- Today we offer a reading of Martin Luther’s famous letter, which now goes by the title “A Simple Way To Pray.” This was a letter that Luther wrote to his barber, Peter Beskendorf, who had sought Luther’s advice on how to pray. Luther utilizes both the Lord’s Prayer (Matthew 6:5-14) as well as the Ten Commandments (Exodus 20:1-17) to outline a practical prayer method, which can still be used today! Enjoy!

You may not have the typical audiobook voice, but I actually quite enjoy it. It sounds more genuine. Thanks for posting this excellent little tract.

Thank God! God bless you brother continue your work that Is a such Blessing for my life
i am aware that we own a lot as believers to some of the revelation brother Martin had in his time. With retrospect, though, i will thank God that since his breakthrough from some legalism and religiosity we have departed from more of it, such as knowing that the grace of God makes us SAINTS the instant we give our life to the Lord and we are no more SINNERS- we WERE sinners and NOW saints saved by grace. I find that all too many Christians- even Luther here- find it all too easy- with the help of no small amount of sermons- to still view and call themselves sinners and not walk in more fullness of what Jesus has provided, purchased for us on the cross by shedding His blood and that is the freedom from sin !! no more shackles, God is working now on our righteousness !! Halleluyah !!! todah Yeshua !!!
People are sometimes more attached to their dramatic reenactments than Salvation.😮💨
It's interesting that Luther used the Catholic Church's version of the Ten Commandments in that the Protestant's version of the second commandment to not worship graven images was skipped and used the tenth commandment as the nineth and tenth commandment. But he also continued to accept infant baptism as ordained of God.
