Great interview, had the pleasure of sitting beside Charlie in Dubai at a Scotland v England legends night, had a chat about Jim Lauchlin who was a pal of mine and who Charlie played with at Dundee Utd
I remember having a giant Rangers squad poster as a kid that they sold on the streets of Belfast in the 90s I knew all the players' names off by heart Charlie Miller was part of that famous squad Gazza being the main man of course fantastic team.
Wee Charlie was a class player and a natural talent. Yes he could have achieved more with his ability, but he still had a brilliant career and will always be remembered as a rangers legend. Aw the best Charlie.
Don’t know why guys like Charlie are not involved with our youth system, they know what the boys are experiencing and know what it takes to make it , and by the sounds of it runs a good academy
As a former Castlemilk boy myself, I played for Clyde Boys Club & my school Castleton. I remember playing against Charlie (Windlaw). Aye, Charlie & his team rattled us.
@@CraigHoustonTalksTo . That’s true Craig. Charlie took us apart that day. The last time I seen him, he was the Rangers bus in George Square after winning 9 in a Row. I banged the windae & he recognised me from Castlemilk.
I’ll never forget Charlie having the game of his life V Hibs at Ibrox we won 7-0 it was the day Gaza got booked for mock booking the ref Stuart Douglas if my memory serves me right he dropped his cards & Gaza pretended to book him before giving him the card back but aye I remember Charlie was on 🔥 😁💙🔴⚪️🔵👍🏼
People dont realise Charlie played along beside some great players in his career. I loved him at Rangers. Great interview Craig, Can you try and get David Holmes on? WATP
Loved Charlie when he came into the side at first, such a shame what ended up happening and that's the first time I have heard that story about the letter from Dick, that's a horrendous way to treat a guy who had been at the club since a kid, then I can mind him being at Utd and controlling games, just went on and checked the stats cos I was sure he got capped at Scotland whilst at Utd but amazed that was only time he did, seen there as well that he got foreign player of the year over in Australis as well and was a success over in Norway too. Charlie would be the first to admit that if it wasn't for the carry on, the drinking, the gambling he could have played for Rangers for another 4 or 5 years, Dick showed he trusted young Scots with making Barry captain and he should have easily made 30-40 caps for Scotland. One of the most naturally talented Scottish players I have seen and as Craig said every 9 in a row video will show Charlie crossing for Laudrup to win it and no one can take that away or the medals. Wish him all the best, I really hope he kicks on with the coaching
Really good interview, enjoyed it. Charlie's memory of the 3-3 game against Celtic BC at Benburb is wrong though! It wasn't 2-2 for a start. 😉 It was Graeme Adams who scored two for Rangers that day and Charlie got the equaliser. Simon Black missed a penalty. Charlie hit the bar twice in Extra Time. June 8th 1988 edition of the Rangers News will fill in the blanks. 😆

Neuter in to the brain mate.
Met him in the bluebelle bar in tenireife about 5 year ago and got a picture. Just a normal guy from Glasgow down to earth.
Very normal guy.
Watched Charlie out here in Australia and he was head and shoulders better than anyone. Shame he didn’t stay longer and get a couple of more years.
He did like it out there

Met him in Hong Kong a few years ago real nice guy.

Have met Alex Smith once - and he is an absolutely lovely man. Have to agree with Charlie there.
Thank you
