@Ultraman725 I refer to it as fantasy metal. The ones who mesh great guitars with 80's hair singing and lyrics like "And the elves and the trolls raised their axes!" That kind of thing. I love it, but it's definitely fantasy or nerd metal, or Heavy Mithral. That's just me, but I know exactly what you're talking about, and the guys who are the most guilty of it, and good at it, are Rhapsody, Blind Guardian, and Manowar. That's just my humble opinion, of course.
