2020/2021 was the best time to buy a house. With 1.7% interest rate , it was a very very good deal. 2022 , 2023 and 2024 , not ideal to buy due to very high mortgage rate. 2026 might be a good time to buy again. They already started to cut rates.
I just bought a house in Toronto in June. It was actually good because there were no competing bids and we were able to haggle with the seller. It's hard to time the property market. Just buy and hold long term. Rates are renewable every three or five years anyway.

Lay offs everywhere, out of the province migration will start .. like in 2014/2015. Too many house supply in the market. What is happening right now is like in 2007-2009, many people coming in (house price went to the roof).
