it's game on!
@@davewebb415 That's great! Glad they had a good time! I do like the simplicity in the game. Somehow all the different cards you pull come together to create a fun little story each time you play.
No, resting players basically sit out for that specific round and all they do is heal 1 hp. After resting, they can choose to rest again OR to join combat and fight normally. Let me know if you need more clarification.
@@CosmicTavern No, I was actually talking about before any combat rounds. The person symbol in the chapter card means all players must each roll an additional chapter die before any combat, right? But what if a player decides to rest at the very beginning of the chapter (just right after revealing the enemy). Does the resting player roll an additional chapter die too? Or only the remaining players?
@@designbycorrea Oh I see. You roll the additional dice no matter what. It doesn't matter if someone is going to rest or not. This basically sets up the difficulty for the game and it's balanced around how many people are in the game. So if you're playing a two player game, you'd place the non random dice under the monster, then both of the players would roll one die and place it next to the monster. THEN you begin combat and players can choose to rest or attack. But remember only one person can rest for each round of combat. Resting always happens after all of the dice are set up. Otherwise it would be way too easy to fight the monsters.
Excellent explanation! Thank you so much!
This is a very clear video, even for people like me who never played this game before! I like the 'refresher' idea, thanks!
Thanks for watching! I love this game. It's simple to play and a lot of fun.
What a cool game!

Not played this game in awhile needed a quick recap and loved this video!! Thanks for posting!
Glad it helped! I love this game. It's a fun adventure.
@@CosmicTavern it really is!! My friend and I have literally just finish a game with his 11year old!.... we didn't escape🤕
Anyone else excited for Escape the Dark Sector? I'll definitely be doing a refresher on it when it comes in.
Thanks for the refresher!
Thanks for the quick refresher, havent played it 2 years this helped.
Do resting players still roll a chapter die before combat?
