Great video on DQ7. This is one of my favorite DQ games so it's cool that someone is making content about it outside of a review and I never knew about the game changing like this. There are somethings I wanted to point out. 1. Kiefer Leaving Later In The Game- This kinda makes sense because Aishe comes way later after Kiefer departs. Usually rpgs will give you a replacement character right after one has left the party and her being Keifer descendant would make for a suitable replacement. Which means this would have probably been where he left. 2.Keifer becoming Orgedemir- Aishie existence is the only thing I feel that contradicts this because she is a descendant of Kiefer. Now something could have happened to Layla after she gave birth to Kiefer kid that would have caused him to turn into Ogredemir. That along with him still being in the dark world at that time the one sealed off by Ogredemir could have lead him down a darker path. However I think he would not be the Ogredemir that we fight first, but the second one aka the final boss with Kiefer inheriting his will. This would make the battle with him again more impactful because we wouldn't just be fighting the same boss we beat already. Atleast in Dragon Quest 6 Mortamor was there and it wasn't just Murdaw again. Kiefer would have also had to be revived in modern times giving Orgedemir a new body. 3. Kiefer original departure- While this idea is interesting and it would seem like Hori changed it late. I do believe that departure we got works. Players would have been devastated if they wasted time building up Kiefer's class only for him to leave. The class system was introduced on the next island and it's a rock bottom area because of the events that depower you and Kiefer's absence you feel why sucks that he left. I think Hori still made it feel natural even if it was a late rewrite. That's it I know the comment was long, but your video got me thinking more about the game especially Aishie involvement.
Great video! I'm really wondering if they're going to have the main character become a major antagonist in DQXII, I've heard that the game is supposed to be pretty dark. Another thought I just had, it's interesting that Terry, Kiefer, and Psaro are main characters in some of the DQ Monster games, like they have some sort of ability to connect with and recruit monsters. Could be subtle references to the original plans of Horii that were snuck in.

I would like to increase the number of DQ-related videos, but I would like to create FF-related videos and hidden masterpieces (Especially translated videos of games that are only sold in Japan), so the work is difficult...
