Hi Dev! I really appreciate you pointing out that you didn’t acquire all of the clothing and accessories you have overnight. I have always looked up to you and felt like I wasn’t stylish because I didn’t have a lot. Also, as a plus sized person who is trying to lose weight, I have shifted to buying less things because they won’t fit me soon. My style journey is more difficult than others but ik it will all be worth it in the end. Sending you so much love and energy ☺️❤️✨
Well done girl changing your life cause you want to for you I lost weight 10 years ago and have kept it off all this time ,I love fashion even more now and have got quite a bit of vintage things now good luck on your journey ❤
Hey darlin! I am glad that tidbit was helpful to hear. I feel like it’s so easy to compare ourselves to what we see online and forget everything that brought the creator to the point they’re at to be able to be how they are! My collection is a result of over 10 years of hard collecting as an adult and even before that, knowing my style (kind of) from a young age and being able to hold onto those items. Also I have family that enjoys auctions and collecting so they find things for me sometimes. I am so blessed by people on here and also companies that send me items which I wouldn’t be able to afford and that really adds to the mass of it all. Because of that I feel like it’s unfair for people to look at me and compare themselves (I mean we shouldn’t compare ourselves in general. It is the THEIF OF JOY!!!) when I have people I don’t even know personally sending me boxes of things. Anyway, I remember just starting my vintage clothing collection and feeling very behind while looking at some people who had been in the scene for a while but the reality is time goes by fast and there is no rush. Over that time, we discover so much about ourselves and I think digging into that is how we truly find our style anyway. It’s a slow game! I want people to look at this and be excited about the possibilities not discouraged because they aren’t at the same place as me, someone whose job it is to have a lot of things! Anyway, I wish you luck on all your journeys! Sounds like you have some exciting changes happening for you! I am sending love and may the thrift gods bless you and make their face shine upon you & be gracious to you!
Hey Dev, I love that, even if, you are not a resident of Los Angeles, you still instilled awareness about the Los Angeles Fires. I appreciate that you left links down below to help those people in LA that are suffering. You are such an altruistic soul ❤. By the way, I love the seashell hat. It makes you look like a pretty nautical siren. I agree, it does kind of look like a wig, too. I liked the hat at 15:00 because it gave me Tom Sawyer/Huck Finn vibes. I loved all your collection of versatile hats. I am loving the hair color!!!
Hopefully the resources are able to help someone or someone is able to donate to help the folks dealing with the fires! It’s so scary to think about. I loooove that seashell hat hehe! And thank you! I also get that air from the hat at 15!!! Perfect adventure hat haha Thanks for all the love and sending you well wishes!
You have an incredible hat collection! I agree that hats are underrated. I would love to see your bag collection next, vintage accessories are so fun to look at.
What a colorful, magical hat tour! Loved hearing the stories behind all the pieces. Also really appreciated you sending love/sharing resources around what's happening in California. Not just a fashion icon, but also a kind and caring person. We 💜 you Dev!
i think the reason fewer people wear hats nowadays is that you need a sense of self in your dressing that is almost lost to industrialisation fast fashion etc. (voices like yours are a refreshing exception!) funny story i found a gorgeous anthony peto bakerboy hat secondhand but decided it was 'too blue' so i tried to tea-dye it, and guess what?? it looks the feckin same lol. but now i like it better
I feel like Emma Peel from The Avengers would wear the jockey hat! Maybe she actually did wear one in the show, I cant recall as it has been absolute ages and ages since I watched that show but in my minds eye I can see her quite clearly sporting one.
I was so inspired by you wearing a doily as a hat over on your instagram, so I wore one with a ribbon for a fairy picnic🧚 Love your style!! Hopefully 2025 will be the year, where I will dress up as I want to and have fuuuun with it, haha✨
Have you thought of looking up techniques to restore your favorite hat? That could be a fun project and it would prevent it from unraveling further in those areas.
I do not understand why people have to make fun, it just seems like bullying to me. there's good natured ribbing and then there is the other, fuck the other!
People just are scared of different things. I think it’s our ancient mind trying to protect ourselves and stay in the herd- ostracizing anything different or challenging the “status quo”. I just think it’s sad that it can stop people from living the life and doing things they want when in reality most wave makers, path changers do get criticized and made fun of by their peers who just don’t get it yet. All great minds I think go through that with something.
Based off your profile picture I feel like some small hats that perch on the top of your head (like the brown one I wear at the beginning of the video or a beret worn slightly to the side) would look SO good!

I meant The Avengers the original series from the 60's not the film which I have never seen.
A house for a hermit crab?
I don’t think it was that but maybe!!
I romanticize everything too and I love to day dream about stuff and I am curious and I ponder.
It’s the only way to be!

wish I could find a way to wear a hat without it looking odd with my hair (that’s how I feel anyway) ⋆。°✩
