I know nothing about Mods or scooters, but what brought me here was the video for The Kinks - Tired of Waiting for You - they look like Mods, with their smart suits and starched collars!! I wondered if they were ever part of that movement. Also, where I live in Cambridge, every Sunday at the Grafton Centre, their scooters are always lined up and they are standing about chatting. I don’t know why they go there, it’s a crumbling dump, but I always see them if I am up there on a Sunday. Several years ago, I was in Debenhams with my brother and he said:-“There’s a Mod!!” - one of them was in there with his messenger-style bag with the distinctive target logo on it. Rarely see them now, do they still exist, Mods? I know they came out of the 1960s when my Mum and Dad were about to get married. Don’t see many Mods (skin heads frighten me) nowadays.

You should try and go to the lion and herring in great Yarmouth I have heard good and bad things about the shop and I'm not sure if it be worth going or not

the rally will be 3rd-5th May 2024 - the early May bank. holiday at the usual places, The Suncastle and The Savoy Hotel.
