Have you ever worked so hard on your videos, tried to follow trends but couldn’t keep up? We are Scardust and we wrote a song about it, this is "Game of now"
Feels kind of formulaic and generic. Your lyrics are rather verbose and specific. Like, you use a lot of words to not say a whole lot. Kind of like reading a police report or instruction manual instead of art or poetry. It makes the song feel slow even amongst high energy music. Perhaps be more mindful of iambic chunkyness, use less simili and dive deeper into metaphor. Mix up the rhyming scheme or don't always use the last word of the sentence as the rhyme. Don't feel obligated to make things rhyme at all. Also, when you feel like you've written just enough, you've written too much. Erase every other line and try it out. The music is technical and predictable. Break up the patterns, add something unexpected. Take something away. Make something feel out of place for a moment and fix it later You're obviously skilled musicians, you just have to do something unexpected and break a few rules to take yourselves to the next level. I'll keep my eye out for your future stuff.
This is a very good comment and although I liked the song I agree with what you said. They could definitely work on the lyrics, but the instrumental sounds interesting to me, especially the solos. Sounds like you just discovered them, I recommend you to check out their first album Sands of Time which was quite different from this song and a lot of fun!
@@piergiorgiocestra3833 Oh absolutely. I liked the song as well but it's at a level where I wouldn't choose to listen to it over the other options on most of my playlists. I did skim through a lot of their stuff to see if maybe this was just a one off. Nothing really caught my attention but I'll go give sands of time a listen. I do really like their sound, they just gotta do a little extra to reach their potential. I thank you for your input and the recommendation.
