I found that focusing on hydration does the thick for me. My pimples don't last as long now that my skincare routine is composed of soothing products, not only when my skin is red but everyday !
"If I get a pimple, I get a dark mark" that is so me! I've been using the Benton Aloe BHA Skin Toner for several months (2-3 times a week) and somehow it reduces my dark marks! Thank you Kelly!
it's totally true that green tea really reduces redness. i've found that the ONE thing that never fails to reduce redness is when i soak cotton pads in cold green tea and leave them on my skin for up to 30 min. it's a little bit more effort than using a sheet mask but it's been the most effective for me!!
10% Azelaic Acid from the Ordinary is my go to anti redness spot treatment. It’s very “pasty” and might be difficult to spread but I was able to use it as long as I use a hydrating toner and serum before it.
I use the centella unscented toner with Beton snail bee ultimate serum and it works wonders! My redness goes away instantly and my inflammed pimples calm down.
My Benton sheet masks finally arrived yesterday and I used one last night. Already obsessed. I haven’t woken up with my skin that even (less red) and hydrated in a long time!!
I don't get pimples anymore, but I do suffer from redness/inflammation due to eczema and super sensitive skin. I'm 48 and menopausal so I have hormonal issues causing severe dryness, in addition to being dry due to eczema and age. During an eczema flare simplicity is best for me, as the more ingredients I use, the more likely a product will sting/irritate my already sensitized skin. I have to patch test everything prior to use and still develop reactions after using something for a period of time. I like centella as an ingredient, niacinamide works well on my skin, but sometimes the bare minimum is best. Laneige cream skin refiner is a very minimalist product and never stings, even when I'm hypersensitive. It also helps with hydration/moisture on very dry/irritated skin. Just that and a pure oil like argan, squalane, marula etc is the bare minimum. I haven't tried mugwort yet, but plan to buy/use that once my neogen essence is finished. I'm currently using the klairs fundamental serum, but plan on trying the puritto centella serum next time (as I like the sleeping mask). Even something like cereve stings my skin, so I have to be super careful (the Illyoon cream hasn't caused any issues for me). Obviously quite a few of your recommendations are working well for me and this is one of the few channels not promoting fragranced products. Many thanks and best wishes.
For me, as someone with sensitive, rosacea skin, when my skin is sensitised, I just clean myself with gentle cleanser and slather the inflamed areas with La Roche Posay Cicaplast Baume. It literally saves my skin.
The Benton Centella sheet masks are crazy effective for me. I put them on and 10 mins later my inflamed pimples are 90 % less red. I would use them every day if that weren't so unsustainable and pricey 😅
I burned my skin using klairs vitamin c. My skin dried up and started to form scars. I was in tears because before that my skin was in the best condition it has been. I started using my SKII mask every other day and started Purito unscented sunscreen. The both turned my skin around. The cica in the sunscreen helped with the inflammation and the mask hydrated it. All the scars are gone within one week and redness gone.
My best tip is, after I poped pimples I dab a little bit of rosehip oil so that they don't get dry. If you left that open wounded area to the air It's gonna cause scar and extra inflammations. This actually helped to prevented or to fading my dark spots. I use "Now Food's rosehip oil", one more good news is that you can find it at local super market to get this product! it's cheaper then any of my skincare product!
I've used purito unscented centella. Skin1004 Madagascar centella, and cosrx cica toner 7. The madagascar (yellow) centella blew me away with the redness reduction. Madagascar Skin1004 was so much faster.
That Benton sheetmask really blew my mind. I didnt even buy it for spots, but because my skin was angry because of overexfoliation... i just bought any products that were chockfull of centella. And then I took it off after 20 minutes and my spots were like GONE!
I have rosacea and quite oily skin and sadly Missha’s mugwort essence gave me a warm sensation and flared me up a little. I guess mugwort is not for me :( So far the products that can calm me down are: 1. Neogen Real Ferment Micro Essence (stabilise and hydrate skin) 2. Skinoren Azelaic acid 20% cream (clear all bumps in a few days and reduce redness) 3. Aura Cacia Blue Tansy + jojoba oil (instantly calm down red inflamed skin) Cant wait to try the Purito unscented centella serum.
Klairs Watery Oil Drop is the product that soothes my dehydrated face but also has my anti aging ingredients. I do use Retin-A 3 times a week, but those other days I want my peptides

What is the best way in which a deep pimple under the skin can be brought to the surface of the skin? A pimple who stubbornly resists under the skin, it is does not „ripen“ and it does not disappear, it is simply...„petrified“ under the skin , it dit not redden, it does not hurt, it does not envolve in any way 😕...but it looks like a neg....just unsightly.Thank you very much 🙏
Someone told me to massage it while you do your skincare for a few minutes a day. It doesn't come to the surface but will dissolve in your blood. Hope this works for you!
The I’m From Mugwort range is my fave from them hands down. I also got their vitamin tree gel moisturizer and I haven’t tried it yet. I do also enjoy the Rice toner. I also love the Cosrx pimple patches but like you I do not like the smallest size patch because it literally covers nothing, like why can’t they take this out and replace them with more of the big ones. First, you need to calm down your reactive/irritated skin by using some special drugs like anti histamin (oral), Tacrolimus (ointment apply on skin), some vitamin help your skin health ( vitamin A low dose, vitamin C, Omege\a 3-6-9, vitamin E). I have very thin skin and red marks are visible for months , so I’m definitely going to try at least the benton mask👍 Is there a serum, toner or essence that you know of, with similar ingredient list? I’m not a huge fan of sheet masks. BTW I have found the ordinary azelaic acid suspension useful as a spot treatment and I think it also helps with the red marks. I would be careful with the Purito Centella Unscented Serum. There are 4 ingredients pretty high in the list, which are very bad vor sensitive skin or a weaken skinbarrier.
