In the event of a tornado, sheltering under an overpass is the absolute worst thing you can do

If you spot a tornado, in close proximity, while driving it's best to pull over. Look at the funnel. If it is moving left or right, stay put. If it appears to not be moving or standing still (it's not), look for an exit and you go left or right. A tornado that appears stationary (again, it's not) is likely moving toward you. You shouldn't try to outrun it. By going left or right, you will get out of the path.
