Thanks for the details. It's amazing how expensive it is without any benefit of connections.

This program sounds great to me. I don't know if I'm just a glutton for punishment, but I am looking for something just like this. Intensive training isn't for everyone...but it's called intensive for a reason.

Thank you this was really helpful, I had a feeling you would say these things after I read about the program.

Hello. Can you please let me know which classes did you take? Did Yale help you with professional career as an actress? Is this program providing you with reel videos for acting audition? Thank you

hey, joyce! i appreciate your candid perspective about the YSCA experience! i was in their directing intensive last summer & was wondering what texts were used in your classes? we had a few plays (i, too, had a similar situation getting obtaining specific editions & had to get most of it at the yale book store at the last minute- so stressful!) & then, of course, readings by uta hagen, et al. I noticed that some conservatory students that came to assist evan (who i just read is transitioning to julliard?!) in our scene study classes knew the pieces we were working on, so it made me wonder how much overlap there was. i'm thinkng about applying to the conservatory next summer, but would like to get a headstart on the readings (especially since I'm dyslexic) & avoid having to re-purchase texts i already have, so any info would be helpful! i also think you mght enjoy the directing program (shorter, more affordable, & still intensive, but worth every penny!), so please let me know if you have any questions, etc! thanks! :)

Hi, Michelle! I'm considering the directing intensive, but like Joyce, I'm finding little information and, apart from your comments here, no reviews of the program. I'd love to hear your thoughts. How many people participate? Is there a broad range of age and experience, or is it mostly college students? Any information you'd be willing to share would be appreciated! Thanks!

How was your directing course with them? I am thinking of taking their Directing course.
