- Chelsea have had a lot of negativity in recent years and understandably so, however i've seen a consistent them here with Rory Jennings' coverage of the club that i do have a problem with as a Chelsea fan, these are my thoughts.

Rory isn’t objective and it’s completely calculated. He knows what he’s doing and it’s worked for him as his target audience isn’t Chelsea fans, it’s the whole football audience. Hence why he’s gone down the AFTV route, which doesn’t work with the the Chelsea audience, hence why we all do better views when Chelsea win 😂 He wants the mainstream gigs and he’s getting it. I think it’s important to call things out when you see it happening at your club, we’ve had a horrible last couple of years but it’s important to also mention good signs like we are seeing now in the team. Being realistic is one thing, being Rory is another 😂

Seeing many big Chelsea twitter accounts calling out Rory is refreshing the club finally have a small moment to be happy as fans for the first time in a while, instead he continues to be negative to the extent I see it as trolling while simultaneously being positive towards rival clubs and players. Happy people are calling him out
For me, Jennings just fosters negativity and pessimism towards the club and its really sad. When you compare him to George Benson who is just as big an influencer on youtube, its insane to see the difference in videos (especially over the past 2 and a bit years).
Rory just goes as melodramatic as possible to draw the engagement. Chelsea wins a game? "OMG Chelsea are back!!!" Chelsea loses the next game? "OMG Chelsea are dire!!!"
Didnt George benson used to be HerderofBuffalo? The fifa channel?
Benson is just as fast to turn against manager if two games in a row is loss or draw.
GB is kind of a guy who tends to let his emotions get better of him. He is a good speaker, a good looking guy but not an intelligent one. Nowhere near toxic or annoying as Jennings though.

Rory ceased being a proper football fan a while ago. Rory is now a marketer. For himself, for his podcast co-hosts, for any channels he has that are monetised. He trades in absurd takes that he knows will generate views, interactions and most importantly cash flow. The more extreme the opinion, the more people will interact. TalkSport have been running the same model for years to get people to call in, so found it hilarious when he started showing up on there. It's a match made in heaven! Consider the moment he's most infamous for, the Haaland not being a success in the PL take. The average person would be embarassed by this, Rory might have acted it but in reality he was over the moon because more people were talking about him. His views were going up and more football fans knew who he was. Like your point about AFTV, sometimes it's more lucrative to be infamous than regarded as a good content creator!
Rory is his own business and he'll do whatever he can to sell that. In a way you have to respect the hustle, he's making a living talking about something, at some point in his life he clearly loved. It's just rather than develop a good relationship and build an audience with balanced view points and actual analysis... he went the low, sensationalist route. Clearly it's worked so good luck to him. But I'd sooner take a 10 year old's opinions on Chelsea than take any word he says seriously.

Realized this a few years about that guy. If you watch how both Maresca and Poch explain the tactics you can see the drastic difference between the two coaches and how much better Maresca is. You can only beat teams who are in front of you. We lost to both west ham and wolves last season and won this season. Marked improvement yet that guy is given a platform constantly to push and reinforce these negative narratives that carragher and Neville have about Chelsea. He will never get another view out of me or his name mentioned ever again. He is a disgrace to Chelsea fans and thank you for bringing this to light. The less of him the better. Good riddance. 👍🏼

Because I'm a nerd, who agrees with you, here's some Rory stats that I'm sure he'd love to be able to argue with, but can't... Rory made 24 'post-result' videos last season: 4 wins, 6 draws, 14 losses. So apparently we won 17% of games last season, didn't know that... More importantly though, of those 24 videos, 18 were slanted negatively. His 6 positive videos averaged 65k views, his negative ones averaged 162k. So 2.5x more lovely views for our Chelsea man Rory. Please for the love of God, Sky, leave him to his videos, and let someone who actually wants to fight Chelsea's corner onto your Overlap videos. Thanks.
Too many in our fan base do the same thing, only hone in on the negatives for engagement. It’s honestly so draining as a fan when fellow Chelsea fans can’t even be balanced when talking about the club

I used to love Rory’s uploads. It’s no secret we have been horrific for the last 2 seasons. But we have really looked better now! Maresca is working fast! Rory seems to go against the grain for clicks now! Even with England in the summer when everyone saw how poor England were he was blowing smoke up Southgate’s arse! 🤦🏻♂️ Chelsea start performing and he sounds gutted!
It’s all fake, it’s really sad to see. There are hundreds of people that would love to be in his position, and literally have a full time job where they talk about football and their favourite football team. Using the platform in which he is lucky enough to do that to maximise the money he makes from his content is quite frankly disgraceful, by all means give an unbiased reflection of every game, but that’s not what he has been doing. I don’t like the “youtube game” I used to watch him on Chelsea fans channel years ago and you could see the genuine passion he had for the club, he’s built himself up over the years only to abuse the position he is in now to make the most money, what can you do? Someone like Younes for example stayed true to what he believed criticised the club when necessary and gave credit where due since 2011, took him a while to get to where he is now, but he built what he has now on genuine content, that’s a true fan who I want to listen to. The who problem? Honestly, as a Chelsea fan, I spend precisely 0 minutes listening to Rory Jennings. My time is precious to me and life just isn't long enough to waste on people that talk so much in order to say so little. There are issues at Chelsea, for sure. We're not suddenly top tier just because we drop the hammer on a couple of teams that don't really defend against our main thing. But I just don't know why listening to Rory would do anything to improve my life in any conceivable way. So... I don't.
That said, if he wants to be a negative nancy who always cries about whatever he can find to cry about, if that is working out for him, then why not? Might be a great place to hang out for spuds, goons, and other fans of disreputable colors.

Rory is a Chelsea fan but his channel is not a fan channel. There are several better fan channels out there that cover Chelsea regularly. George Benson, Mahtese, YTF, Joey Knight and Josh. Rory is a media man and that’s the route he takes and you can either hate him or love him for it

I’m glad Sanchez is in good form right now but he still scares me. I don’t get us buying hall. We have Carney,santos,AND Ugochukwu who would have been great for us btw because we know Lavia can’t stay fit. It’s a waste of 25 mil. They should have sold Disasi and kept Trev with the squad. He’ll release a video praising Liverpool & Arne Slot on Friday then a couple days later release another video claiming LFC is in decline since Klopp retired & made worse by their new manager.
