    When playing fetch make his command be "give". Throw the ball and then to get him back call him and say give with your hand out.
    One other item, train him to a little bell hanging down on the door you want him to use to go out. Teach him to ring the bell and then to sit and wait for you to let him out.
    He is precious!!! Enjoy him!!! We have an English (Faith) and by 18 months she was absolutely wonderful and super well behaved. Literally she goes Everywhere with us.
    Like I said , totally enjoy him now because he grows up "quick".

      Thank you for this. I love the bell idea! May have to give that a go. He was quite difficult from 4 months old but he is 9 months now and he has started being able to lay still on an evening with us again and he has the most gentle loving nature already. He makes us very happy 🥰 thank you that is very true xx

    Your puppy is adorable! Thank you for sharing the good and the bad. I think it’s so important for people to see what it’s like to have a dog and know it’s not all cute and cuddles all the time which is what most people share only.

      Aw thank you. We think so 🥰 oh definitely it’s definitely not been plain sailing especially when he was little but it definitely gets easier with age but he still gives the best cuddles ☺️

    Yes having a puppy is harder than having kids!! I have 5 children and a 6 month old Labrador and finding it really tough. I would definitely have another kid than another puppy. I hope after the first year it does get easier 😀

      Yes I would deff put it up there as being one of the most hardest things we do as humans. I have a 3 year old. And my puppy is harder right now! Praying for the better days x

    So far I’ve mastered the sit. But struggling with stopping him jumping up and also the biting seems abit too much then what he should be as a puppy very challenging atm. Milo is 4 months old x

    How is he if you are both out without him?!

      He cries initially when he knows we are going out without him but he is fine and settles once we leave x

    hi im getting a sprocker puppy in a couple weeks. any advice for off lead training / recall? did you use a long line initially?

      Congratulations! To be honest we just let Arnie off and he’s always stayed pretty close to us. We have started working on his recall using a whistle and giving him a treat when he comes back. He has responded really well to this. We have a dog walker come when Karl both have to be out the house and we can’t take Arnie and I know she uses a long line with him and started him on that with a whistle so it’s definitely a good option so you feel more relaxed at first x

    How long do you do nap time?

    • @CharlotteJordan87
      @CharlotteJordan87  3 года назад +1

      Usually about an hour but he tends to let us know when he is ready to come out x

    You have to be firm ,and don't treat them like a baby
