it is easy .....you just have to take hydrogen as a basis for comparison with all other electrochemical reactions, so hydrogen's standard electrode potential (E°) is taken zero so that we can compare other depending whether its less than hydrogen (-ve) or greater than hydrogen (+ve)......hope it helps😄
