This is China's first 3A-level game masterpiece. The production team spent several years traveling around China's famous mountains and ancient temples, scanning various reliefs, statues of gods and ghosts... They studied the costumes, props, buildings, the shapes and meanings of gods and ghosts in Journey to the West and the era in great depth, as well as the profound Buddhist Zen, all of which are reflected in the game. This is a game masterpiece that exudes a rich and profound Chinese culture and Buddhist teachings~
In Journey to the West, Sun Wukong can transform into 72 different types of enemies, so after defeating an enemy, he can transform into any enemy he has defeated and use their skills. In the game, the bosses have many, many, many...
August 20th in PV is Beijing time, and due to the time difference, some regions may show that the game will be unlocked on the 19th. But in reality, this game will be unlocked globally at the same time.
You can search for the explanations of this game in culture, history, and Buddhism on RUclips by Chinese RUclips bloggers, which cover the source and role of the specific modeling of ghosts and gods in the Buddhist cognition of sin, as well as the theological significance of the buildings, ancient temples, and game background settings. After understanding, your experience and feelings about the game will be shocked and doubled~
The monkey king kill bosses, and then get weapon, which can in turn make the monkey turn into the boss (not all bosses). you can transfer into different boss with some energy gauge/time gauge. you need to use these boss form together with stance and actions to create combo.
@@coltzhao I appreciate the info I wonder how it'll work all in tandem together and the combat looks very fluent 😁 I wonder why not all bosses tho hmmm
ATM you can shapeshift into defeated monsters in 2 ways, 1. obtaining their weapons (the double bladed staff from the wolf monster at the first trailer) 2. capture them(their souls? their essencs?) with the Gourd .
@@乾淨核能 thanks for the info about the shape shifting also yes it reminds me of nioh 2 you can kill the bosses/enemies and gain there souls which then you can use there attacks it really reminds me of that which I love 😁 thanks for the insight
@@CrazyCookie131 thank you! the differences between the 2 methods IMO is with weapons you cannot combine monster moves with monkey form moves, you shapshift into other monster in a limited time. and you can only perform that monster's move in that period of time. but with the capture method, you can actually (in this trailer) combine monster's moves smoothly with monkey form moves?! we'll wait and see!!
this game uses a heavily modified version of UE5 engine and reportedly is optimized for PS5 and PC (hopefully). The game reportedly will have 80+ bosses and 160+ types of enemies. One difficulty setting but If you beat the boss too fast, the boss will enter a more difficult phase 2. It has NG+ which will have new enemy types and items. Game is mission / chapter based with multiple semi-open areas that have secret areas. normal progression could be around 40 hours. 100% all areas could be 90+ hours. I also heard that they will do reviewer copies and reviews will start to appear from -4 days to Day 1.
In fact, I think the most important prerequisite for playing this game is to read or watch some content and knowledge related to "Journey to the West", because Chinese culture is profound and the game covers a lot of Buddhist principles. If you don’t do your homework in advance, your experience of the game will be greatly reduced.

I'm Excited For This Game And No Worries I'm Still Learning More About The Game As Well :) I Love Soulslike Games I Swear!! :)
