Yes, I checked again, but it says lioness. I know what you mean, though.

I find it strange that you could not find a single positive thing to say about Istanbul with all of its clean streets, beautiful art galleries, museums, connectivity, and easy transportation, but with Egypt, despite Cairo clearly falling behind Istanbul in so many ways, starting with the vegetation, the weather, and the food, you are only showing the positives. Remember the fraudulent activity that bothered you in Istanbul. Cario is just as awful, but you don't discuss it here. Hmm, fascinating. Are you Egyptian? Is this what it is?

I mentioned it a lot, go back to the turkey video, and count how many times i said the word beautiful. In Egypt, people ask you for tips upfront, and it's a couple of cents or dollars. You don't really feel it. In istanbul, it starts at larger numbers, and the person asking you intimidates you. I didn't feel safe in Taksim Square, but I was fine in Cairo. I only felt intimidated at the pyramids area. I visited it again this year, and the taxi driver wanted to charge me 20 bucks for the ride, but suddenly, he started adding toll money to the price. I was going to pay him 35 bucks anyway, so I confronted him. The guy apologized and gave me his number to give me a free trip. He was so embarrassed that he refused to take money for the ride by the end of it. But it was again 2 dollars extra that he wanted to charge. I paid him 35 bucks anyway. I'm not a cheap person. Gratuity is part of the Canadian culture, and I understand in Egypt, income is not the greatest. In Istanbul, on the other hand, a ride like that for 50 minutes or so will start at $65. And the driver will try to get a $100, but those are not the prices, because you can rent a car for a cheaper price than the ride. Everyone might have a different experience at the end. I'm just sharing mine. You probably could go there, act smarter, and not get gouged in either county. I'm just making the videos in a storyline for people to know how to avoid bad situations and have a good time. Egypt is simple, stay in a residential area where expads live with Egyptians and visit the touristy areas. Istanbul may be the same, but it wasn't for me. I'll try another city in the future and tell you my experience. Turkey is gorgeous if you know how to do it. I just didn't know. I assumed it's like Canada and didn't do my research.
