Thanks for taking us along on your adventure!
Another huge triumph, another great video! What an awesome truck it'll be!
Cheers Mate!!
I used to drive one of the 245 utes with Telecom. It never carried anything other that people on board, and only needed to be driven in reverse or 2nd gear all day. The vehicle fleet also included a couple of F350s with utterly anaemic 250 Falcon engines. The 245 Dodges were vastly better performers.
That's awesome mate good to hear some stories of these old girls from back in the day!!
@@bambamfabrications As I recall, the ute was the Dodge D5n 200 and the trucks (used to tow chain trenchers) were the 300 series.
I knew Ford offered the 250 Falcon six as an option in the 1970’s F100’s as well as Aussie Cleveland V8’s but thought the F350’s were V8 only, I knew Ford used the 240 and 300 sixes but these were not the Aussie sixes, I stand corrected as time diminishes the memory
@@jamesgovett3225 Definitely a 250, to make matters worse they had an LPG conversion to further sap the performance. These F350s made 4 mpg on gas and 7 mpg on petrol. Evil things.
Yes the engines on them seem to be made to keep running.
Magnificent guys.
After watching American ytube for the last 12 months it's a bit weird seeing the steering wheel on the RIGHT side😂.
These old trucks never cease to amaze me on getting them running again.
If you put fuel into a spray bottle it will atomise it just like the carby, pouring fuel won't distribute through manifold
Great episode boys. Cheers from 🇬🇧

That starter tool... that's pegs leg!

Hi mate, if Bam Bam wants to get it home I've got a 9 ton Isuzu body truck that I'd be keen to cart it for him.
Hey mate really appreciate the offer where are you located?
I'm in Ravenshoe, I've emailed you about the vehicle's up on the station I live on and other vehicles I have.

You guys are hilarious. I don't care how good of a buddy I would stick that lone wolf cheater up his ass if he kept trying to zap me. Lmao Remind me of many good times with my friends. Great job guys!

Cheers legend!!
Fck yeah, cool old trucks, shame their paint prep wasnt the best,
had a 1974 inter D1310 4x4, loved it :):):)
Watching from Kentucky. Love your videos. Would love to see you do some videos with Vice Grip Garage or Dylan McCool. That truck looks more like an International than a Dodge. Still a neat truck. Keep up the good work.
Hey listen you silly bugger's. You only use "start Ya bastard " on diesel's. Please only tip a bit of fuel down the carby, just a small drink at a time. The rule of the bush. Improvise. What a fuckin' winner.
My father had a long wheelbase Dodge V8 318 like this with split rims putting be gearbox in was a nice challenge by yourself
Only in Australia where they wear flip flops in a junkyard!
Yep Ain't no way I'd be wearing flip flops or shorts in a junk yard.
Don`t waste the opportunity to build up a great original truck. Just get it road worthy give it a freshen up, new deck ,and keep all of the beautiful patina.. Be a great looking recovery/transport vehicle. That`s what I would do. Anyway, great content. Peace to all..
Brilliant stuff, amazing how the 245 kept itself dry after being out there for all that time, cheers
luckily that throttle butterfly seized on the carby and formed a perfect seal lol
That is not an engine you see very often in the United States , I'd like to know more about that 6 cylinder hemi, you did call it a him a hemi right? with the plugs in the side. I'd love to see that with the valve cover off.!
Being from America I love seeing the outback and the vehicles used to get around in the bush
Cheers Mate plenty more of these vids coming!!
I hit the like as soon as the video loaded! Absolutely stoked! Bambam and You are top notch to watch.
Cheers legend!!
@@bambamfabrications The man himself has spoken, made my Friday a solid 10 out of 10 beers mate!.
Think you can keep your PMG Dodge. From my experience if it ever had service it would be more good luck than good management!
Not true My father was a line inspector with P .M .G.if any thing opersite had to much money to waste. They used to dispose of it and buy new endless money in those days
Fellers, I know nothing about cars but everything about how amazing it is to see these old girls up and running again. Beautiful to watch! Nice work, gentlemen.
You guys are are such an enjoyment to watch here in Florida! Sometimes the accent in speech is tough to understand but the emotions are all the same universal language. Great video to see how different countries sell different variations of their products overseas.
Cheers Mate!!
joystick starter, who needs different colored wires, is very overrated.
That is bloody cool it just wants to live awesome video . I reckon the WAM BAM 5000 for your starter switch
Haha i love it!!
How am I just now finding this channel? Banger content love the accent and actually having fun resurrecting old cars. Cheers from Puerto Rico.
Cheers Mate!!
Love u guys videos great content glad to see an ole dodge back up and moving
Cheers Mate!!
Mopar or No Car
It's Safer, more Efficient, and better looking than a Great-Wall, Ssangyong, Haval or MG
Absolutely mate!!
Dodges are like that even in America, just bulletproof sweethearts that don’t give up even when the world gave up on them a long time ago!
Absolutely mate they are bulletproof those old dodges!
Nice more Right hand drive trucks... Awesome find...
Cheers Mate!!
Fantastic vid gents .... keep the banter and ribbing going , enjoy immensely you guys getting old cars running ...... lol .... Love your channel ... cheers .... 👍👍👍👍

SHITY Start Here I Tell Ya! 🤣
You and me both mate
@@sickpuppycody honestly nothing better than seeing yourself and other people putting in the effort to give those old forgotten about rigs a new lease on life. 👌
Again I'm thinking the ignition switch Bam fabbed up should be referred to as the S.H.I.T.Y device from here on out. 🤔
Couldn’t click on this one fast enough an grab a beer!!
🍺cheers Mate!🍺
Hope it will find a restoring home.
I agree,, do the patrol!!! my dad has an MQ patrol, bought it when i came a long in 1984. Still drives it today with over 750 on the clock.
Another cracker of an episode lads
The sad part is to fix something this rusted would take roughly the price of a new one but the truck runs drives so it is never easy to decide what to do
thats why you look for ones that arent too rotted out and you work on it yourself. I daily a 94 ford f-150 4x4 truck and it runsand drives great. it only has 120k miles on it low for 30 years old.
Todos poniendo de su parte los mecánicos jóvenes y el hermoso y viejo camión Dodge
Cheers Mate!!
Soooo glad this legend got started &Able to drive. What area of Australia are you from?
North Queensland mate.
Mopar or no car lol.. fantastic vedio

Cheers mate!! It's going to come in handy the space invaders remote! 😂
Master blaster for the starter switch
Great video.
What is the spray you used on the outside of the carby?
Cheers Mate! It's called corrosion X
That’s my kind of fun😂
Bloody fantastic...and how good was that camp site !
It's an awesome camp spot mate!
Another great save guys, lovely old truck. I really enjoy these kind of videos, thanks.
Looked a lovely spot for a camp too. A few beers and a fire, doesn't get much better than that 😀
Cheers Mate!! Was a cracking day!!
